This is the Gaian Community Discussion Guide. Since the creation of the Gaian Community Discussion Forum, there has been some confusion as to topics and posting.

Since this is a relatively new forum, the admins do not have a set firm set of rules yet. So please simply use this guide as a simple guideline and not set in stone.

Please feel free to discuss and contribute your feelings to this thread. Meanwhile, this guide will continue to slowly update to bring you the latest up to date information concerning the Gaian Community Discussion Forum and its inhabitants.

What is 'community discussion?'

Community discussion is essentially discussion about any issues relating to Gaia. This can include topics which affects specific regions of Gaia, or even Gaia as a whole. Previous examples from the forum include a discussion about whether Gaia is becoming too large, and about flaming in Avatar talk.

What topics are OK to post in the Gaian Community Discussion Forum???

- Anything related to NPCs (Non Player Characters)
- Gaian Events (Easter, Halloween, Christmas, Balls, etc)
- Fanthreads about characters
- Rumours about the NPCs
- Questions about the Gaian community's storyline or your thoughts on it.
- Storyline of the world of Gaia
- Community Discussion

This is a forum about avatars, so what's wrong with posting threads about them?

Now, while Gaia Community Discussion was created for discussion about avatars, at this time there is an existing sub-forum about avatars: Avatar Talk. This means that in general any threads about fashion in regard to avatars should be moved to Avatar Talk. For more specifics, see the guide below:

How can I make a good thread in Gaia Community Discussion?

One of the important factors of making threads in GCD is that because the forum is relatively small, we'd like to cut down on repeat threads if possible. You might get an absolutely awesome idea for a thread, but there's a lot of awesome people out there. Before posting, please check to see if there is already a thread up: if you love an NPC, check to see if that NPC has a fan-thread (links available below). If you want to discuss theories...check to make sure your theory isn't currently being discussed.

With that said, you can feel free to make any thread you like, so long as it meets the general guidelines for the forum. Anything about NPCs, events, the storyline of Gaia, or community issues (such as growth, flaming, elitism, etc.) would make a fine thread for GCD. However, because NPCs have been the focus of the forum up to this point, you are especially encouraged to make threads about one of the other topics of GCD.

The Von Helson/Gambino contraversy.
Ever since the Von Helson's have appeared...they're has been much disturbance and hardship in the Gaian community. Rumours run rampant about the girls alleged 'history'. Rumours from them being everything from Vampires, to Zombies...to just normal spoiled rich girls.

As for Gambino, people question his recent dismissial from Durem..and wonder if he will be able to pool his resources, and loyal fans, to his former glory? Also rumours continue if the twins still have their evil grip over poor Gino.

The 3rd annual Gaian Ball (run by users!) took place March 5th from 12pm PST and ended on Sunday (march 6th) at 3pm PST. No items were given out at this ball, but a lot of people said they had a blast nonetheless!
