Help Center: Live Chat

Hi there,

We wanted to remind you of a new feature to our Help Center: Live Chat!

A Live Agent will be able to help you with ONLY certain issues:

  • Billing Questions: Grants may take a short period to be placed in your account. Please wait up to an hour to see if they appear before Chatting/Creating a ticket.
  • Secondary Authentication: Removing/disabling secondary authentication from your account when you are unable to do so yourself.
  • IP Verification with Secondary Authentication.
  • Regaining Access to your account: Resetting/replacing forgotten passwords. This does not include ban appeals. For those please fill out a General Inquiry ticket and choose Ban Appeal as the subject.
  • Closing your account (Gaia does not delete accounts. Asking for a closure means your account will be banned so it can not be accessed until/unless you return)

Live Chat hours currently are Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm PST. If the feature proves popular enough we will expand the days/times Live Chat is available and the issues they can help with!

Project FAQ Updates

Hi y'all!

We've made some updates to the FAQ posts in the rules threads and wanted to send you all an alert to let everyone know!

The following has been added:
gaia_angelleft How many images can I include for reference?
If you have multiple images for mocks (such as different poses, reference gradients for new colors, etc) please combine these into 1 image.

gaia_angelleft How long can my item name and description be?
Your item name may have 35 characters and the description may have 500. One place you could check these numbers is here!

gaia_angelleft Can my item description include kaomoji or ASCII art?
We do allow these as long as the characters are under the limit. Some characters do not work in our system. This is out of our control and we do not have a definitive list of characters that do not work. Submitting with these is now considered "at your own risk", and if the formatting breaks we will no longer update descriptions. Please submit wisely!

gaia_angelleft Can I use emoji in my item's name and description?
We do allow emoji in item's descriptions. Emojis show differently on different devices and we have no control over this.
For item names we will not allow emojis. You can use unicode characters for item names (ie: ⇖☆♧♕, etc).

If it's been awhile please make sure to read over the rules threads to make sure you're still up to date!

Small Updates to Dress Up and Inventory

Some of you might had noticed that there is now a color selection button right beside the "show background" link in the avatar dress up. This allows you to customize the background color when the default background is disabled.

In the inventory system, the "stick to top" setting is now saved on server side so any browser which blocks cookies will still remember the setting. Hope this will help with users running on mobile browsers.

We had a critical database failure this morning preventing login to work. Apologies for the error. We're working towards preventing this from happening in the future.

Coupon Changes

Greetings, Gaians!

I come bearing important information about some updates and upgrades to our coupon system!

  • Coupons no longer need to be manually activated by clicking the button in the announcement.
  • All available coupons are now displayed on the bottom of the payments page, in the following format:

      (HTML code) Coupon Type: Bonus Amount or Item, (min $+) [exp. MM/DD] Limit #

  • Choose your desired coupon from the drop-down box underneath the Order Summary. The corresponding coupon code will automatically be entered into the box for you. Click apply, and you're ready to check-out.


Coupon Announcements will still be available with all of the information they previously contained, except for the "Activate" button.

We hope these changes will provide a better coupon experience for everyone!

Dress-Up Woes

Thank you to everyone reporting the issues you're experiencing with avatar customization! Our devs are on the case and everything should be resolved shortly.

Edit: A fix has been pushed, it will take approximately 14 minutes to become live.

Avatar Builder color picker update

The color picker on the Avatar Builder had also been updated with the same picker as the Dress Up page. Your color setting can now be saved.

The search engine update is half way done. You can now search for avatar favorites by the item name and it'll show avatars that have the item equipped.

Favorite and guild search should be completely fixed tonight, while username search should be done over the weekend.

PS - looks like favorites search is broken. A fix will be uploaded by 9:40am, PST.
