I loves me Anne Rice, she has a distinct style and takes a certain taste to read. But I have always loved her work, regardless of whether people b***h about it or not!

ME TOO!! I agree, she has a very unique style, and I guess to some people, they could consider it a little harsh, or overbearing. I personally think that all of her work is truelly amazing! heart

I have noticed though, that the people that like Anne Rice, tend not to like Twilight...I'm wondering if it has something to the effect that Anne Rice's work seem to be more "Mature" compared to the latter.

Do you like Anne Rice's Vampire chronicles?

I found them on google. I haven't made my own anti Twilight pics.... yet. And I haven't read Vampire Chronicles but I do like Anne Rice. If you love vampires and hate Twilight I would highly recommend JR Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood series. I found the first one just after my disappointment after reading the first Twilight and it blew my mind.

I found them on google. I haven't made my own anti Twilight pics.... yet. And I haven't read Vampire Chronicles but I do like Anne Rice. If you love vampires and hate Twilight I would highly recommend JR Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood series. I found the first one just after my disappointment after reading the first Twilight and it blew my mind.

@ kiti_luv_loki: Sometimes, I know people who like both. I don't think you can compare the two. Anne Rice writes for adults, Stephenie Meyer writes for 12 year old girls. You can not compare the two works. Twilight is a poorly written wet dream, Anne Rice's works are heavy dramas and laced with historical references.

Admittedly I don't like everything Anne Rice has written, there are some books I can not get into no matters how many times I try. While others I eat up, like a fat kid in a pudding factory!

@ Arisa Takera: DAMN IT that reminds me I have to remember what the hell that one vampire novel is called. I read it about 2-3 years ago and it BLEW MY MIND. I ADORED IT. I mean funny, original, spunky, well written. It totally outshines Twilight, and it was set during the Crusades. Damn it. I wish I could remember what it was called. I always forget. I just remember the cover of the novel.

I guess your right about the comparison factor...Maybe thats why, cause I happen to be nowhere near 12 rofl

Ya, The Sleeping Beauty ones are a lil bit harder for me, I can read maybe a chapter then put it down for awhile.

ARE YOU KIDDING, I ADORE THE SLEEPING BEAUTY SERIES! I loved it, LOVED IT. I'm totally into those kinds of kinks though, and I love erotic novels! So maybe that is why I feel head over heels in love with that series.

edit: I had those books stolen from me 3 times, and then I stopped buying new copies. I should get it again, I wouldn't mind reading them once more! It's been a few years since I have read them.

edit #2: Anyways I have to leave my comp for a while. Seems like I must go decorate the house. *Groans* I hate this part of the holidays.
