Hello! Hi! Howdy! How are you? Oh, I'm fine thank you. Ok. Hello. Yes. Ok. Hi. My name is Hassli and I am the chairman of Gaia's one and only political party, the D-Party. The monopartisan system works!

We are holding a tea party summit for the president to give him a chance to get to know the common man (P.S. that's you!). After all, he is our President. Forever. Election day is only two years away, and if we want Diedrich to be Eternal President Dictator Diedrich, we need to throw little soirees like this to keep his image good.

What is a tea party summit? It's part tea which is a weird type of drink that only tastes good with lots of sugar, part party which is a lot of people coming together to be friends, and part summit which is a srs political talk meeting. So dress in your tea party best (we at the D-Party believe this involves silly hats and frilly gloves), grab yourself a spot of tea and maybe one of those yummy cakes or biscuits (that's a very dry British cookie), and enjoy yourself!

D-Party members will use this event to do a little politicking. So don't mind us if we ask you to endorse the President for the next election or anything. We also expect much hand kissing and baby shaking.

So let's have a good time!

The President Himself will be stopping by December 6th at 12 pm PST
(Not sure what time that is for your time zone? Figure it out here)

During this time, I suggest you ask Diedrich any burning questions you have, because we may not get another chance like this for some time.

The event will run from Friday, December 5th until Sunday December 7th. (we may start a little early on Thursday, because we love to party!)

Diedrich's Presidency
Diedrich has gone down in history as Gaia's first ever president. Nominated by himself, and elected by sheer button pressing, Diedrich is Gaia's most greatest president ever!

On November 5th, 2012, he nominated himself for President. At the time he thought he would be running unopposed. You can see his nomination and original platform here. The next day, a rival appeared: Friedrich. He was like a clone or something. In order to have a fair race the two agreed to a Presidential Debate. You can see Friedrich's announcement here. You can see a transcript of their debates here. Diedrich won in a landslide victory as noted by a dev alert.

Here is his winning speech:



Since his presidency has has done few things. Most notably he declared the Month of March "Cute Month" as seen here. During the Government shut down, Diedrich made an announcement where he decided he would also take on the position of Government.

He even has a 69% Approval rating which is pretty good.


At election day last month, Carl the Elk was elected Vice President.


The D-Party
The D-Party is Gaia's only political party. We are a group of President Diedrich supporters. Our mission is to keep Diedrich in office indefinitely. Also, it is our mission to party! Everybody likes a party! Since our creation, November 24, 2013, we have thrown many parties, and we even got Carl elected as Vice President.

Isn't politics fun? The monopartisan system is a success!

You can say anything you want to Diedrich, but please don't be rude. We would really like it if you could try to ask pertinent questions to help everyone get to know more things about Diedrich, but it is fine if you ask him anything.

I'm sorry, but Diedrich is a very busy grunny. He might not have had time to speak with you directly. It isn't because you are not friends or anything. You are still friends.

How did you get Diedrich to Show up to your party?
I purchased a mint ticket from the very wonderful Ecavi, and chose Diedrich as my NPC!

But Hassli, isn't the mint ticket for a one-on-one with an npc only?
I asked, and the admins were fine with me throwing a party and inviting all Diedrich supporters. Diedrich is president of Gaia, so everyone in Gaia is a Diedrich Supporter. You are welcome.

How is this a date?
A party is like a date. It's just also with a lot of people whom you get along with and are not necessarily attracted to. These are usually called friends. Thank you for showing up to the party date!

Are there any items associated with this event?
Other than the donated prize items, No. YES! Diedrich brought us some extra ties!

Isn't this little like the Amethyst Ticket?
I do liek throwing events, so maybe a little bit. Differences include (a) we don't get an item for this event, (b) we don't get our own forum for this event, (c) Diedrich is not a repeat bot, and (d) we had no announcement announcing our event. I would like to have an amethyst ticket at some point, but I never managed to get my hands on one. Speaking to Diedrich directly sounds way better anyway.

Why is this a "Tea Party Summit"?
This is actually a parody of U.S. President Obama's 2009 Beer Summit. It was kind of silly, and a way for Obama to get to know the everyman. Beer isn't really the D-Party's style. Besides, D-Party Tea Party Summit rolls off the tongue really well.

Wait, since when is Carl Vice President?
Since the D-Party voted him into office at the D-Party Mid-Terms on November 4th of this year! He ran a good campaign. He even tries to look Vice-Presidential.
