Winter Wonderland - A Soquili Event!

As the icy claws of winter close around the Kawani Lands, a brisk chill falls over all of its denizens. Some among them go into hibernation. Others migrate to warmer climates. But many more decide to stay and tough out the frigid months to come. Huddled together for warmth, some even daring to linger near the fires of the Kawani two leggers, Soquili and familiar alike will find themselves touched by the wonders of the season. For three cold months, they will share in a time of peace, a time of reflection... Each of them waiting for the rebirth that draws near. The quiet lends time to better themselves and celebrate with one another what is yet to come. To cherish what they have and eagerly await the blossoming of spring.

General Rules

1. Be polite and respectful.
   
2. Show good sportsmanship. You may not win what you want, but be happy for those that do! Let's spread some good vibes!
   
3. Questions should be directed towards the host of the contest or sale you're participating in.
   
4. Please be aware that those running the game might have to make a call on something they didn't go over in the rules. Please respect the host's ruling.
   
5. Please do not use post styles when submitting contest entries.
   
6. Please be mindful that mistakes do happen when lists are being compiled. If you see your name missed, please notify the host prior to prize rolling in order to be included in the list. If a mistake is made during rolling or during announcements of winners, please do not expect compensation to be given for the error, outside of remedying it for future rolls. It is entirely up to the colorist/staff if they choose to compensate for a goof, and compensation is an exception, not the rule.
   
7. Mules may not be used to increase a user's chances of winning.
   
8. A user may pass on any wins not listed on the front page, such as surprise prizes (including premade prizes that are listed but not shown), consolation prizes, and additional colorists rolling from a thread. They must accept any non-announced prizes within 48 hours, or it will be assumed they have passed on the win.
   
9. A user may provide preference lists for any contest that offers multiple prizes that are distributed at the same time, with pets listed earlier indicating a higher preference. They may exclude pets they are not interested in.
   
10. A user may not back out of a contest, prize, or sale once they've entered or added the pet to their preference list. However, we would appreciate it if you let hosts know when you are no longer eligible for a prize (e.g. when you've hit your cap from a separate contest).
    
11. A user should not be proxied for unless they ask to be proxied.
    
12. As a general rule, do not delete posts in contests, especially if they involve dice. If you must delete it, please confirm it is allowed in the contest rules or ask the contest host for permission.
    
13. Please refrain from prematurely congratulating users on wins; staff should verify winners after rolling is complete before pets may be taken for certing and users are congratulated.

Caps

1. A single user is allowed to win only one from each area: Freebie and Paid Raffle. This means the most one user can walk away with is 1 Freebie Soquili, 1 Freebie Familiar and 1 Paid Raffle (Soquili or Familiar).
   
2. There are no auction pets in this year's event.
   
3. Freebies count for the month of December.
   
4. If the win is co-owned or given away, the win applies to both the winning owner and the receiving owner. Familiars cannot be co-owned.
   
5. If the win was proxied, the win applies only to the receiving owner.

Trades

1. Please do not discuss gold/platinum publicly. This includes comments on your own or another user's funds, as well as comments on a user's participation in the paid raffle.
   
2. All event-related trades must sent to the applicable mule: Soquili-Activities.
   
3. If a raffle trade has not been initiated by the time the listkeeper reaches your post or within 12 hours of your post (whichever comes later), your order will be skipped.
   
4. No refunds.

Staff Participation
Staff receiving an Event Freebie (an additional opt-in compensation offered to staff who contribute to the event) are not eligible to participate in the event for pet prizes, outside of custom or breeding slots; participating for non-pet prizes is is fair game. However, they may proxy for other users. Please be aware that these staff cannot be given raffle tickets or gifted event pet wins, including co-ownerships.

The list of staff who intend to claim an Event Freebie are below; because this is an opt-in feature, the list may continue to grow, and we ask that you confirm Event Freebie status with any unlisted staff member before offering them an event pet or raffle tickets.

Staff who do not receive an Event Freebie may participate in the event, although they are excluded from winning judged contests and pets they have colored.
