At sunset on what promises to be the longest night of the year, you find yourself in the presence of two Cerynei readying themselves for hours of trekking, all for the purpose of finding the perfect spot to stargaze. They have been waiting for this all year, and they are not alone - across the Kawani Lands, others can be found on cloudless nights, telling tales about the constellations. But the longest night is special, allowing them the most time to study and reminisce about as many constellations as they can find. You think about joining them... After all, you're sure they have some good stories to tell, and maybe you'll meet some friends along the way.
How This Will Work
Like most CYOAs, this one will have a round of sign-ups, as listed above. Those who sign up during the sign-up period will be eligible to participate in the game itself. The final prompt of this game is a judged contest for the Warm Wind; following the final prompt, a participation raffle will raffle off the Arctic Sunrise and Aurora Swirl pets. The other pets listed above may be won through encounters during the adventure.
The gameplay itself will consist of various rounds of prompts and multiple-choice answers to the prompts. Players will have five minutes from the posting of the prompt to choose their answer from those presented. Players may be eliminated as gameplay proceeds, and side quests may present themselves.
Because the final portion of this game is judged, the final prompt will be revealed three days in advance of the game to provide extra time for contestants to formulate their entries. The prompt will not be given with context, so you will have an hour from the posting of the final prompt during actual gameplay to modify your entry (or write it anew) as you see fit and post it. There will be a word limit of 500 words.
Proxies may not enter the judged portion of the contest. However, anyone who signs up and plays at least one round of the game will be eligible for a ticket in the participation raffle.
General Rules
1. Be polite and respectful.
2. Show good sportsmanship. Let's spread some good cheer!
3. Questions should be directed to Mahogany Sunset.
4. Please do not use post styles when submitting entries.
5. Please be mindful that mistakes do happen when lists are being compiled. If you see your name missed, please notify the host prior to prize rolling in order to be included in the list. If a mistake is made during rolling or during announcements of winners, please do not expect compensation to be given for the error, outside of remedying it for future rolls. It is entirely up to the colorist/staff if they choose to compensate for a goof, and compensation is an exception, not the rule.
6. Mules may not be used to increase a user's chance of winning.
7. A win from this game will count as your Freebie Soquili or Freebie Familiar for December.
Game Specific Rules
1. Fill out the forms completely as they appear.
2. Do not delete or edit your posts. The deletion of posts will lead to disqualification from the game. You may edit the preference list in your sign-up post until the thread is locked for judging of the final prompt.
3. Preference lists with "any" or "whatever is left" are considered incomplete and will be re-rolled if no defined preferences remain.
4. Proxies are allowed, but will not be able to participate in the final prompt.
