Even if I said it before, if in case I did not, thank you.
Due to Inktober, and now owning a small watercolor set, I wanted to try my hand at
traditional a lil more often. It's also nice to learn new techniques. I have another piece
I made, it's just that I only have the opportunity to photograph stuff in the evenings in
low light so everything looks muddy.
What watercolor set did you get? ouo
Yeah, low lighting doesn't make good photography :<
What about under some bright lights or something? Whenever I need some solid lighting, I go to my kitchen since it's the brightest room in the house~ ouo
The lighting in my kitchen is crap. For Inktober, I photographed under the hanging
lights in the dining area of the kitchen but everything was still yellow and my shadow
continued to get in the way. I need to find a good, bright, light source. I saw another
artist in a video with two desk lamps on opposite sides of the art with a camera above
so shadows didn't interfere. I just don't have a place for that set up. One of these days.
Apparently, there's a 36ct too for $19. I was so excited when it came to the refillable
(with water) water brush... but it did not work how I liked, so, I just use standard brushes.

Hey, that's the set I got as well~ 4laugh
I also didn't like the brush too much, so I use it like a normal brush XD;;
The only time I use the water in its body is when I'm too lazy to go get water, so I then pour it out onto the little dish to use it like that.......... not very practical, but it works! ninja
After my Inktober journey, I went and got two different types of watercolor sets.... which I have yet to try................. I lack the space to spread out, so I'm slowly working on that @m@;;
Comments:
They've been long abandoned. They are miles from civilization on one of many unnamed islands. There's only ONE tree and several broken branches. Someone leaves the island and avoids drowning. Not both. (Left the process in)
Comments: Another warm-up tutorial. This is similar to the one I did in my sketchbook, but I wanted to try these techniques on my tablet. Figured it would help me grow more comfortable using it. Also sort of having an off day.
Warm ups are important~
Have you gotten more comfortable with your tablet? ouo

Lately, when I do a lil watercolor, I use the 1'x2' space in front of my monitor and keep
the keyboard and mouse on the pull out tray below. I'm super careful to not spill either
container of water (one for pure one for rinsing) and to be super careful not to splatter
paint on the monitor. But yeah, with the paint brush, I originally filled it up and squeezed
it onto the cakes I wanted to paint with so I wouldn't have to dip a brush into the water
dish and drop the water onto the cake 15+ times. I don't trust having a squirt bottle near
the computer.
Yes, yes, it's a duckie shaped snowball maker. Now just imagine, kamikaze snow duckies.
An angry Chii points and glares at her enemy. "Go forth my duckie spawn! Annihilate!"
Hundreds of rows of snow duckies turn in unison and dart forward, exploding as they
pummel Chii's enemy, rendering them unconscious under a giant pile of snow. rofl
