I try to work fast, I want to be a super awesome artist/graphic designer one day. I was taught in my old technical school that if I didn't have something up the day I was assigned a project, that I was falling behind. gonk
That work ethic will go a long way to help you become a success as an artist!

One thing I was thinking too; maybe you could use those open blue areas at the top of the banner to convey the name of the "Dev Meat", the day and time they take place and maybe a short blurb about the meats, or maybe a funny little caption that relates the image to the meats somehow.
