Otter's heart thumped in his chest. Should he kiss her? He almost lost her once already, he should take things slow. He brushed his thumb across her cheek to wipe away her tears, and a huge smile spread across his face as he saw her get brighter and brighter.

It was now Tuesday and Reginald Thorton was puffed up and pacing back and forth in front of the door that led to the school's pool. He was anxiously awaiting the arrival of each student so that he could humiliate, ahem... asses their swimming capabilities. If any student refused to do the task then they would be made to run laps around the gym until the end of the class, he did not care how weak they were. If they wouldn't participate in one thing then he would make them do another whether they like it or not.

He tugged at the top of his swim trunks and placed his whistle around his neck as he waited. Each student would have a school issued swimsuit. The girls would have black one-piece ones and the boys would have black swim trunks. Of course, Reginald thought swim trunks were useless. He preferred the contour lines of a speedo, but the school hadn't seen his suggestion of them to be that useful.

Isamu was just around the corner to the hallway where the door to the pool was. His legs trembled and his body shook. Even just the idea of having to look at the water was making his stomach churn. He had hoped that Reginald was joking when he had said that their next task would involve swimming. If it did then this was going to be a long day, for not only Isamu, but Reginald and the other students as well. If the coach even tried to push him into doing something that he really really didn't want to do there would be a complete and utter hell caste upon the class.

The night before had been a long one. he had been up all night bickering back and forth with Nurse Alappassi. She hadn't been able to get him to sleep like she said she would and in the end the stubborn student had won. However, he wasn't able to leave the infirmary before first consuming a banana and some yogurt.

The doors behind Reginald quietly, slowly on greased hinges, and in stepped a thoroughly bedraggled and ragged Fredrik. He walked with a limp, and wore the shredded remains of his pants from the previous days. His eyes, nearly shut and dark bags stretching beneath them. He blinked tiredly at Reginald before shuffling past the man, giving a tired grunt as he moved. Walking to the edge of the pool, he stood as straight as he was able, swaying slightly.

Awaking to a superbly annoying alarm clock, Otter rolled out of bed and lazily got dressed. The same jeans from yesterday, and a clean black t-shirt. He would need to get his clothes laundered at some point, but they didn't smell yet, so that could wait. Gym today, what a pain. At least it was swimming. He wondered whether or not to show off. He'd certainly impress any girl there with any attraction to athletics. He thought back to his date with Bianca, and the arrangements he had made with her. Lunch outside by the big tree near the cafeteria. He couldn't wait. He went for a jog, as per his usual morning routine, and then headed to gym.

In his dorm, he didn't feel safe. In the school, he didn't feel safe. He's never felt safe anywhere he's been. Maybe Maverick will gain a little security in this school?

He could only nap for twenty minutes until he felt something crawl up his leg. He rubbed his leg and thought he swiped away a bug of some sort. Then he felt something crawling on his arm, then his neck. Everywhere. His eyes opened from shock.



"εжзεжзεжзεжз!!!!!" A huge shadowy monster floated above him in his bed. It looked as though a black storm cloud was above him, and black tentacle-like appendages reached down to Maverick and wrapped themselves around his arms and legs.

Maverick's eyes grew big and he began to scream louder than he thought he ever could. His body squirmed to try to free himself from the monsters grip.

"ʞɔıɹǝʌɐɯ." The monster screeched.
Then the monster screeched once again, "oɐʞɐʇ."

Maverick continued screaming, hoping someone would come rescue him. The monster only looked down at him with piercing eyes.

Yesterday was very chaotic, but lovely for the demon girl. Gym was bad and English class was worse. It wasn't until lunch time and after did she have fun. Even met a guy who liked her followed by a lovely dinner at his family's restaurant. Despite the misunderstanding they had, the night finished off nicely. Bianca had finally beaten the alarm clock for once and was up stretching for today's gym activity. As if yesterday wasn't horrible enough, but at least it was swimming. Yet, she knew all the water creatures would excel in this part of the class. When she was done stretching, she brushed her hair. then stiffed it all in a messy bun. Hopefully she would be able to meet up with Petra soon and tell her about what happened after math class. She left her dorm, knowing after she would need to come back and shower up. Since today was swimming in gym, they had a little more time to get to the next class.

She was excited to go to gym today even though Mr.Needstogetlaid would be pushing them around. As long as Otter was there, class would never be awful for her. So far upon arriving at the gym, she saw Fredrik, the guy who nearly got into it with Miss Diamond, and Otter who she waved at him before going into the locker room to change. The bathing suit was alright, the school's colors weren't so bad. Any other time, wearing a bathing suit around others wasn't a problem, but now it was... Why, that was all beyond the demon girl. Going up to her new found friend (we all know they are totally into each other) and smiled at him. "Hey Otter. Gym is going to suck today.. At least it isn't rope climbing." She laughed while taking a seat near the edge of the pool and stuck her feet in.

His spirits were high after his jog. His raised pulse and quickened breathing always washed his thoughts clean of any stress. He entered the gym and went to the locker room to shower off after a quick wave to Bianca. The cold water felt good on his skin as he washed the sweat of his skin and soothed the heat from his muscles. Otter pulled his trunks out of his bag, and pulled them over his legs, tying them at the waist. The pool was starting to fill with students, and the teacher was doing some weird stretches, but the water sounded so inviting as the small waves lapped against the edges.
"Pety it's fool o' chlorine." He mumbled to himself right before Bianca showed up. He nearly blushed when he saw her, but managed to hold it in. The way the suit clung to her form made dark thoughts seep into the recesses of his mind, but those too were repressed. "Wow... Yoo look.... outstandin', lass," he stammered as she sat next to him.

Bianca started to glow lightly as he complimented her. All the girls were going to be gawking at the guys and vice versa. She was definitely guilty of taking a good look at Otter. His body shape was... Amazing! She glowed even brighter and tried not to stare so hard at him. "Thank you dear, you look good too" she giggled. Slowly other students began to come in, some of the boys showing off their muscles and howling at Bianca and some other girls that were around the pool.. The devil girl rolled her eyes and looked down at her feet. "I hope I won't distract you from swimming.", she winked at Otter then playfully splashed a little water on his legs.

It's been a while. Certainly a while. The mathematics teacher, Kyrian, was already long gone and honestly, Lucien didn't know how exactly he is supposed to mold himself in the student body. There were so many faces he had to remember, let alone learn the names that belongs to them. The only person he'd actually talked to was his roommate, but that doesn't count.

Contemplating in his sea of thoughts, Lucien had already ditched and discarded his meal in the garbage before heading into the dormitory hallways, convincing himself that an hour or two of sleep would grant him the ability to actually make himself belong in the school. It was no telling what would lie down the road in the next few years of his life in the academy.

That is, until there was a scream echoing down the halls.

Lucien jumped slightly, startled. Was that really a scream? He couldn't quite tell because the sound was reverberating off the walls and it wasn't very clear where the source was. The screaming continued and it made Lucien grow weary and rather anxious. What if someone was in trouble? Deciding whether to go left, right, or straight ahead, Lucien whispered a small, "Oh screw it." In frustration before sprinting down the left hallway.

Fortunately, it was a wise choice. The scream became more louder and more articulate and Lucien came to the conclusion that indeed there was someone yelling in the dormitory. Without any further adieu, Lucien pinpointed to the precise door and halted to a stop in front of it.

He bangged on the door with his fist hollering, "Hey! Are you all right?" But it only had resulted in more yelping and Lucien had no other option but to barge into the room. And upon entering, his body went cold seeing a male student squirming and struggling to get free from a monster-looking thing. But his instincts quickly snapped Lucien out of his trance and he rushed to the student's aid, trying to shove the creature off of him. "Back off!" He growled lowly in attempt to separate the student and monster away from each other with his forearm and torso.

He heard someone come in. His eyes were sealed shut, in hopes that he was only dreaming. A man began to push his way at the monster. Maverick began to feel something in his hands. They started to glow white.



"εжзεжзεжзεжз!." The monster let out a screech, then quickly, it shattered into shards of black glass and all the pieces fell around the bed. Everyone around him faded into a white light. He felt a surge of energy through his body, but all at once, his body shut down and he lost all control of his consciousness.

Fredrick wobbled dangerously at the edge of the pool, his eyes distant and glazed. Then, with a shake of his head, he seemed to come to his senses. With a small grunt, he knelt at the eyes edge and launched himself into the water like a gigantic blonde torpedo. A few seconds later, his head popped out of the water. A few seconds after that, the tattered remnants of his pants did something similar, bobbing down and up a few feet away.

In the attempts to pry the creature of the male, Lucien's mind lost its focus when the man's hand began to glow very brightly in white. Then, a screech was emitted from the monster and Lucien had instinctively backed away, covering his ears to block out the noise and squeezing his eye shut to prevent himself form getting blinded by the light.

And in an instant, the shattering of glass was heard as the creature vanished like black shards all around the vicinity. "Hey!" Lucien called out, slowly putting his arms down once the scene started to tranquilize. "Are you okay?!" He said and went over to the now unconscious male, shaking his shoulders gently.

Joshua had a great time with Mallory the day before. He had showed her all the tricks he used to win the claw game. Josh had gotten her a few stuffed animals and a mp3 player. They almost got caught coming in late but he made sure that they didn't get spotted. When he woke up in the morning, he had to go off campus real fast to get his meal for the next few days. When he finished his hunting he got ready to go to the gym. From what he was told, swimming day was on the agenda. The thought of seeing the girl sin baithing suits created a smile on the vampire's face. He got to the gym then went to the locker room to change in his swiming trunks. There were only a few students out on the pool. Even a guy who was already in the pool with his trunks shredded and floating all over the pool. That was a little embarassing. He sat on the opposite side of the pool hoping that Petra or Mallory would come soon and talk to him for a little bit before class started.
