Agreed on everything, pretty much. Trash exchanges are horribly nelgected, and I would love to see more color options in just about everything. It's time they give us the long-awaited Garage Sale update, and add a LOT of recolors of older items, especially those released in the days when item sets were only given 3 colors.

YEs. More colours. I'm asking for a black&white Victorianna set since it came out. Same with all the other items. And it there is gold/silver lace, both should come with all colours.

You just made my top ten favorite threads list. Just a heads up,
there were a few typos in the 'most gold shop items classify as'
section.

As far as expanding your idea, there are two things I'd like to
suggjest.

On the minor side, would you consider adding wine to the
colors list? Its neither pink nor purple, and it clashes with
both colors. Wine is featured in the sugar plum and tavern
sets. The hat pose in the Wonderland EI is also in wine.
I personally love the color, and I use it frequently.
Unfortunately, there aren't very many items in this color, and
the few items that exist are top-oriented. This deters alot of
people from using it.

One thing that would really help improve the popularity,
quality, and versatility of the gold shops would be expanding
the basic staple wardrobe repertoire. For example, there is
a very limited selection of tights/leggings- plain, stripped, and
fishnets. There are a few petitions running right now, asking
for basic recolors. Other examples of staple items include
socks, studded belts, fingerless gloves, arm warmers,
leg warmers, suspenders, garter belts, tank tops, etc.

Gold RIG = amazing idea.
Overall though, I love the ideas you have listed and completely agree, Gaia is always looking for gold sinks when we have 'em right in front of their faces. More updates = more gold sink. It's that simple, so why not take that?
