Surprisingly enough, Friedrich didn't need Kohaku's call to arms to alert him to the presence of the shadow--the fact that it was a giant, unnatural abomination clued him into its presence quite effectively. Even he wasn't sure he could fight that thing hand to hand: For one thing, it was exponentially larger than he was, and for another its face seemed to constantly keep shifting in appearance and location. That made it a bit difficult to decide where to land a punch, to say the least. He wasn't even sure if any of his offensive moves would prove to be very useful. If the large blast of fire hadn't seemed to do much, his Persona's meager attacks would probably be little more than an annoyance.

But that didn't mean he was useless by a long run. Although their group was split up, he quickly identified a place in range of all of them and headed there immediately. He could at least provide backup, and ensure that their attacks did as much as possible. Summoning Siegfried once again, he started out with debuffing the enemy's attack, defense, and evasiveness, ensuring that everyone would do as much damage as possible, before moving on to individual buffing. It would take a while of course, so he had to prioritize based on damage output, starting with Kohaku for now. "Try hitting it now, everyone! You can thank me later!" He boasted before preparing his next set of buffs--Kuro next, then Noelle, then Hitoshi. It would just take time, and a good deal of his energy. He definitely was getting too old for this.

Hiro, on the other hand, quickly made his way towards the back lines, towards where the injured Noelle was. "Leave the healing to me, Hitoshi. You can actually fight." Not considering that Noelle might have wanted to be healed by someone important to her--sentimentality had no place on the battlefield--he took to attending to her right away, confirming that she was not gravely injured. None of her bones appeared to be broken either, so healing would be an easy matter. Calling forth Ishtar once more, he healed her fully, removing her pain as well as any shock she may have been feeling. "Be more careful next time. Do you think I like doing this or something?" He scowled, checking that she was okay one last time before scanning the battle, looking for anyone else who might need his assistance.

He didn't have long to wait either, as the shadow landed one good hit on Axle and sent him flying. "Honestly..." Hiro sighed as he ran over to where he landed, ducking behind companions and rubble alike to avoid detection from the shadow. He knew he'd have to focus on healing, so maintaining the ACE armor was out of the question; he'd just have to hope that he didn't get hit at all. "What the hell did you think you were doing? I said I wouldn't heal your kneecaps if you shattered them." What was with this guy and jumping off high places? Still, he wasn't hurt enough to justify using any of his skills on yet thanks to the ACE armor; he would just have to stand by and wait to see if he got any worse, which of course he hoped would't happen. He really didn't like having to heal people. He'd definitely rather that they just didn't get hurt at all and stayed safe in the first place.

"Do not get discouraged, everyone. Our attacks are working." Although it may have seemed as though their attacks weren't doing anything to the beast in front of them, Kohaku knew that they were connecting--in her experience, shadows reacted a bit differently when they were immune to different types of attacks entirely. Regardless, she knew it could easily get frustrating if it seemed as if their efforts were for naught; they would simply have to keep at it until its damage began to show. "Still, it must have incredible stamina... This will certainly be a difficult fight."

The shadow was taking damage, albeit slowly; its tendrils could easily parry physical attacks, and it could even change portions of its physiology to resist different types of elemental damage. Although it could only attack physically, it could easily change the type of attack to whatever suited it at the moment. Still, Kohaku knew that there must have been a weakness somewhere; nothing was so perfect that it was invincible, unless it was a god. And a god it was certainly not. As she watched its movements and attack patterns, she noticed something--it couldn't attack and defend at the same time. "Wait until it attacks, everyone! Our attacks will be most effective then... I believe it will be possible to overwhelm it then!" She called out to them, preparing to use Ragnarok one more time. It would take almost the rest of her power even with Friedrich's buff, but if she could time it out, she was sure that it would be especially effective...

Noelle felt a cool feeling wash over her body, and the rest of the feeling came back in to her body. She sat up, and the helmet portion of her ACE disappeared, but the rest of it remained. After shaking her head once, Noelle spat a little blood on to the ground, wondering if she had bit the inside of her jaw or something during her fall...she couldn't have told since all injuries were healed. "I demand a do-over." Noelle remarked, standing to her feet and dusting herself off. Noelle saw it was going to target her again eventually, so she took Kohaku's advice and decided to attack while it couldn't fight back. Before it did, she patted her backside multiple times and stuck out her tongue, goading the creature until it shot a sharpened tendril at her. Naturally, Noelle was agile enough to flip over it, so instead it found itself getting stuck in the ground as Noelle hit that specific limb with Bufudyne. As she ran towards its main body, she noticed it was putting its guard up. "Chikara!"

"You don't have to tell me twice." Chikara responded to Noelle as he converged on her position. Chikara used Vorpal Blade to get ahead of Noelle, slicing a path through empty air and caused a sharp sound to whistle through the air as if it was about to cause an explosion. Chikara mainly deflected the creature's tendrils until Noelle was close enough to attack, but when he was able to land a clean hit, he used that to tear the beast down. Debilitate!" Chikara felt a rush as the creature was both defensively and offensively weakened, as well as slowed. That was the point in which it was open. Chikara charged Aevitas up to its second sphere of power and spun the sword in a horizontal circle, blowing away the tendrils. "Shall we?" Chikara brought his sword to his waist as if he were drawing from the sheathe while Noelle leapt on to his shoulders and jumped over him. Chikara used Vorpal Blade to go from one side of the beast to the other while Noelle hit it with God Hand from above. Chikara watched the white haired girl spin through the air a couple of times, so he held out his arms to catch her, naturally. He, at least, gave her a pat on the head for a job well done after he set her down before they started to reorganize their position again. Chikara took to the right, while Noelle went left.

Amaya watched the battle carefully from the screen of her laptop, but was surprised when another presence entered the field. "A...shadow? No, it was a Persona, but..." Amaya was snapped out of her reverie by being asked if they had a new teammate, but Amaya was unsure of how to answer that. "There was an electrical pulse before that happened, like something, or multiple somethings, turned on. I don't know why that's the exact signal, but maybe...it was an artificially created Persona? I don't really know." Amaya set her laptop to the side, hearing Kohaku telling everyone when there was an opening. She scooted over to the pilot of the plane and drew his Evoker instead, causing him to remind her not to play around in a moving vehicle, and not to use that Evoker, but she really needed it. "S-s-sorry! I'll return it when I'm done!" Amaya remarked aiming the Evoker at her head...she felt memories of her previous adventure rushing back to her, and a cold feeling gripped her heart. If she did it, there was no turning back. Upon pulling the trigger of the Evoker, Amaya felt as if her entire body were constricted, and she contorted in pain, but...somehow she was able to summon Amatsumagatsuchi, and at long range too. What looked to be a hooded girl, draped in white appeared alongside her team. One leg was entirely covered in white, looking almost artificial, and while the Persona didn't remove its hood, it did show hints of having light blue hair. Upon raising its arms to its heart and holding them out, pillars of lightning appeared at all four corners of the beast, but considering there were no other enemies, they all homed in on the massive beast and struck. Maziodyne made its signature explosive cracking sound upon contact, and Amaya found herself collapsing on the spot...she hadn't exerted herself so hard for a long time. "Hahahah...I...I summoned it. Lucky me..." Amaya sounded exhausted, but she didn't let that show when she opened her laptop again. Instead, she dedicated all of her energy to making sure the battle proceeded smoothly again. "A-anyways...Axle, did you say you think this shadow is manmade? I...can't exactly confirm that, but I am getting skewed readings compared to other large shadows. This one is different, yes, but I don't know if it was manmade."

Hitoshi was right, Elysium had to focus on protecting the frontline fighters. Hitoshi was, apparently, right on the money when she said it was a physical type of shadow given that it only attacked using its tendrils or hands, or whatever it wanted to be. Elysium saw that it was difficult to pinpoint where this thing would show its ugly face...but not for Elysium. She could somewhat sense where it was going to show up next, so if they were going to hit it, they had to hit it there. Elysium found herself breathing a bit more heavily every time she used Tetrakarn for Chikara's sake, protecting him when he couldn't protect himself. She ran over to the group, making sure she was alongside them when she fought. "Okay, everyone. Try not to fall asleep on me." Elysium recited as her Persona, who greatly resembled the late King of Pop, was summoned to her. Elysium used Relaxing Wave to rejuvenate everyone so they would be able to fire off those powerful attacks again. "Did you notice there's a certain...pattern?" Elysium wondered if it was just her, but she felt like its shifting wasn't as chaotic as it looked. Maybe she just felt that way because of her Persona's scanning capabilities.

Honestly, he seemed so full... of something when he said that. She wasn't really the type of person to get mad at men like anymore but there was something about Alex that bugged her. She wouldn't let it bother her for much longer though and sighed when he tried to apologize. He did try to apologize, at the very least... Maybe Aly should play nice with him for now until this bad taste in her mouth went away. Hopefully, she wouldn't have spend all that much time with him. As Momo bega to talk, she felt her spirit lifting. Why, you ask? Well, it was quite simple! She spoke of Kohaku. While Kohaku probably wasn't anywhere near done yet on her mission, Aly would smother the girl with a million kisses as soon as she got back! Aly felt better now and that's why Momo must have interjected. Aly must have been an easier girl to read than she thought... She wondered why... Regardless, Aly didn't feel like smacking Alex in the mouth for what he said. Aly wasn't a pushover anymore, she could actually fight so if they got into brawling, Aly would most likely win. Well, that depends. Alex was in the military, and he was on a squad that may have been stronger than her own. Aly shrugged like it was no big deal right after Alex walked a bit further ahead, Momo leaned over to her and began to speak to her in a hushed tone. "You're telling me, Momoko." Aly whispered back to her friend, with a nervous smile on her face. "Make sure you ask me to handle your escort next time, okay? I don't know why but that guy kind of weirds me out..." She said this all in a hushed tone for fear of him hearing them. "I won't hurt him though. Except if he touches my baby. Then he's going down. Matter of fact, Kohaku might cut him up herself..." Aly giggled a little bit and gave Momo a smile and a wink.

"Speaking of Kohaku, I'm surprised they're not back yet. This mission shouldn't have been too hard for them, what do you think's taking them so long?" Aly was quite right in saying this because they were gone for at least 20 minutes now. This was a routine cleansing mission and while she feared for everybody's safety in general, Aly began to think of the bad things that may have been happening to them. Aly groaned and said, "It sucks that I can't be out there with them... Think you can keep a secret, Momoko?" Aly looked around twice, as if somebody was going to notice them talking or even care for that matter and said, "I am actually kind of... against Kohaku using her Persona. It puts her in so much danger and everytime she goes out on these missions, I feel so worried. Last time, sure, they saved the world and all from everything crashing down atop them, but at what cost? I had to fight my baby last time... I'm hoping something like that does not happen again. But you know... that whole thing was bad and it ruined a lot of people's lives... but... Without that happening, I would never met her. I feel very grateful for all I have right now." Aly quickly took out her cell phone and showed Momoko a picture of Kohaku and her on her phone. They were sitting near one another but the thing that made it really special was that they were holding hands and their faces were smooshed together. "Do you remember your first kiss with Axle, Momoko? Mine with Kohaku was... pretty awesome, I have to say. It was the best thing that ever happened to me. What about you? Your first kiss with Axle must have been fantastic, right? I bet it was super cute and everything! Tell me~" Aly almost whined that last part, wanting to know all of Momo's secrets now. She got her talking and now... she wasn't going to stop. Unless she was offended by mister stupid von sexist a** up there. Relax, Aly... It's really not that serious...

Considerations: I've never seen this before...
Companions: the old gang

According to the transmissions she heard from her implanted radio receiver, it seemed like the lessening of shadows in her area wasn't due to her efforts after all. Something considerable was happening and they were all being called to one location to deal with it. Once she rounded the corner into the main street where the conflict was occurring, her sensors did their job of proving what her eyes had trouble believing. A building-sized shadow exhibiting a host of unusual properties, and from the radio chatter she was hearing, the highest-calibre users she knew were having trouble with it.

Still, true to their nature, they were overcoming it. Scanners and leaders were doing their job picking out the weaknesses of the creature, and hearing it for herself, she recognized the dent in its armour too. She began walking, holding her sheath up with her right hand and drawing five swords out over her head. The sixth she popped out a moment later, and inspecting their edges briefly, she nodded to herself. She was several blocks from the action still, and the creature was far too distracted to notice her from here. All for the better, since this probably wouldn't work unless both of those conditions were present.

Carefully she watched as flashes of light and energy indicated where spells and blows were being struck. Some hit, some were blocked or ignored, and some contributed to the shadow's increased aggression. When, finally, it wound up for a large attack, Moira spotted her opening.

She leaped into the air, her motor revving as Briareus materialized just behind her. With the rules of shadows and personae apparently being changed since this outbreak began, she was fairly certain this would work out. Her persona grabbed her out of the air with one of its larger arms, and she used the palm of its hand as a springboard as it spun once, and with tremendous force launched her toward the target. She readied her blades as the distance between her and the target was closed in less than two seconds, and slammed into its body with such impact that a visible ripple spread all throughout it. Quickly following that were five great slash marks that traveled up the length of the creature, as though some beast had raked its claw along it. The shadow's rubbery, semisolid form bounced her off of it, but as she tumbled through the air, she noticed it was reeling back from the unexpected strike. She converted her voice to a radio signal, speaking as she continued to fall. "Chikara. Target is staggered; suggesting all-out attack."

She righted herself as she fell, legs and all six arms absorbing the landing enough to prevent damage. As she rose up, she noticed the person she had landed next to. Moira turned a little to look at him, a faint smile on her lips as she briefly offered a fist for a quick bump. "Kuro. It's nice to see you again."

"You're being a worrywart, Hiro." Axle assured him, hearing him complain about him a little bit too much. "I'm perfectly fine. I've been through much worse situations than this." He didn't want to divulge into those memories to prove himself but he was actually not all that worried about himself. Axle had become exceptional at knowing his strengths and abilities quite well over the years and he expected most of what was happening to actually happen. "I understand that you care. I'm not saying you shouldn't. But you telling me that I'm gonna burn myself out too fast isn't actually helping." Axle honestly didn't want to say it but he did want to tell Hiro to be quiet. His constant botherings with him were actually kind of annoying, and although Axle didn't say it, he definitely implied it. Axle walked forward a bit, seeing everybody beginning to wear it down after he attacked it. He was impressed that they were finally beginning to do that but the whole situation seemed to be taking a bit too long. Amaya not really knowing what that other thing was didn't really help either. He was astonished at that, to be honest. Amaya usually knew about everything but he supposed that even their genius could get stumped sometimes. Axle scratched his hair, not wanting to attack like he did before. He'd have to wait for the moment since it was pretty dumb to attack like he did. He guessed he sort of adopted his brother's reckless behavior.

Oh well, he didn't really care about himself, to be honest. That's when Axle raised an eyebrow at something that happened. Before he was able to attack again, there were pillars of lightning that came down from the sky and converged in on the creature. They disappeared as quickly as they had come, Axle having to move back from the explosive impact they created. Axle knew there was a lot going down on right now but... who was that? He soon heard Amaya's voice after that, as she sounded the tiniest bit exhausted. "Y-yeah..." Axle wondered if that was Amaya... Hm, he couldn't really tell. "It's movements are erratic but they seem like it was ordered to do that. A shadow wouldn't really know how to withstand all of our attacks without some type of prior knowledge. Don't you think?" Axle was kind of just speaking in an effort to get some of his thoughts together. It was almost like their shadow selves. But this shadow didn't take on the form of any of them so... it's fortitude and strength must have been self-made. "It's just a theory, anyway. Better yet, Amaya are you--"

"Amaya!" Kuro shouted, interjecting in what Axle was about to ask. He was very serious now, a touch of anger in his voice. "That was you, wasn't it?!" Kuro asked, about to scold the young girl. "I understand your enthusiasm but you could have been hurt! This could effect your entire body from this point on and we need our spunky helper. Please don't do that ever again unless absolutely necessary. Okay?" Kuro hadn't really meant to shout at Amaya but his care for his teammates overwhelmed his rational judgement. He was actually kind of annoyed that Amaya had some sort of access to an Evoker. He needed to make sure they took away all the Evokers from the pilot of the plane and everybody else so that couldn't happen again. "Anyway, Axle as for what you were saying... It actually makes a lot of sense... We'll have to talk to Abaddon about this when we get the chance." Kuro was a bit unsettled by this shadow in general, wondering if somebody within the government would have had access to something like that. That wouldn't even make sense... After all, didn't Abaddon mention something about his son being troubled by the shadows at some point? He would have taken care of all scientists who had voiced to making shadows or even studying them. Either way, Kuro simply assumed that Abaddon's son had died a long time ago. He was sure that wasn't the case since that man seemed very secretive about his personal life as well as personal files on what he did before he created this whole thing. Kuro was in this for the long haul so... he wondered if they should orchestrate some sort of secret operation soon. Just as he was thinking on this, somebody came into the operation to help them out. Kuro watched their movements, his eyes widening as a large ripple tore through the shadow. The ripple was enough to actually damage the creature visibly, five slashes tearing through its shadowy flesh. "Holy crap. Who was--" Before he could finish his sentence, the powerful warrior landed next to him. Kuro grew a large smile across his face, raising his fist almost the same time she did, bumping it like they did in the past. "Welcome to the fight, Moira. It looks you haven't lost that touch of yours. It looks like you may have gotten even stronger." But now was not the time to hold back or have friendly conversations. They had to take advantage of this entire situation, Axle already beginning to charge towards the creature, his spear in tow.

Axle quickly covered himself in his ACE wear, throwing his spear into the air above the staggering shadow. He quickly summoned his Persona's power to the spear, the spear beginning to spin in a very violent way, several large green gusts of wind surrounding the shadow. They struck the creature in several different ways, cutting it up even more than Moira had done before. Its body was trying to reform to how it was before, but Kuro wouldn't let that happen. Kuro activated his ACE wear, wondering if he could pull out even more power for what he needed to do. Kuro's armor suddenly changed to a dark gold, as an electric surge started to cover his entire body. Launching himself down at the shadow, his elbow slammed into the shadow, staying there for a second. "Thunder Reign!" Kuro's entire body flashed a violent yellow, as a gigantic bolt of electricity came flying down from the clouds, striking the shadow as hard as Kuro could manage. The lightning bolt did not disappear immediately, however, and as Kuro pushed more into the shadow's flesh, his ACE wear helping him cut through it. He was able to tear off of a piece of its body, as he slid through the dirt after causing that much damage. Smoke covered its entire body after their two attacks, Kuro becoming more and more impressed with Axle's power. Kuro needed to be careful with that attack though since he felt visibly worn out by it. He breathed, trying to catch his breath from that.

"Don't say I didn't warn you..." Hiro muttered to himself as Axle left, rolling his eyes at his attitude. He didn't think he was being unreasonable; there was only so much the human body could handle, and jumping off of buildings and out of planes that often in one day was not something it normally had to contend with. He was worried about the condition of all of their bodies, to be honest; not only were they fighting in fairly stressful situations, but they were constantly exposed to the medical unknowns that were shadows and Personae. Although there had been no significant immediate changes in his own condition since he'd started monitoring it, he couldn't speak for those with different Personae than his--or for the long-term effects of dealing with such things.

But all he could do now was keep an eye on the situation and do what he could to prevent immediate lasting harm. They seemed to have figured out its attack and defense patterns fortunately enough, and Moira--again with the dramatic entrances, but he was admittedly less worried about a robot than an organic body--declared that the timing was optimal for an all-out attack. There was nothing he could do in this situation but wait for it to be over. Ishtar wasn't an offense-style Persona and he wasn't armed; it wasn't like he was about to run up and punch the thing.

However, that didn't mean that everyone shared his views. After using nearly the last of his power to buff their heaviest hitters, Friedrich had drawn his gun and was shooting at the large shadow--more to distract it and draw attention than anything else, leaving it defenseless to those who could deal more damage than he could. Dodging most of its attacks and shrugging off the blows that did land, he managed to occupy a good deal of its attention before Moira managed to ground it and suggest an all-out attack. Reloading his gun, he made his way to slightly higher ground, moving as quickly as he possibly could--thankfully in this sort of situation, his reflexes were as good as they were in the past.

Once he felt as though he had moved high enough--he didn't really have time to waste--he jumped downward onto the shadow, using the force of his momentum and gravity to drive his fist into the creature. He used the last of his power to manifest his ACE armor at the last second, ensuring a harder hit before it deactivated--surely if Hiro was watching (and he was), he would be thinking about what a moron he was and how much strain that would be on someone of his age, regardless of his physique (and he definitely was). Still, it had been an effective blow, and Friedrich righted himself, standing on the shadow and pointing his gun towards it, emptying the cartridge before retreating. Just for good measure.

Kohaku watched each of her team mates deal blows to the shadow in quick succession, each one mercifully connecting and dealing its full potential's worth of damage. The shadow seemed to be showing it as well; it had not once gotten up since Moira had knocked it down, and although it was still alive, it was clearly on its last legs. Waiting until everyone was out of its range--and not a second later--Kohaku placed her evoker to her forehead once more. "Vaisravana! Ragnarok!" The shadow exploded into flames again, but the effect was quite different this time; thanks to the efforts of her companions, it finally melted away in the fire, reduced to a slowly disintegrating puddle by the time the flames were extinguished.

If this had been AASET--her group--she would have commended them all on their teamwork and told them it was time to go home. It was something she always tried to do whenever it was earned; as tough as she was, she did believe in positive encouragement. Punishments had their place, but trying to nurture behavior was equally important. However, Chikara was the leader this time around, so it was up to him how to address their success. After the dust had settled and she confirmed that there were no more enemies, she approached her childhood friend, sheathing her sword as she made her way over the rubble. "I am happy to report that all the shadows have been eliminated, Chikara."

Noelle stared at the creature after they gave it a good beat down, waving as it finally disintegrated. Noelle's ACE vanished, leaving her with a lighter feeling all over her body. "Hahah! We did it!" Noelle jumped up and down, showing her pride in their victory as she ran over to Hitoshi, wrapping her arms around her wife in a massive hug. "Because we're the best team ever, isn't that right~?" Noelle remarked more quietly upon pressing her lips to Hitoshi's. She hadn't had such a difficult workout in forever, and while everybody was relatively unscathed, she was happy for their success. If she had tried to take this alone like she had been planning upon noting that Elysium was in danger, she wouldn't have been able to do it. She turned her gaze to the rest of K.S.U and laughed softly, readjusting her scarf when she noted each and every one of their faces. "You're all as powerful as ever. I'm actually really surprised that thing took so many hits from us!" Noelle didn't understand the gravity of what she said, but it was important to note that they did not beat the large shadow like they did to other shadows, but rather, it was as if they were back in their weaker days at AASET.

Chikara's shadow form melted away and revealed his human body after they had defeated the creature. He covered the shadow portion of his face and shook his head, feeling as though he had been pushing himself to fight the creature, but victory was theirs. Chikara sheathed his blade and spoke with enough volume for everyone to hear him, the authority and power in his voice indicative of his position. "Well done, everyone. The mission was accomplished, and thanks to you we've defeated an unknown enemy as well as prevented substantial civilian casualties. Thank you for lending me your powers thus far, everyone." Chikara crossed one arm underneath his ribs and bowed to them all, a brief smile passing from his face. "You all kicked serious a** today. Let's be sure to keep this up." Chikara noted Kohaku approaching him and rubbed the back of his head, a sheepish smile painting itself on his normally stoic face. After she gave her analysis, Chikara nodded once. "I believe you deserve special commendation, Mrs. Mizushima. We've come a long way since the days where you had to protect me however. But...thank you for coming to my aid again, Kohaku. I don't know how we would've fared without your support." Chikara kept his speech professional, but his tone was noticeably softer as he spoke with his childhood friend. The days when she protected him were very clear in his mind, and he couldn't thank her more than enough for those memories, even if he tried. Eventually, he extended his hand to her, that smile brightening almost uncharacteristically for the somber man. "High five!" He remarked, wondering if that would catch her off guard.

Amaya physically flinched when Kuro called her out on summoning a Persona, and while she couldn't deny that she had done it, she didn't respond until prompted for an answer. "I...I a-a-apologize...I th-thought I was helping..." There was no doubt that she had helped, but it was far more dangerous for her to do that to herself than it was for anybody else. While they fought, Amaya focused on finding the source of the other Persona, and noticed that at the point it was summoned, an energy spike came from every single position of the members of K.S.U, and from the helicopter. She'd tell them about it very soon since they landed immediately after the battle. Amaya was off soon, using her crutches to get over to the concert hall and passing through the doors with a relieved expression. "Erm...I probably missed saying this already, but...congratulations and welcome back, everyone!" Amaya remarked through her exhaustion, putting all of the enthusiasm she had in to greeting the team after their victory. It was, undoubtedly, difficult on her to be on the field like she was after using a Persona, and looking at her, it wasn't that difficult to see why. She wasn't even wearing combat clothes, as she just showed up in a tan sweater and skirt, accented by black leggings and braces on her legs to stabilize them. She was naturally pale, but looked even paler after using Maziodyne for the first time in years, but she looked utterly happy. A blue beret, with an even lighter blue ribbon tied around it was worn lower on her head since she rushed out to greet everyone as soon as she was sure it was over. "I...I'm so glad you're all okay!" Amaya exclaimed, unable to hide her jubilation at all.

Elysium shook her head upon seeing the thing collapse, but instead of giving everybody a broad congratulations, she immediately ran over to Kuro, and like Noelle, she threw her arms around him, almost sounding as if she were going to sob. "I can't believe you all came right when I needed you. That's...so clichéd. B-but...you all saved my life. I was almost..." Elysium was not a fighter, she was meant for a singular role, and if they hadn't detected the nest forming in the city, she wouldn't have survived. Elysium started trembling, burying her face in to Kuro's shirt. "Y-you actually came..." It was less surprise that they had saved her life at all, but that Kuro and everyone else was there at all. She hardly ever saw them since her job kept her going everywhere, and everyone had to focus their attention on the shadows. They hardly ever had a peaceful moment, and even though this wasn't exactly it, it was close enough for her. After a moment, Elysium looked up at Kuro with an almost surprised look on her face. "Wait...I'm sorry to ask you for another favor after you used up all your energy for this, but...uhm...the person who kept me safe before you arrived...is under there. I can sense that he's alive, but I can't move all of that rubble alone. Can you lend me your arms, Bro?" "Bro" being the most endearing term Elysium had ever used for anybody, and it was reserved for just Kuro, who she considered the closest thing she had to family in the world. She couldn't believe that she almost forgot that the person who was helping her was buried...that was embarrassing.

☤Hitoshi Hanketsu☤

The war was won, wondrous it was
Peace ensued, ignorance restored
Fate moved on, red lines twining
Sleep returned, lessons learnt.
Over it was not, as fate took a turn
For the better or the worse, evil returned.
Judgment preserved, my path anew
I tread upon bloodbath still.

And all of a sudden it was over. Moira had called for a sudden all-out attack, and Hitoshi had obeyed, loading the final bullets of her machine gun and firing away. When it was all done, her machine gun retracted and was replaced with her mechanical hand. Hitoshi smiled in relief, knowing it was finally over.

Her ACE suit retracted back to her chair, and she wheeled over to Noelle to check for any injuries. When Noelle grabbed her in a large hug, Hitoshi smiled lovingly at her wife. Nodding, she accepted to kiss and wrapped her arms around Noelle, laughing dizzily, as she always did when they kissed.

With Noelle's remark, Hitoshi sighed. "I don't know. Maybe, ever since that day, the Shadows may have been getting stronger, stronger than any of us. Even after so many years, they still come. I don't think we regressed, but more of they have some sort of increase in power. Manufactured... that could be likely. If we humans with Personas were meant to destroy Shadows, then why are they growing stronger? If it's possible for them, then it's possible for us." Hitoshi was concerned. If they could grow stronger, then it would be alright, but.... she hated to think of the opposite.

"Oh, and hey, Amaya. Just between you and me, mind if you try not to exert yourself too much? To be honest, I would miss you, and well, frankly, I'm not sure if Noelle can take another death. Say what, if you got anything on your mind, come talk to me? And we can do it, just believe in us. None of us will let you down." she reassured the young girl, a hint of concern in her voice. She really did not want anyone else to die, and Noelle.... after that incident, Hitoshi had vowed to never let another friend of Noelle's die.

Now that that was over, she leaned back on her wheelchair. "Glad to see everyone still breathing and alright again. Can't say I was expecting bodies that I recognize, but with the military these days...." she sighed, glad they did not reach Mamoru. He was safely tucked away in who knows where.

              I stand before this massacre
My weapons drawn, my eyes ahead
Deep down I have always known
This was eternity, my curse to carry
Care I not of my destiny
Chosen and carried out, without hesitancy
Love and hate, a clash of fury
Forever and now, I will stand
My people, my family, I will do my best
Raising my hand and letting it fall
The echoes of my Judgment ringing on.

Entering your world
I hold but one question
"Do you dare to fight"
"Against Evil's Mind"
The words leave my lips as you nod
Understanding you, I reach out
But turn away you did, towards the others you hold dear
Leaving me behind, not knowing I suffer
But tears could not stop, as I stoop to the shadows
A friend I was not, though I long to be
Your hand I could not hold, for I was never meant to be
Fool you were, to believe such a thing
Tool I was never going to be
You hold no power over me
I strike out, seeking my own path
Fulfilling my duty
With my own hands and deeds

It was over. Finally. Irritated, the Persona disappeared, and the data flew back into the nearby computer. With that Plume of Dusk installed into its mind, it was free to go anyway as long as there was technology. Heck, it could use the satellite to move too. Space as well.

It floated around, before sighing. The A.I frowned as it accessed the satellite. Seems like someone decided to overexert themselves. It snorted, but didn't say anything. It was dangerous! It would have to watch out for her. It hissed when every one had calmed down. Well then. It was getting impatient. If all they were doing was lollygagging so that the military did not find them, they were doing a poor job!

But there was someone else trapped, it seems. It bit its fingers, and tapped on the screen of the satellite. A mass message was sent to the entire group of K.S.U. It read:

[Return to the base when you are done.]

The message was sent by a unknown, glitched number. Each time the number was called, the phone would stop the call immediately, and the number of the sender would change. It clicked its fingers in satisfaction and set back. Now.... to wait.

              Fool I was to think
That humans could help me see my dream
              Help them I must
Coding demands, and my instincts I trust
As I stay under the monitor
              Guiding humans towards the monster
I know they will prevail, they always do
As I hold my heart and revive
I had long to see mankind survive
              But when they do
Fear tells me they may destroy me too.

Time to break the chain
No pain, don't be afraid

Kuro's ACE wear disappeared from his body, as he clearly looked exhausted from what he did. He didn't really mind expending his energy from his body for the sake of his friends but damn, he kind of overdid it with Thunder Reign. It was the first time he had used it in battle after all, so he expected some side effects. Kuro sighed when Kohaku announced to Chikara that all the shadows were defeated. Kuro could finally rest for a few seconds. He wondered what this world would have been like without Persona... A world without Persona... it must have been... a little bit of happy and a little bit of sad. Persona was such a great gift but it came with so many obligations and challenges. It was sort of a curse and blessing at the same time. Kuro hoped that his child, if he was to have one with Mikan, would not have these abilities. He wondered if both parents having them would actual heighten their abilities and have them arise in their children earlier? Kuro was thinking too much. He didn't need to think of things like this. Not right now. Not after such a happy occurrence. Kuro decided to listen to the compliments coming from Noelle, Chikara, and Amaya. It seemed as though he hadn't scared Amaya too much, which was good. He kind of figured she'd bounce back quickly though so he was actually wasn't all that worried. Kuro threw up two fingers to their leader now,, happy that he wasn't the leader. He knew Kohaku would probably get on him for losing so much energy so quickly but as a member, that was totally cool. There were many times when he was actually pretty exhausted as a leader in AASET but most of the time, he played it off like he wasn't. Kuro's much tougher than he looks after all.

Just as Kuro thought he would get a bit of peace, he closed his eyes and felt on regaining some of his skill power. He didn't have any sort of passive to help in that regard but he figured just cooling down for a second would help him... That's when he was suddenly wrapped in a hug, almost making him fall over. Kuro wrapped his arm around the only person that would do that besides his fiancee. His (pretty much) adoptive sister, Ely. She had a much longer name than that but like Kuro, he normally shortened it to that. Kuro patted her on the back, and while he was glad to see her, he felt a little bad not being able to hug her back as joyfully as he felt upon seeing her. "No problem, Ely. You know we'll always be there when you need us." While Kuro mainly said that to comfort her, he was relatively serious. He and Ely had established quite a close relationship, something he couldn't experience when he was with Mikan. She sounded like she was about to cry but her words were much happier than that. "As usual, I'm happy that we could help somebody out. It actually means even more to me than it was somebody I cared about." Kuro chuckled sheepishly, as he stood up and looked down at Ely. She had certainly matured since he had last seen her, which was awesome. Kuro listened to what Ely had to say, smirking at her. He didn't want to disappoint her, so he nodded and waited for her to direct him in the direction of this person. "Sure, little sis!" Feeling bad that he hadn't asked how she was doing yet, he figured that would be the next thing he addressed. "...By the way, how have you been? It's truly been awhile since I last you. Mikan and I were actually just talking about you a little while ago when you sent me a letter about you performing in Chicago. Pretty funny how fate brought us together again."

I am Moirarchos
Damage: light
Power: high
Orgia: inactive
Considerations: This is interesting...
Companions: the old gang

Moira knew what Kuro meant, and was glad that he regarded her in such a human way, but it seemed right to make her reply a little smug. "Did you expect me to delete my combat data? Only a human brain is so lazy."

Everyone's display of power was impressive as the great shadow was pummeled into nothingness. Even Hitoshi, the one Moira expected to get back into fighting the least, had found workarounds to her disabilities and fought as well as the rest of them. She may as well have been an ASW for her determination to kill shadows, or perhaps it was just the mechanical arm making her think that way. Once the dust had settled, everyone began saying their hellos, hugging one another and even... kissing? Oh, it seemed that Noelle and Hitoshi were still together. During such a deadly time, Moira wasn't sure if that was for the best or not. She honestly wasn't sure who to approach... She had kept a distance from the group since the incident, and some of her closer companions didn't seem to be here. Still, it was a happy time. She adjusted each of her emotions to 100%, and a genuine smile came across. She really had missed them all...

A message? Moira accessed it and read it out. Apparently they were returning to the base. Expecting the military to wait for them to chum it up was probably asking too much, after all. She was about to inform the others, but she heard a radio message coming in; a voice and the sound of loud rotors. She could tell it was coming from a distant but visible helicopter, two miles away or so.

"And once again, the day is saved! The windy city continues to blow thanks to our brave party of young - and somewhat less young - heroes! Please prepare yourselves for extraction, debriefing and a day of victory cake and merrymaking!"

Moira doubted that the cake was going to happen. She was also fairly certain that the earlier message didn't come from the pilot. It seemed like the KSU's day wasn't over yet.

To be completely honest, she hadn't given a 'high five' once in her life, and if it hadn't been for her interactions with people at school, she wouldn't have even known what one was. Still, she suppose that it wouldn't have done any harm... "Like this?" With a wry smile she raised her hand, waiting for what would come. It was sure to be interesting to say the least.

Now that Chikara had said his bit, Kohaku was free to congratulate the team as she saw fit. "Good job, everyone. I am glad to see that we have succeeded with minimal cost, thanks to everyone's hard work." It would have been impossible for any of them to succeed alone after all, even if that large, almost unnatural shadow hadn't come along. They were a well-oiled machine by this point, and all highly skilled, but just like every machine it was only as good as the sum of its parts. And a sign of an effective machine was that it was still capable of producing the same results, regardless of who used it. "I am glad to see that you are excelling as a leader as well, Chikara. But I suppose that is only to be expected." She gave him a rare smile before addressing the group as a whole once again.

"Shall we be going, then? I believe there are some people back home who are more than anxious for us to return." She was speaking of course not only of the higher ups who clearly wanted them to return, but their families as well. Turning towards the plane that was to take them back, Kohaku wasted no time in boarding and taking her seat, waiting for the others to follow.

Elysium rubbed her eyes and nodded once when Kuro agreed to help her. She walked her way through different piles of rubble, searching each one for that pulse of life she sensed earlier. She was sure that the person who had been helping her before hadn't died. She noted his position and pointed at the pile of rubble. "Under there." Elysium could kind of tell, not because of her ability to sense him, but because she saw a broken pair of headphones nearby as well. She set to work on digging the person out, using Kuro's help to free the stranger. She had never asked him to do what he did, or to stay behind for her, or whatever, but he wasn't frightened even when the nest had formed. He was an enigma, she believed, and even though he was under her employ, she knew so very little about him. She couldn't understand his mentality at all, for one, given that a sane person would've run away as soon as these supposedly indestructible monsters appeared.

She heard Kuro question her on how she had been since they last parted ways, and shrugged apathetically in answering. "I've been fine. Better than I was years ago, definitely. I think with your new job you kind of know how it is to never have a moment's rest or a peaceful time to yourself. As much as I focus on keeping my career and outlook positive, it never really stays that way. Unlike all of you who are fighting for your lives, the worst enemy I've been fighting is the media..." Elysium's voice was steady and monochromatic in tone until she spoke about fighting. She wanted to help them, but she had chosen her path and they had chosen their paths. A tiny smile crossed her stoic face when she thought on more positive things, rather than her inabilities. "I've played the damsel in distress for long enough, but here we are again repeating the past...with a few new additions. Specifically, how everybody has grown. How's Mikan? I hope you keep making her happy, otherwise I'll kick your tail."

Elysium didn't sound to threatening, but she was all to happy to chat with Kuro after so long of not seeing him in person. "Huh...? Ms. Elysium? You...didn't run?" A confused voice spoke from beneath the wreck, and while Elysium couldn't see a body, she could definitely tell he was under there. "If you were expecting overtime for sacrificing yourself, or something, think again. In fact, I think you owe me for the headphones you broke." A laugh full of equal cheer and relief echoed from underneath the pile. "Background dancers make overtime?" The voice joked, referencing how everybody's hours were so set in stone that their schedule was posted on a single sheet of paper and displayed for all of them at the same time. Elysium shook her head, taking off her ruined gloves. "Let's try not to shift the subject from you being risky. You can't get eaten until your contract is expired."

Elysium wiped her brow and shook her head, a bit exhausted from the use of all of the reflect skills. She gestured to the rubble, an unenthusiastic look on her face, although that was very common for her. "This sad sack who had himself buried is one of my background dancers and vocalists, Rhys Amado. He's almost exactly the same as us six years ago." Elysium didn't have any fanfare prepared, but it wasn't like Rhys needed any. "Err...hello? You're the guys that came to rescue Ms. Elysium, right? I saw most of your fight! Your Personas were really cool! I'd like to see them up-close some time! I'd also like to be able to move, but that's really a moot point." Elysium shook her head, after having cleared the rubble with Kuro's help, she pulled a boy with white hair from the rubble. He looked a lot like Noelle...almost disturbingly like Noelle, even down to the feminine features. Elysium rubbed the back of her head, sighing once. "I sensed it the moment he signed up with me. He's definitely able to use a Persona, but his power is...raw. He actually knows a lot about them. More than he really should." Evangeline shot Rhys a scolding gaze, and he shook his head in response. The silent exchange obviously held a lot of value given that Rhys dropped his bright and child-like smile in exchange for a straighter-faced look.

Well, this was definitely a welcome turn of events from the norm. Axle was finally gonna be able to go home to see Momo again. He eargerly picked up his spear and swung it over his shoulder in its sling, and holstered his Evoker. Looking around one last time to make sure everything was cool, he raised an eyebrow as he heard something that bleeped in his ear. "Huh?" There was somebody that sent a message to them to return to base. Axle expected as much but it was the voice that he heard that kind of caught him off guard. The fact of the matter was something was telling them to go back to the base. Unfortunately for them, they had return to the base of all places. Oh well, at least his wife was there. Axle listened to everything that Kohaku had to say, and walked into the helicopter to sit next to Kohaku. He was impressed with everybody's hard work as well. The helicopter that he had just entered had someone he recognized with green hair as the pilot. "Thanks for coming to get us, dude." Axle figured that a thank you to people that actually deserved were was the best thing. He sat back in his seat and relaxed a little bit, waiting for everybody else to get on.

Kuro looked to where Ely was pointing and nodded to her. He figured the whole situation would have gone much smoother if Kuro didn't complain about tired he actually was. Not like things were gonna be any easier for them if he did or didn't, he just figured this situation here would be much easier without complaining. Kuro knelt down and used whatever strength he had left to push up the rubble up and out of this person's way. He managed to listen to everything Ely was saying and while she spoke in the same way, Kuro could definitely she grew into a wonderful young lady. "Hell, I've heard fighting the media is just as hard as fighting shadows sometimes. They're just as merciless and malicious too. They'd do anything for a good scoop." While Kuro hadn't ever really come into contact with the media itself, he definitely heard of their dastardly ways. More or less, he had to say that to make Ely feel special since she was doing her best wherever she was. Regardless of the situation, Ely was important, not only to him but to the people of the world. "Mikan's fine, Ely! Our love has only grown stronger and we're thinking about calling a date to a wedding. That was... awhile ago though. Honestly, the whole situation with the shadows and the Apathy Syndrome has put most of the situations on hold. This is our priority at the moment. I still love just as much as I ever have. If anything, she's... gotten cuter." Kuro looked away from Ely for a moment, thinking about all the adorable things Mikan has done around him, finding himself blushing just the tiniest bit.

He cleared his throat and closed his eyes, regaining his composure. "A-anyway, nice to meet you, Rhys. I'm Aboiye Nomusa, but you can call me, Kuro." Honestly, when Kuro first saw Rhys, his gender was definitely in a gray area. The more the guy spoke, however, the more he understood that he was a guy. Kuro started to reach out for a handshake but stopped himself when he heard Ely talk about him having a Persona. "Almost?" Kuro didn't like that word. When the word 'almost' was brought up, Kuro found himself having doubts. He hated having doubts and troubles. He listened to what Ely said and realized what she meant by almost. "I am impressed on two accounts, Ely. For one thing, how did you manage to find somebody and keep them out of the watchful eye of the government? I really thought the government had found everybody around and forced them to work for them... I guess that can't be said for the Shadow Operatives or that... other group we met some time ago." Kuro had met a group of Persona users that still do things around the world concerning shadow and Personae in general. He had heard from them recently that they had managed to stay out of the watchful eye of the government and were doing their best to destroy shadows. They were relatively unknown at this point, however, and not even the Kirijo Group could help them out. Getting out that kick for a moment, Kuro turned back to Rhys and said, "Oh and the second thing that surprises me how raw your Persona is. That's another thing that would have been established if you were a part of the military though. Other than us... If you were a part of the K.S.U, you'd be able to see them all the time. But I want you to keep an eye on my little sister here. She knows how to get herself into trouble when she wants to." That's when Kuro heard somebody call them back to base. A voice he hadn't really heard but did recognize brought down a helicopter for them and it was time to shove off once more. "Alright, Ely. I gotta bounce. Make sure you write as much as you can, okay? Abaddon will have my head if I don't hurry my a** up. Be good." Kuro gave Ely a big hug and kiss on her forehead, saluting Rhys at the same time. He rushed over to the helicopter that touched down for them, taking a seat somewhere on the floor. He sighed, finally being able to relax. Closing his eyes, he chilled out for just a few moments. He wanted to feel at least a little better when he went to see Mikan again...

The war was won, wondrous it was
Peace ensued, ignorance restored
Fate moved on, red lines twining
Sleep returned, lessons learnt.
Over it was not, as fate took a turn
For the better or the worse, evil returned.
Judgment preserved, my path anew
I tread upon bloodbath still.

The plane to return them to the base had arrived. Whew. Kuro and Elysium seemed to have retrieved someone, someone that looked similar to her wife. Blinking, she tugged on Noelle. "Noelle, are you related to that girl? You two look really similar." Hitoshi peered at the girl (?), before shaking her head.

Twisting her joystick, she made her way to the plane, as her phone beeped. Picking it up, she frowned at the number, before typing a quick message to the Chicago police. Her report will have to come in later. She clicked her phone shut and pressed a button on her wheelchair, changing it to hover into the plane and settling on the area reserved for wheelchairs. Locking her wheelchair, Hitoshi leaned back.

How long has it been since the last attack? She had no idea, but something told her that there was going to be a major event soon. Pressing her lips together, she clasped her hands together. Well, there was nothing to do now... Pressing a button on her arm, a mini computer came up, and Hitoshi began to type furiously away.

              I stand before this massacre
My weapons drawn, my eyes ahead
Deep down I have always known
This was eternity, my curse to carry
Care I not of my destiny
Chosen and carried out, without hesitancy
Love and hate, a clash of fury
Forever and now, I will stand
My people, my family, I will do my best
Raising my hand and letting it fall
The echoes of my Judgment ringing on.
