Let's try this again. Acoustic metal songs or artists that use classical (or classical sounding) guitars. Possibly death metal like.

Check out the ending of Deaths "Perrinal Quest" that has a nice little acoustic outro, oh and check out Wretched's "The Exodus of Anotomy", that is a bad a** acoustic/electric instrumental.

As far as bands that use alot of acoustics, I'm afraid I don't know of any.

I like Opeth and Gojira, but it seems like any other prog bands with harsh vocals don't have much dynamics with their vocals. I tried Between the Buried and Me but they didn't work out. There were a few others but I can't remember the names. Any suggestions on other bands like those two?

Try Electric Wizard, which is a Doom metal band influenced by Black Sabbath, etc.
Their third album is super heavy and dark.
Probably the heaviest metal album ever.
