I dunno if romantic is the right word but that is kinda the vibe I get from it and I'm hoping anyone who can help me will know what I mean.

Looking for a band or bands similar to Gojira, but without harsh vocals. Or anything with awesome lyrics, awesome guitar work (but not strictly technical melodic s**t) but clean vox

I'm a very long-time lover of Blind Guardian myself.

I'd suggest Theocracy. They are a melodic white power metal band.

Also in case you didn't know, there is Demon&Wizards which has two CDs. Hansi from Blind Guardian does the vocal work, and the lead guitarist for Iced Earth (sadly don't have his name in my head) of course does guitar.
