science is limited by empirical matters, this is where the unlimited branches of superior logic come in. you have ethics, metaphysics and epistemology. but you seem to be pointing at nothing saying well we dont know so it must be god. that is self defeating, if you dont know, then how can you know it is god? to say there is something beyond or limitation will always be a self defeating argument that makes no sense. it goes like this

we are limited beings
we cannot know everything
there must be a god that knows everything
since god knows everything and we dont we cant understand god
we can understand god knows things we dont

it is you know things about the god or you dont, speculation is only valid if you have logical reasoning. just saying well there is rules, is an observation any person makes but offers no single logical answer of why the would come about, other then god felt like it, which brings us back to the whims thing, the rules i think that are good are no better then gods, but god forces his vision of good upon us. besides if god knows everything.. wasn't there something to know before god existed? or is all of god's knowledge just his personal feelings, which is honestly no more knowledge then anyone of us holds

It says in the bible. XD through the bible, we can know who really God is. He is the beginning of everything. from Him comes everything.
lmao, that is the line that proves the bible to be an irrational load of garbage!

we also know very well that the bible did not come directly from god and was many different books by many different people and a group of people deiced what books would make the final collection that is the bible. obviously it was work of primitive man that did not think lines like this though enough and thought the scape goat of "well god told us so it is ok for us to know" would work when we know it cannot. unless you want to say god threw the book at someones head and said this is what i am willing to tell you, which we know didnt happen, this alone proves the bible's irrationality

it appears the bible's main pillars are made of sand

ofcourse the bible should be made by man for all of us to understand. because if it was given other than in human forms there is no way for us to understand what God wants us to know.
and thus we get to the core, well i cant understand god, but you are understanding you cant understand some how. self defeating

XD to the last words. XDD that's why you should read the bible to understand Him. and as a growing christian, that's what i continually do.

we cannot fully understand God. in the sense that if we know everything about God then He will not be a God anymore. and we will be greater than God. but we can not enclose the fullness of God in the limitation of our mortal mind.

Actually a question of one's beginning is a manifestation of man's mortality.
it's natural to question these things because we are finite beings. but this is an unending question that could not be answered EXCEPT by God alone.

example. if you say that before God there is something, then you will keep on asking what comes before that something. the question of beginning is a never ending question that only God can answer. except God, you will never be satisfied at all. but have God in your life and you will have peace and contentment in life. XD

you dont need to know the fullness of God. that is impossible. all we need to know is that God loves us. and wants to save us from all unrighteous act. because unrighteousness brings destruction.

Lmfao, right... You don't even know my age or gender properly so how can anyone consider you a credible source babe. Someone's insecure. wink

You're just a little girl pretending to be a boy.

Dapper Phantom

So much lol.
I love how insecure and upset my transsexuality makes you, that you have to pretend it isn't real.
You keep telling yourself those stories, kid.

The sentiment that God cannot be understood is an empty one. God, by the way God relates to humans, WANTS God's nature to be understood. To say "Oh but we cannot understand" is a complete avoidance of actually describing God's nature and what it means for us.You've taken a line of argument here that says that the nature of God is a mysterious unknown for a significant part. This is simply not true. The nature of God is clearly outlined. You've attempted to deal with an argument that requests a reason for why God acts in a particular way by suggesting the we do not comprehend it, but this is false. Not only is the nature of God's authority, that what God does is righteous, defined to us, so the nature of any action that God engages is because it is just and proper, but because of how, if we are to be affected by a force, it must be conceptually linked to our reality, so we can posit ideas of what reasons God might have for doing an action. We can take an action that God does and speculate a reason as to why God might do that. There are, of course, an infinite number of reasons that God might to something, but we have the conceptual framework to understand why God would, so we might propose many ideas that do no reflect the truth of why God is acting, but this doesn't change that we have the capacity to understand God's motives. It is a function of understanding what justice is.

Let's say God does X action to prevent Y. Y is caused by A, B and C which result from X action. Now we humans cannot perceive A, B, and C at this moment, so it might appear to us that there is no reason to prevent Y, but this doesn't mean that we cannot understand why God would take the action. We can, as humans can say: "What if A, B and C exist as a result of action X and that they then produce the unjust outcome of Y," meaning although we might not conceive the exact reason that God act, we CAN conceive the reason that God is acting. We might not know the fullness of God(then again we might, for God might reveal his entire nature to us), but we do understand the fullness of God conceptually.

The other two problems can be answered by a means other than God. In case of morality, one can simply pose and answer that there is a truth of morality to the universe(doesn't necessarily mean it is right of course). Instead of "God is right," people can say, for example, "do not steal" is right. For the origin of the universe, one can simply propose a point of origin that is not God(though again, that doesn't mean that their explanation is right).

I think you are getting me wrong. Of course we can understand God in a way He wills us to understand Him. I am communicating with someone who does not believe in the existence of God as the beginning of all things. God enters human history for our salvation and all must be interpreted according to His acts to save us. The things He does not wants us to know, will remain to be hidden and we should not worry about that.
