I finally got to talk to Nate tonight!!!!!! We were both in a good mood so I was kinda afraid to ask about what happened though sweatdrop
I'll definitely ask about that if I talk to him tomorrow....
And it feels good that I found a few people I know that have lunch or a class with me :}
So now I'm feeling really gooooodddddd. Though I'm kinda kicking myself a bit for not asking.... sweatdrop
But now I just have to remember never to say 'whats up' to him.....

Lennons: Is he deployed or in training? I really hope your time goes by fast! My last four months went pretty quick.. Kept myself very busy ( it's easy when you have a baby though! )

Deployed - I hope it goes by fast, too.
My job keeps me pretty busy, but I'll have to quit in October
so I can go back down to Georgia and get an apartment.
So once that happens, I assume the days are going to be pretty doggone long.
Arrr. But whatevers. S'long as they don't extend the deployment (there's been talk), it's all good.

Lennons: There is always talk about extensions.. but if you are over halfway, then you can be pretty secure. Normally you will know before the last part of deployment. Unless he has a job that they lack with their replacements. But then he has to agree to extend.
Don't listen to the rumors they will drive you crazy ^_^!

Yeah, rumors (and the drama with other wives!) are one of the reasons I'm glad I'm uber far away from base.
But some are a little frustrating to ignore, especially when it concerns extensions;
They've done that to a few of the 19D Brigades;
One in particular was on their way home and had to turn around because the Army
Didn't take the time to train other brigades to use certain items.
I'd have to start kicking some a** if that happens. =3

The tour is twelve months;
From the beginning of last December to mid-December of this year.
Am so uber excited; can't wait to get my life back.

Lennons: OHHH yeah.. Wives can be a hassle.. I stayed on base, but didn't really associate myself with many of the wives in my husbands battalion. So when there were rumors, they weren't about my husband xD!
BUT NOW all the wives are coming back.. and they are SO obnoxious it drives me insane.. =-=.

Year tours really suck. :[ I am right there with you. I'm 100% Army.. but our deployments are the worst.. gonk

December sounds like such a romantic time to come home o3o!!!!

I agree. Some of these wives are absolutely ridiculous - embarrassments even.
The worst ones though are the ones who jump from soldier to soldier - have you seen this crap?
There's a woman who has three kids with three different soldiers.
When one deploys, she finds another one. It's sick.

Deployments are just plain ridiculous. . .
I love everything about the Army lifestyle aside from that.

Oh, it's going to be fantastic! Our anniversary is December thirtieth;
We weren't able to celebrate it last year because of the deployment,
But he should be home in time to celebrate this year. Hooah!

but sometimes it just craps out after a minute of video chat.

You're right. That is absolutely sick. It's just not right. And that's gotta be awkward for the soldiers...if they don't hate the others... I understand that maybe sometimes you can't help falling for your friends ex or something(I mean, hey, Nate is my best friend's ex) like that. But even among friends that's sick. And even more so knowing that woman isn't gonna be there waiting for him when he gets home.

Oh yeah, happens all the time. Their internet is s**t over there.
My husband and I can usually chat five minutes before it disconnects
So we usually stick to the Skype Call thing or Yahoo Messenger.
It's difficult not to be able to see him, but at least I get his voice.
