I want to see Obama take another term. I think he's a very rational person, and he has a lot of good ideas on how to improve America. He's also my second-favorite President from my lifetime (Clinton being the first), but that's probably because the only other president I was older enough to remember was Bush, and he was a disaster.

If a Republican were to get elected, I would be in support of Ron Paul, but I know he doesn't stand a chance of getting elected at this point. It's probably going to be Rick Santorum, but he's one of those candidates that seems to provide a lot of stupid and not enough facts. But he's still better than Gingrich and Romney.

Romney seems like the best republican option, but at the same time he has a lot of faults too. I just don't know.

While I’m not impressed with Obama, so far the opposition isn’t exactly promising.

Romney seems to be the closest to a moderate. Still disagree with him on several key issues, but I can see where he’s coming from.

Gingrich is too conservative for my tastes.

Santorum just scares me. Seriously, he’s that far out there. I do not want my right to contraception left up to the state legislature here; I shudder to think about what it would be like in truly conservative places or even just Virginia. That, and the whole porn thing. I am an adult, therefore I fail to see how it’s any of his business whether or not I watch porn made by other consenting adults.

Ron Paul… Hm, well first of all I don’t think there’s actually a chance that he will win. The guy seems to be honest, I’ll give him that, but I’m not totally sold on him. Some of his ideas seem good, others I disagree with strongly. I’m also rather skeptical about some of his economic plans.

…I think it might be time to start looking into third parties.

Why are you scared of Santorum? I share lots of the same ideologies as him.
