Always nice to get compliments. They help balance out all the beggars. I'm glad you liked it so much. I thought of one thing I could improve but I've been kind of too busy for it lately. >.<

...Why is it that people are sending you Michael's Memory? (I have a few dozen just from collecting the DC on a few different accounts.) I really hope they discontinue them soon. I never really wanted them to begin with but they seem even more.... disrespectful. (Not that I liked the man at all but he's dead and you know, being respectful of the dead.)

I think it's because of an off-handed comment I jokingly made about collecting them so that I could dispose of them. They should've just kept the name "Sequined Glove" instead of tacking Michael's name to it. -shrugs- Either way, I have about 500 of them, so I just give them to newbs when they ask for a donation. Every now and then I get an extremely grateful newb, but that isn't very often. >_<

I don't donate to beggars. I typically send them a link to my thread and suggest they read it. I do donate though. Just not if people ask. And I prefer contests to straight-out donations. Because then they actually did something to receive it.

I thought about collecting a certain kind of junk and disposing of it to see if it affected the marketplace price but it seemed like a lot of effort.

Ruthless Player

Perhaps I should start sending them the link to this guide, but then...what would I do with all these Sequined Gloves? O: My normal donations are usually left for my friends. Typically, I'll donate something I know they've been questing if it's their birthday, but they never ask and they almost always try to send it back to me. >_> Pisses me off. Lulz.

*laughs*

Yeah, I usually give my friends birthday presents. I pick something from their wish list and give it to them. I gave out Christmas presents to some people last year as well. I don't know if I'll do that this year or not. But I've been hoarding up all kinds of mispriced or exceptionally low-priced items I've picked up and I think I'll give them away at Christmas.

It's been kind of interesting to see how people found this guide.

Hi, I'm a newbie at hoarding. (Don't ask me why I took so long to get started, despite having been here for ages.) Read this thread and your other thread, and was really impressed by all the good advice you gave. Thanks so much for taking the time to write all this.

Anyway, I'd just like to ask if you think Kitty Slippers are any good for long-term hoarding. If so, is 7k a reasonable amount to pay for each of them? (I have something like 25 of them, so I'm wondering if I should get more.)

Well, kitty slippers are a good hoard. Or rather, they were if you had jumped on that wagon a year or more ago. At present I don't see them rising really quickly any time in the near future. I'd say you should probably sell them.

If you're looking for a long-term hoard I'd suggest Wind Halos.

But if you want something that'll pay out more immediately I'd recommended getting together a hoard of Valentines, Easter, and Saint Patricks day items. They're all rather cheap right now and in a few months when the appropriate season comes around they'll pay out tremendously.

Ok, I'll take a bit of time to sell them off then. (I'm actually netting a small profit off them, even though I only started a short while back.)
Will take your advice and start a Valentine's hoard. ^^
Thanks. ^^

*nodnod* They have gone up in price a bit lately since the market's on the uphill toward christmas and it's good that you'll make a bit of profit.

You're very welcome. ^.^
Great guide, definitely one to keep an eye on. Thanks very much for making it biggrin

Everything's laid out in an easy to understand format, and the advice is really handy for those just beginning to learn about hoarding like I am.
