Aww well I have only been a wife for a few hours so I don't think I am awesome just yet. Though Chris might say other wise.

That's not stupid at all. I would be the same way if it were me. I mean I am kinda glad to be changing my name and moving states away form my family after all the emotional abuse I have been threw at there hands. Its a total new start for me erasing my past and the pain linked too,
Also I kinda regret giving Hope her fathers name. He think he will being doing the same to her after I move he doesn't make effort now I highly doubt he will make effort then.

Yeah... But what bothers me the most is:

1. that he told me 2 days after I met him. Like, I know there are people who immediately fall in love or have a lot of trust or whatever, but dang. This is the worst.

2. that his FB is a real downer. 2/3 posts are somewhat unhappy, unconfident, or just weird.

3. that he kept fishing for compliments and trying to explain himself when I poked fun at him or made a joke. "You're crazy. >.> <.<" "I was kidding. I'm a nice guy blah blah. :/" Take a joke and chill...

1)Maybe he wanted to get it out of the way in case you wanted to run away sooner? I am like that (never been to jail) but if I am interested in someone I always be very out front out things so it doesn't cause a conflict later.

2) I am bias on this subject. I used to be like that. So as a Fb downer.. I have no comment.

3) People with low self esteem(Guessing he has low self esteem based on the FB comment you made) can be like that some times. I know I do fish for them. And I try and explain myself and get defensive easily.

Seeing what you said, he does seem a bit off. But I am bias still and say go for it if its too bad just walk away. xD (that's just me)

I'll just keep talking to him for now. If my mind changes a little, then we'll see and I'll let you know. But my little boy toils are nothing...

At one point I was going to get my last name changed when my mom married my step-dad.
I wasn't too fond of him at the time though, so that never happened. After a while I realized I didn't want to go through the hassle of getting it changed when I was already so used to my last name being what it is.

I just hated that fact that, for instance, there were some teachers I had in high school that, when they saw what my last name was, would pull me aside and ask things like "How is your dad doing?" etc. I would quickly let them know who my mom and grandma were (since my grandma was a teacher in the high school for over 30 years, so everyone knew her), that way the focus would switch from my dad to members of my family that I actually know/care about. It was annoying to always be associated with my dad, because I knew (and I still know) absolutely nothing about him, how he's doing, or if he's even still alive. I also really, really don't care, so when people brought it up, it just angered me.
