I've been wanting to do an ugly Christmas sweater party for a while now.
So I'm really excited. It's just something fun to do, plus I'll probably never wear the thing again.
Think of it that way though; you don't have to wear the sweater again after the party.
And you can probably find a really cheap, ugly sweater at a thrift store.

I don't understand why you and Q are so upset about this. Christmas is not Christmas because you buy presents for people. It's Christmas because you give to people and spend time with loved ones. Give them homemade presents, cook for them, write or draw them something nice. Money doesn't make Christmas!

Also, I love you.
It's obvious that the true spirit of the season has been lost, but it's great to know that people out there still understand what it's all about.
I've had some downright crappy Christmases and I've never once complained about the holiday (I literally got a piece of coal as a gift one year and... well, I won't get into it) but as I got older, I realized gifts didn't matter anyway.
You know what my favorite thing about this time of year is? All the volunteering I get to do. Even though I live in a different place this year, I still did the bell ringing for the Salvation Army yesterday and it felt awesome. I didn't do it so that I could brag about having done it, I did it because I know the donations are going out to the people who need it most, thus making me realize that even if I don't get anything for Christmas, at least I have amazing friends and family to spend the holiday with.

Please please PLEASE use this as a topic in your blog. I wants to read it!

And about the volunteering... That's just wonderful. I wish I had that kind of drive to volunteer for the sake of giving to others. I did NHS for so long that it became more of an assignment. Dx Every few trips to the store during December, i put money in the lil' bucket. I hope my small contribution blesses someone~
