I don't get to go home for Christmas. xD
I can't afford it, and my parents were considering ways to pay for it, then realized with my new job, we don't even know how many days I'll get off.
So I probably won't be able to anyway. Going to my boyfriend's family's house instead, again.
But I popped a small package in the mail to them Friday! And I'll call them.
This'll make the third Christmas in a row I haven't been home. o 3o

Oh, I understand that too.
Sometimes doing a lot of volunteering can be overwhelming, that's why I limit myself to only doing a few things each year.
Last year it was volunteering to hand out free lunches over the summer for the children who lived in my neighborhood, this year it was the Salvation Army bell ringing.

That reminds me, someone asked Gabe and I if we hear bells ringing in our sleep. We explained to him that we don't do the ringing every day, and that it was our first time, but maybe we'll start to hear bells all the time now.

I'm throwing an ugly Christmas sweater party with my friend back home in PA.
We're wearing the ugliest Christmas themed sweaters we can find/make, and then hanging out and watching Christmas specials of different things, as well as drinking Christmas tea (I ordered some yesterday, I'm so excited to get it!) and eggnog, and hot cocoa and... just doing fun things.

If you want to do that with a blog, sounds like you might want a tumblr. Seems like the right kind of blog. I wanted a blog where I wouldn't be tempted to waste away with pictures and whatnot. FB already does that. rofl

I was going to do Tumblr for the MLP stuff, and look at another site for the blog where I just rant about stuff.
I don't feel like getting into Tumblr though. I have Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram for all my picture needs right now.
For a while I would use the Notes feature on Facebook for my daily rants, but I stopped for some reason.
Which is weird, because people were reading and responding to it, and it was quite fun.

Not that I did anything with friends back home anyway, so nothing's really changing. xD
Maybe I'll meet some co-workers who will throw a Christmas party?

I'm curious, what does alcoholic eggnog taste like? When I was little I didn't even know there was such a thing. I usually just put eggnog in my coffee instead of half n half.

I've never had it.
I didn't even have normal eggnog until last year.

I thought about the notes feature on FB as well, buuut I like having everything personalized and separate from FB. Plus, I can track when people see my blog on Blogspot/Blogger. You should try it out; it just takes a gmail. 3nodding
