I'm pretty sure Mura's design is a nod to Ciel in Black Butler when he was forced to cross dress. Mura even has an eye patch.

At the risk of derailing the topic:

What I'm more curious about is whether or not she made any other appearances before, besides appearing on one of the default profile backgrounds for a long time. I'm not exactly among the oldest users, so if there was something featuring her before that got deleted or lost, I'd be glad to see it if it answers my questions.
