Honestly I kind of find this thread and its subject to be a little sad.

They're taking fictional characters, making them gay for no reason other than to make them gay with no real motivation or personality driven focus, and drawing porn of it.

Pathetic much? Is the idea of hetero-male sexuality so threatening to Yaoi fangirls that they MUST make every single male character gay to protect their fragile psyches?

Also, porn of fictional characters is wierd. They don't exist, hell these two only exist as NPCs on a socially irrelevant website. Why does there need to be porn of them? Are these people's sex lives really so barren that they HAVE to draw cartoon p***s?

I'm an openly bisexual woman and I find no need to make canonically straight characters gay. To me it detracts from their established characterization. I also wouldn't make gay characters straight.

I'm not demonizing people who like drawn porn. Check your definitions before throwing out big words. I'm saying that I personally see no point in drawn porn. I don't see much point in real porn either but at least that features actual people who exist. I'm not saying that they're evil or wrong, just that my opinion is different.

In fact I believe I stated in the beginning of my post that it's MY OPINION. Just because I have an opinion doesn't make me correct nor does it make anyone else correct.

Also, if a character is gay in a book or television there doesn't NEED to be a reason for them to be gay. If they're straight there doesn't need to be a reason either and there's NO reason to turn them gay just because you want them to be gay.

The fact of the matter is that these characters are fictional. Fantasizing over someone who doesn't exist is sad no matter how you swing it.

To be fair to xx I met my fate xx, I think it sounds like someone who has hung around in some very yaoi heavy fandoms. While I do agree a lot of LGBT make "head cannons" the truth is a lot of people who make yaoi head cannons in a lot of other fandoms are straight.

I kid you not, depending on which fandom you're talking about, they can be nearly all straight, and some of them, they bash the female characters like not tomorrow. It doesn't matter who the character is, they can be too bitchy, too weak, to stupid, too naive, too something. It gets really irritating after a while, even if your own head cannon are a few guy pairings just for the character clashes.

However, I will say I disagree with xx I met my fate xx's opinion about cartoon porn. To me it is really no different than reading a smutty romantic novel, or watching porn. It's just, people might prefer seeing or even drawing porn as oppose to reading a smutty romantic novel or watching live action porn.

I'll also say, interestingly enough, that not all cartoons depicting an adult scene is meant to titillate. This kind of falls into the weird fandom thing, in which it's something you might want to see but not necessary for the purpose of titillation. I can't really describe it all that well, but just trust me when I say, not all pictures depicting a sexual act is necessarily for arousal.

It's good to know that Gaia Interactive has time and money to spend on a piece of crap like Tentacl, but some how it's outrageous to ask for bugs/glitches and features to be updated here. Even as they ask people to spend money on SwitchEm there is a bug that persists that takes peoples' money but doesn't allow them to progress further in the game. How could they in all conscious ask people to spend money on a broken game. Unfortunate this is par for the course for Gaia Interactive.

When people spend money on this site it doesn't go to supporting Gaia online, it goes to Gaia Interactive and whatever bullshit projects they feel like doing and seem to have nothing to do with this site. ninja It's pretty obvious and has been obvious for some time that Gaia Interactive doesn't view Gaia online at the very top of their priorities anymore but only as a overblown cash cow and not the community people have grown to love over the years. cry

I have nothing against a company making money and spreading out what it does, but not at the expense of the community that got it where it is in the first place. How would you feel if Google's search engine became worst over the years and they refused to make it any better because they where too busy building driverless cars? I bet you would be pretty pissed too.

I'm over 18 and I will never sign up for Tentacl. I see how they treat Gaia Online and I will never use another Gaia Interactive site/product again. I have been here too long to drop out now. If this is how they treat people/customers/community then why would I ever use any of their other products/sites?

I think the worst part is knowing that there is a time limit for this site. based on the pattern Gaia has set with the majority of it's past projects, the only thing to guess is how long this site will be up.

Just like Gaia, That site has no hook to speak of. What is special about that site to lure users to sign up? Reddit and 4Chan are already established sites and have tons of users. Gaia still has no clue as a business and this is doomed to follow the same pattern.

What is special about this site you can't get anywhere else? The answer is "Nothing at all" If a website has no hook, noone is going to give two shits about signing up and giving them money. Constantly marketing to the "I LOVE CUTE" crowd limits their financial income. It's like having an ice cream place with only Chocolate, Vanilla, and Strawberry and wondering why a different ice cream place, with 31 flavors, gets more business.

The majority of items in the "cash shop" of Tentacl are pink and female oriented. Even some of the male clothing is unable to be equipped by a female avatar such as a neck scarf only available to a male avatar.

Then again, the pair of pants I wanted my avi to have their wasn't even lined up correctly with the base. Gaia has been around since 2003, how does the staff run into these basic problems? These are things I would expect someone with 0 experience to have to master. You guys have been around for years, come on!!
