Yuni set herself back on all-fours as Vey seated herself, pacing in happy circles till there was a knee she could headboop. Took a headboop to the knee! Chya! But then she was distracted by the milk that was set down, and she quickly dunked her muzzle into the saucer to get a drink. And then she was distracted from that with the feel of a hand on her fur. Yuni wiggled about, playfully batting her wee paws at Vey's fingers and mewing.

Vey continued to giggle as Yuni played with her fingers, she gladly went along with it, letting the kitten bat at and even nom on her finger tips before they would reach in and tickle her fuzzy belly.

After a few rounds of this Vey grinned, materializing a few toys for the little kitten to play with. A red ribbon that was a foot in length, a large ball of yarn that wouldn't unwravel, and a toy mouse, almost the same size as the kitten herself!

Taking the ribbon, Vey dangled it in the air, she was getting a kick out of playing with Yuni. As far as children went, Vey enjoyed Yuni's company as compared to other brats.

She'd gone out again this morning for a run this time. Sam came in, pink faced. Wearing a purple sweater, jeans, and tennis shoes. She'd thrown out her original pair during her shopping spree with Krauly at the beginning of the year. Samantha had her hair tied back in a pony tail. She spotted Vey and Yuni playing together on the floor, seeing as how they were the only people in the room. She smiled at them and walked in to the kitchen to grab a water bottle; a warm one rather than one from the fridge. She needed to hydrate, but she hated the cold. The teen set the bottle on the bar counter and took off her sweater, revealing a black sports bra. "We're all girls here, right?" She mused as she opened the water bottle and took a long drink. She then proceeded to grab her sweater and take it, as well as the bottle, to the sofa, where she promptly plopped on her a** and stretched out.

Graaaaarrrrrh! Zeh belly! Zeh precious belly fluff!

Yuni was having a grand old time playing with Vey, and practically had a heart attack when the toys appeared. That mouse was huuuuuuuuuuuge! Ermagerd! The feline would have pounced on that beastly toy on sight if it weren't for the fingers she was currently busy with.

Her blonde playmate had chosen the ribbon and Yuni scrambled back onto her paws from her back to wiggle about. She leaned up onto her rear legs, reaching up with her front paws to flail at the ribbon. Dear gods, it was amazing, this ribbon. Must. Flail. Must. Catch.

And then a Sam appeared! She looked like she had been out all morning. The kitten broke her attention on the ribbon to mew in greeting to the girl. They were all girls here, but the child under the fur didn't understand what that had to do with Sam taking her sweater off.

So engrossed in her playtime, the kitten's ears didn't even twitch at the sound of the Moon's portal door opening. A violet haired woman quietly entered the establishment, wearing a burgundy trench coat that covered most of her pale, too-skinny form. Dark eyes looked over the place, spotting the two women in the bar area with the kitten being all spazz-happy. A faint smile was on the woman's face as she ghosted over to the bar counter, claiming a bar stool for now.

Taking notice of Sam, Vey smiled and waved to her, though most of her attention was on the kitten, such a wonderful distraction she was. Sure she'd noticed the other woman whom had entered, but Vey didn't pay any heed to her, she'd taken a seat at the bar and was being peaceful.

Soon, the ribbon play was loosing its appeal, and it dropped upon Yuni's head as Vey giggled. Scooping up the stuffed mouse Vey made it move as though it were alive, and had it approach Yuni curiously.

The ribbon was dropped onto her, and Yuni hugged portions of it to her while flopping over. She mewed a few times as she struggled with the thing, trying not to get tangled in the mess as she rolled and wiggled. However, when the mouse toy moved towards her, she freaked.

HOLY SPARKLY DONUTS. IT'S ALLLLIIIIIIIIIVVVVVVEE!

The kitten moved too quickly and tripped over her own paws, the ribbon twining around her legs awkwardly. Still, she wiggling about to wiggle her nose and try to bat a paw at the mouse.

Vey nearly fell over with how hard she was trying not to burst out laughing. Yuni's reaction had been too cute! As she investigated the mouse it 'shivered' a bit as she approached, and darted backwards when batted on its head.

Then the real surprize came, Vey's hand squeezed the mouses' body, and it SQUEAKED!

With its sudden squeak it surged forward, as though it was going to pounce on the kitten. Vey meanwhile, was struggling not to keel over laughing.

It squeaked.

The kitten spazzed excitedly at this, squirming her front paws out of the tangle of ribbon to flail them at the mouse's squeakiness. She herself gave of a squeaky mew, though she didn't realize she didn't have to be squeezed to produce it. To her, at this moment in time, the mouse was alive. If it makes noise, it's alive. Cat logic, ftw.

But then it came at her in a pounce, and the kitty scrambled away from it until her back legs tripped up in the ribbon. Then she just flopped, worming her way around the closest thing she could hide behind.

Gosh damn that scared the fluff out of her!

Vey couldn't take it any more, letting the mouse drop she picked Yuni up and hugged her. The older woman was giggling her head off while she pet the kitten gently. It had been too long since the last time she had played with an animal, even if this one was actually a little girl.

"Ooh man, I wish I had a camera. That was just too adorable." She said with a sigh, completely neglecting the fact she could have made one then and there, but the moment had passed. Some moments were best kept in memories than any other form of information storage.

"That was lots of fun, thank you Yuni. You're Aweshum." Vey continued to laugh as she moved herself to a couch, sitting the calico in her lap and rubbing behind her ears.

Yuni was panting a little with the adrenaline playtime provided, mewing once as she was plucked up for a hug. A purr emanated from her throat and she snuggled into the woman's hold. Cat or not, the Nekojin loved hugs just as much as she loved belly rubs. Nuzzling the hand that pet her in agreement to the fun, the calico fluffed up in the 'I know I'm awshum' way.

Then she was set on the woman's lap, stretching a little to get comfy. Icy eyes blinked, catching a glimpse of the burgundy trench coat clad female at the bar, and closed as she felt fingers behind her ears. Ah, that's the spot... Yuni practically melted, vibrating in full throttle purrs.

Wait a tick...

The kitten's eyes snapped open, blinking owlishly at the woman again, before she would spazz a little. She would try to hide against Vey's stomach or side, curling up and wiggling nervously.

Vey was enjoying lavishing the kitten with affection, the sound of Yuni's purrs were strangely relaxing for her to hear.

But then the kitten began to spaz again, Vey tried to keep petting her to calm her down, and looked around. She wondered what might have caused the little one to react like that, and could only see Sam and the woman in the burgundy coat.

Raising a brow, she wondered if Yuni knew the new woman. Until any hostile moves were made however she didn't say or do anything other than continue to pet the nekojin.

"She never liked me very much..." A raspy, whispery voice called out, traveling from the newcomer and to Vey and Yuni. The gunslinger shifted on the stool, turning to fully face them with one leg crossed over the other and her chin in a palm. Her pale face was passive, holding nothing. "And probably never will."

The kitten chattered a little, as felines tend to do. Yuni would peek at the woman, then duck under Vey's hands and even tried to worm under the hem of her shirt. Dark eyes rolled at this antic, followed by a quiet sigh.

"I am not here to hurt you, as you so often believe. And we already established that I would not have to take you from here unless needed."

Vey was concerned with the way Yuni was behaving, but when the other woman said she was not going to hurt the nekojin the blond calmed herself. Supressing a yawn she looked between the two while attempting to keep the kitten from getting beneath the hem of her thin shirt, her cheeks turning a faint pink.

"Yuni, chill..." Vey urged the little one, picking her up and tucking the kitten in the crook of her arm as she sprawled out on the couch upon her side. "I need a nap, but if you want to stay here I promise you'll be safe." She spoke through a yawn that had broken free of her control. Once comfortable enough Vey was out cold, but the slightest movement that was not fuzzy would be met with extreme prejudace.

Yuni would force herself to calm, curling up as she was stuffed in her favorite place of someone's arm. Vey was going to nap, and the kitten would be safe. She had heard how quick someone's arm was twisted when they tried to wake the blonde woman before... Every so often, the feline would peek over at the violet haired woman at the bar counter. Kai was doing nothing except looking at the kitten with a vaguely bored expression.

"Sleep, kitty cat." Whispered the woman, a tingling magic drifting from her voice to the feline's ears. "You will have no nightmares with me watching your head."

Oh, that's so comforting... It would take a while before Yuni could coax herself to take a little nap herself.

When she woke, it was with a great surprise. Lavender eyes met her own, and Vey sat up slowly so as not to disturbe Yuni. "Hello Hektor, what brings you back here?" She posed to the man, he'd come in through the main door while most were off in their own little worlds. Being a highly trained psychic helped some too, to most it was as though he weren't even there.

"Can't you feel it? His muderous intent hangs in the air like cheap perfume. Am dissapoint mein freund." His black ankle length hair lay curled around him as he sat on the coffee table before Vey's couch. The leather coat and black dress shirt he wore kept his torso warm, Hektor's lithe form was not well suited for the cold.

Normally Vey would have thrown the man out herself, but lately she'd been noticing the strange vibe in the air as well, it had been faint to her as her psychic abilities were not as refined as Hektors. Staring at the man she cast her gaze to the stage and sighed. "What would you propose I do? Can not just leave him... Nor the others." She rebuttled, neglecting to mention that impulsive effect Jin had on her. Whenever they were near, her reason went out the window. Even if she thought he might kill her, Vey wouldn't leave his side. It would be her downfall, that sense of loyalty of hers.

The rest of their converstation continued on a mental level, Hektor posing questions to her and merely reading the answers that came to Vey's mind. She was not strong enough to project into anothers mind yet, but she was at least able to block unwanted guests from hers.
