Noticing the change of persona Orphen's features relaxed then shifted into a calm smile. The once blue eyes that his matched with had shifted into jade and gold. Being familiar with who she was Orphen knew the hue change signified that Raveena was once again Raven.

"Welcome back Greenbird. I'm honored to have you."

With his warm smile becoming warm in nature Orphen took a step back looking over frame again.

"You look good in blue."

Quickly clapping his hands together, the silver lining his clothes would fizzle away being replaced by a green sharp enough to match Raven's eyes.

"Right now I don't feel like my complete self but I will be soon. I'll have to go away for a short time soon, but I will come back and it won't take nearly as long as my last journey. I just think that you should know that first....."

His brown orbs broke away from Raven's shifting to the right for a beat, giving a quick glimpse of hate and disdain aimed at a memory crossing his mind. As his gaze returned to Raven, peace and happieness became dominate accompanied by an outreaching hand.

< "It is the color of Royalty for my people. I--" >

Cut off by his slight change of attire, Raven sucked in a small gasp of surprise, caught off guard by the magic. She had become so used to something entirely different that it was sometimes difficult to remember that the Pendragons were steeped in the mystic more so than she was. Raven was a born Elementalist, but being stripped of most of her blood, she had adapted with Equip magic, concentrated with contact with zodiac signs for their elemental power.

Raven stood there, the space between them seemed to stretch with the years they had been absent from one another. This man had accepted her for all the atrocities she had committed. He knew of her story, down to the most gruesome detail. He had chosen to fight along side with her for Lucas against ORDER. Her lips tightened at the memory of her death--and she had died. Roan's blood had been her only saving grace for returning. Raven could remember seeing her own face leering back at her, the psychokinetic force restraining her to the wall, feeling the smother of water to her face as her clones were forcing her to drown. Raven could remember being fatally stabbed, of seeing the sphere of water that choked and smothered her face turning red as she choked on her own blood. She had seen him then, standing there after just arriving. She had seized and choked and thrashed, desperate for him not to be there. And then she had gone still and darkness took over.

Raven had not realized she had gotten so caught up in the memory. Her fists were clenching and relaxing, her shoulders square. OXY had kidnapped her from the Guild, tearing her away from her new family. She had not even had a chance to say good bye to Orphen before it had happened. They had exchanged one last kiss and before she knew it, years had gone by. When he spoke of leaving again, her heart hammered restlessly in her chest, disliking the very idea. He was trusting her, reassuring her once more and her shoulders went slack.

< "When...I was kidnapped. I didn't think I would see you again and if I did, it was because I was to be reconditioned to kill you. I-I didn't...I didn't want to kill you. I didn't want to fight for my will to save you. Light, Lucas...he needed my help. When I was free, I went to aid him and I was terrified OXY would come after me. I knew where we were going, they could not follow. Then I Ascended and my body was lost in this world for 5,000 years..." >

Overwhelmed with emotion, Raven could not help but ramble. She felt as if she owed this man an explanation for why she never came back directly when their feelings had become so evident. The shocker was that Raven was technically from the very distant future. A series of very complicated events had led to even receiving Hartia's invitation. It was even more complicated to traverse paradigms and bypass space-time just to be present. The Fallen Engineer had not let her down and seeing Orphen--hand outstretched to her--Raven whole-heartedly believed it was worth it.

Reaching out, she accepted his hand with her own. It was such a dainty hand against his larger one. Slivers of light refracting off the marbled skin, showing off the scars against his darker complexion. Raven could feel the wash of his happiness, his peace like a soothing tide. Slender digits squeezed his hand reassuringly. Her remorse gave way to strength as she nodded slowly to him.

< "...I'm here now. Things are complicated where I am from but I want this night with you, Orphen." >

"I know you wouldn't try to kill me out of your own intent, and I wouldn't hold something like that against you because of that reason. We lead complicated lives Raven but I won't let that stop me from reaching for you. I would like to see someone try and stop Orphen Pendragon from getting to his goal and live to tell the tale."

Grasping her chin with his thumb and index finger, Orphen stepped in and placed another kiss on her lips and then forehead.

"Anything you need I'm here to help you. As for our night together, let's make it the best night we can. Now Ms. Kanzaki, how about we blow this popcicle stand and find something fun for us today?"

Waving his hand out Orphen motioned towards the exit of the Pendragon Manor. It had been years since he'd been home and he was eager to explore the Manor all over again.

She smiled. How could she not? It hadn't been so long since they had met and yet it was as if they had never left. It was enough to make her worry that things were falling into place. She had her physical body, her rampant powers were being contained and controlled. She was no longer a mindless killing machine. Raven felt a small measure of peace, wanting to grasp onto it for as long as she could.

< "I hope Hartia will forgive me for stealing the guest of honor away." >

She winked at him through the mask and gently pulled him with her as she guided them through the crowds and made way for the exit.

"It is the guest of honor's choice as to what he wants to do isn't it?"

Orphen spoke as Raven pulled him towards the exit, but quickly picked up his own stride walking next to her. As the pair moved to leave, party-goers who heard his name through the night watched as if the two were royalty. Some pointed, some waved, but all noticed and ultimately brought attention to their location.

"So much for sneaking out, huh Princess?"

He enjoyed the attention and the presence of the people around. The hustle and bustle reminded him of life, the music adjusted his pulse, and the smells of the food being prepared caused his mouht to water.

"I really missed being alive."

With an ear to ear grin on his face, Orphen opened the door allowing Raven to pass through first. After her exit he would follow and close the door behind him.

< "What exactly happened? How long has it been exactly?" >

Looping an arm around his, she consented to showing off now that attention had been drawn to them. Her nose habitually wrinkled at the title of Princess. Her official title was so long Raven opted never to use it unless she absolutely required, which was thankfully almost never. If the man wanted to explore his new home then she was more than happy to oblige him as an escort. She knew better than anyone what it was like to feel alive. To be dead and reborn. The nature of the Revenant had seen to that.

Raven was intrigued to know just what had happened to the man she innocently kissed all those years ago. His death piqued her for all the wrong reasons. Her recollection of his last physical form was something that was certainly not human. It led her to wonder what death for someone such as himself was like?

< "Magic. Has it...has it always run through your veins? Tell me everything, Orphen. I want to know what happened to you." >

Her questions were eager and would be endless for some time until she was satisfied she had every answer from him. There was an earnestness in Raven's face as she gazed to him, her curiosity clearly getting the better of her.

Walking with Raven in tow Orphen inhaled deeply at the list of questions that she requested to be answered. As much as he wanted to answer all of them part of them he literally could not answer, for reasons he had no control over at the moment.

"I got no idea, how long....I astral projected cause I could move faster that way. There was less of a chance I'd get noticed as well. Magic has flowed through me since birth, same as Hartia. The Pendragon's have been a legendary family of Magic users since the lineage started. I'm not really free to talk about what happened right now..."

Orphen's jaw line pronounced itself as he clinched his teeth, allowing a seering anger to gather at the pit of his chest. His eye's drifted downward as he recalled the start of his journey and then awakening on the beach.

"Where I went....who I encounted, was a murderer of Pendragon's."

Placing his left hand on Raven's arm, he'd rub it gently reminding himself that she as well as the things around him were real.

"I survived because of my other lineage I think. But I'm not done with it."

After a rather long moment of mingling, the food and refreshments were assembled for the guests enjoyment. For now, Hartia refrained from eating. He was still depressed over his issues with his lover. He refused to outright show his distaste with it all, though his human side refused to relinquish the feelings he felt within. Though as they say, the show must go on. Making his way to the center of the grand ball room, he would take pleasure in muting the sounds produced by the guest of honor, his dear older brother. It was not unknown to him that Orphen and Ravenhad departed from the event, though they would surely learn of what was going on upon returning to the manor. Soon after muting the music, Hartia would clear his throat, and as he began speaking, Hartia voice boomed in projection throughout this entire floor of the mansion, much in the same manner his brother played music.

"Ladies and gentlemen, first I would like to say greetings, and thank you for being my guests on this very special night! As many of you may or may not know, My elder brother has returned home after a very long time. While I am not at liberty to speak on why, I can tell you that I as well as the entire Island of Golden Sun are at a loss of words for how glad we are to have him back. In addition, I would like to take this time to inform you all that a wonderful Italian cuisine has been prepared by my new friend Yuni for your enjoyment. Though before I dismiss you to enjoy the refreshments, I have one final announcment to make.

M
ore so for dramatic effect, he paused. A s**t eating grin plastered onto his face. His hands hoist up into as his voice raised with slightly with volume, but mostly with intensity.

"It is with great pleasure that I announce to you that the gone but never forgotten group known as The Gaian Fighters will be returning! At this time I will conduct a brief moment of silence in honor of the original founder of such an awesome group. Slyx Zethryo! This fearless leader sacrificed himself hundreds of years to save Gaia, Sigil, Hyperborea itself and so much more from the greatest foe we have ever faced still until this day. Without him, none of us would be here."

H
e finished that last sentence and bowed his head in silent respect. About 30 seconds would pass before he looked up again and announced just before the music cut back in with the light show.

"Thank you again! Enjoy yourselves. Don't forget to visit the Dining Hall for some grub!!!"

Of course Ania had eventually been cornered and forced inside to mingle with the crowd. But the lovely maid had her way of pinning down the fae and giving her a good scrubbing! Fingers idly played with the end of those black strands. Having half of it pulled up in delicate twists and curls that allowed the side of her neck to be viewed. While the other half cascaded down the front, those blue orbs of her outlined in black kohl with silver gems glued to the side to make them just pop.

Slipping into the room her back pressed into the wall listening to what was going on. Personally the news didn't pertain to the situation at the moment. Fingers moved from end of hair to smoothing down the gown she wore. A deep rich cobalt color that faded into a lovely silver. The bodice was snug and pushed those lovely assets of hers. Hugged the slim waist and swell of hips before it fanned out. A hidden split on the side reached up to the pelvic bone. When walking one could see a tantalizing glimpse of pale leg.

Head tilted to the side watching the crowd of people, mingling and what not. Her mind was at rest for the moment. No family to worry about ruining anything, considering she was no longer a Corva. Sure it stung but she would get over it. Slowly she broke away from the wall and began to walk about. The maid had given her a mask to where but Ania refused to wear it. Done hidding behind a mask and all.
Giada made her way through the hallway, making sure that she wouldnt brush up against anyone. The clutch purse she had in her hand was empty, the true weapons on her were hidden on her body. When she heard the call for food, she figured others would start to flock towards the food, and that is where she would start to make her move. Making her way along, she had already snatched a ring that was tucked away in her bodice. The dress clung to her figure beautifully, and she was surprised that no dashing gentleman had caught her eye. Sighing, she let her eyes travel around, and then she noticed the man who spoke up. Her eyebrows raised as she surveyed the one who was called Hartia Pendragon. Time to make her presence known. Making her way up to the man, she waited for other guests to pass him and held her hand out to him, "Monsieur Pendragon." she purred, the dark red lips that pursed into a sly smile. The Italian beauty waited for the greeting from the Pendragon.

Well this was certainly an unexpected surprise, and such a treat. He could barely believe he hadn't seen such an elegant beauty among his crowd, yet here she stood. Flawless. His emerald green eyes peered from beyond his slim and mysterious red mask that only covered his eyes. Her seductive voice proved to snag his attention, almost immediately he grabbed her hand as offer. Greeting her as he held it like the fragile thing it was.

"Salutation mademoiselle."

H
e mentioned before lifting her hand just a bit, his face moving the rest of the distance as he tenderly kissed the top of her hand, his nose silently taking a nice sniff of her fragrance. She was simply delicious. A wide and sadistic yet totally harmless smile panted his face. If his grin grew any more ear to ear, one might see his porcelain skin crack from it. Without being a weirdo and a creep, he let go of her hand. Continuing to speak as if to not have an awkward silence. He died to to know her name anyway.

"And what may I call such a divine creature as yourself?"

T
hough he was still sort of upset, she surely did a number to take his mind off of things for the moment. Besides, sexual healing mend all wounds.

fragile goodbyes
Hook, line, and sinker. Smiling, Giada watched as he brushed his lips across the top of her hand. She could practically feel the sexual energy coming from him, but she chose to dangle the bait a little longer. “My name is Gia, but you can call me anything you like.” She purred, her voice a heavy Italian accent, with a throaty growl to it almost. “Monsieur Pendragon, this gala is quite extravagant.” She said as she stepped up closer to him, her fingers ever so gently brushing his arm. “I am sad to say, I was a bit naughty, and snuck in here.” She gave him a sly grin. Stepping back, she placed her hands behind her back, and clutched the little wallet behind her. The intricate red mask glistened in the light, as she smoothed her dress down with her other hand. Thinking how she should’ve brought her gloves, she figured it didn’t matter. Her fingertips were already burned off to nothing but smooth skin. Adjusting herself slightly, she gave him a wickedly delicious grin, and tilted her head. “Would you mind showing me around your lovely home?” she stepped closer, almost whispering those words into his ear.

"Well then Gia, surprise guest or not, you are more than welcome. It makes it that much more of a pleasure I assure you."

T
his woman's presence was simply intoxicating. Her accent, the way she spoke, her smell, and her appearance all meshed into a masterpiece. Though he probably should have picked up on something, she seemed way too forward to be any sort of threat to him or his humble abode. Ironically enough, she requested a tour. He would have no trouble obliging her. Was it ironic or was it just him that as soon as he found himself in a place where he was upset with his lover and seemed to have lost track of his newest friend with benefits, another just seemed to poof into existence?

"I will show you many more lovely things than just my home dear. Please, this way."

H
e offered her his right arm as if to be a proper escort. First he would actually lend her a tour of some sort, though dependent on how this meeting went, he doubted she would even witness half of the manor before he would have her in some quiet well lit room. Well, it could be dark, though he liked seeing clearly everything that was going on. It made such private experiences that much more enjoyable. And from the looks of this woman, he didn't want to miss a beat. She had seen the foyer, and the ballroom. First stop, The Dining Hall before it was too crowded. After which he would lead her towards the game room. He had all sorts of fun things there from casino setting games to video games, to board games. Even a mini bar to complete the entire assembly.
Smiling, Gia knew she would have him wrapped around her nimble fingers by the end of the night. When he offered her his right arm, she gently accepted it, her fingers grazing ever so gently. Even though there were layers of clothes between them, her touch was warming up, and she couldn’t wait until she could find more baubles. Smiling, she looked up at him, her violet eyes were almost glowing, but she knew to take things slower. As they walked, she realized he was steering her towards the banquet hall. As they walked through, she snagged up a piece of pastry, and nibbled on it. Licking her lips ever so slightly, she looked up at him, and then proceeded to offer him a little nibble. As they walked, one would almost think them lovers the way she pressed close to him, and how he seemed to appreciate her company. The two were soon finished with the dining hall, and were making their way through the many twists and turns of the manor. When he slowed down, he pushed open doors to lead her into a room full of many tables of games everywhere. Removing her arm from his, she set her clutch down, and let her hand run over the velvet tops of the tables and came to the pool table. “Oh billiards? It has been quite some time since I have played. Shall we have a match?” she asked as she removed the cover and started to set the colorful spheres up. Every once in awhile, she would bend over to make sure he would get a good eyeful of her assets.

< "You're frustrated. I can feel it. I'm sorry, dear..." >

And for that, Raven truly was. His talk of magic intrigued her though. It was something she could relate to on another level. Being a mage had always run in her blood, though 'mage' was hardly the word she ever used for herself. More or less, deeper in the realm of ethereal ties, Raven and her line of Matreyans were Elementalist.

Tilting her head and keeping stride, her temple came to rest on his shoulder, a light resting place as she viewed the world at a tilted angle.

< "Magic runs in my veins as well, from my father. Why would someone seek to kill off Pendragons? Are they still alive?!" >

Curious and troubled, she tilted her head up to glance at him with concern. Was the murderer still at large? Would this ball attract their attention? Already the Guardian's mind was running through every other possible scenario from the best to the worst. Suddenly she wanted to be closer to Orphen, to become a sheath and shield. It didn't seem right that she was a murderer that still lived, while people she cared for were murdered by someone else.
