"Desperate? Nah', jus' smart bruh'. E'ry good businessman needs a wildcard draw. Besides, I'm workin' on separatin' sum' branches so this tree can grow. Ya' feel me?"
With his thoughts of a group meant to do the dirty work and play as enforcers, Darius was a perfect candidate. Not to head the branch, but to be the head's right hand. Best part was, Darius was agreeing to no life changing event, not really. Gang pride was about the most required out of one. Unless Bishop actually needed to put in a work order that required one of his cronies, they were free to do as they please. He was considered the boss, though he liked to believe his gang was almost equal to one another. Fewer numbers meant bigger roles inside the gang.
"Don' worry, I won' own ya'r nuthin'. Jus' gotta' answa' th' call when it's given...As fo' th' Compound V, ya' sure ya' ready t' make this commitment? Once ya' take a dose ya' down fo' life. Ya' want out, Ya' gon'ave t' cross Th' Riva' Styx."
He mused with delight as he took to smoking his herb. He offered the 'l' to Darius out of respect. The man was about to take that first step. The step up the ladder in the ranks of TRS. From Prospect to Crash Test Dummy, Darius was about to make either the best or worst choice of his life. Only thing he could be sure of right now is that Bishop was a man of his word. Despite his distaste to killing, he has in the past killed for the sake of saving face when it came to being a notorious gang leader. He wouldn't hesitate to do it again. He in no means felt like Darius was disposable, but like anyone else, 'You ******** with the bull, you get the horns'.
