Looks like the Christmas episode brought a few of us back.

I have to admit, the Clara conundrum has got me curious.
But is anyone else tired of the same type of flirty, hard-headed, always-ready-with-a-witty-comeback female companions?

A little bit yeah... I think that's why I was so drawn to companions like Sarah Jane, Rose & Amy because they were smart & resourceful & could keep up with The Doctor & keep him grounded, but also were normal & not constantly trying to outdo him. It makes them easier for us to relate to. Don't get me wrong...I do love seeing The Doctor get knocked for a loop by someone, but I think at the end of the day he needs someone who will let him just be fabulous, because he is 3nodding

Oh, ok. Long story short...Alphie is the son of a friend of The Doctor's. In the episode with Alphie we find out that The Doctor can speak baby & tells Craig that Alphie refers to him as 'not Mum' and everyone else as 'peasants' and prefers to be called 'Stormageddon, Dark Lord Over All' or something to that effect. Hilarious stuff. Anyway, I always thought it would be awesome if one day Alphie, all grown up, became The Doctor's companion.
