I loved the story over all. There were parts that were a bit meh, but I did like it. The good parts were amazing. I suppose I just didn't feel the whole shapeshifting alien thing. But I've never really enjoyed them. I was hoping that the daleks would play a bigger part. I think that's the ONLY part I wish had been different.

This about sums up what I thought.

And to answer your question about the coat looking similar to 9's jacket that was intentional. I read somewhere (hard to tell if it was Gaia, Google+, or Facebook now) that the jacket was a nod to 9's jacket, along with his vest being a nod to 8's vest.

Dang it...I miss out on this....Well...Not really. I miss Gaia's little thing for this event. But I did watch teh 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who! IT was awesome! ...but I couldn't hear much cause of everyone in the room with me. =_= Note to self, don't watch shows like that in the living room...
