Assistants/Companions

The Doctor has almost always had a companion by his side. His first ever companion were his granddaughter Susan Foreman and school teachers Babara Wright and Ian Chesterton.

The only epsiode without a companion of any shape or form was The Deadly Assassin.

The Doctors current companion is: Unknown at the moment due to Martha Jones leaving. Although, there is a rumour that *look away if you do not want to know* Catherine Tate (Donna) is coming back to be his assistant.

The Tardis

Time And Relative Dimension In Space

The Tardis travels in time and space. It is bigger on the interior than the exterior, kind of like a pocket! The Tardis is the Doctors vehicle, his space ship. The Doctors Tardis's chamelion device is broken, so his one is stuck as the form of a 1950's police box.

Enemies/Villains/Monsters

The Doctor had many enemies. Most of them monsters, some were aliens while one was a Time Lord too.

Re-ocurring Enemies
The Master
The greatest enemy of the Doctor. A Time Lord. Like the Doctor, he regenerated, alot. His regenerations were not all that good.

The Daleks
The Daleks are one of the most famous enemies of the Doctor. Their famous phrase is: 'Exterminate.'


Cybermen
The Cybermen are an army-like monster. They were humans to begin with. They upgraded into emotionless robots. Cybermen turn different any living thing into one of them.

Auton
The Auton first appeared in Spearhead from Space. The Auton are living dummies. They are aliens. They have deadly weapons in their hands. The Auton have also appeared in the first Christopher Eccleston Doctor Who episode.

Doctor Who Spin-offs

1981- K-9 and Company
A pilot episode for a potential spin-off series, K-9 and Company, was aired in 1981 with Elisabeth Sladen reprising her role as companion Sarah Jane Smith and John Leeson as the voice of K-9. The series did not do very well, resulting in one episode, then cancelling.

2006- Torchwood
The series was put onto BBC 3. John Barrowman stars as Captain Jack. One series has been out so far. The show is for 14 year olds and up. It involves blood, gore and violence.

2007- The Sarah Jane Adventures
The Sarah Jane Adventures, starring Elisabeth Sladen as Sarah Jane Smith, has been developed by CBBC; a special aired on New Year's Day 2007, and a full series will follow later in 2007.

Unpublished- Rose Tyler: Earth Defence
A planned spin-off, "Rose Tyler: Earth Defence", was canceled during pre-production in August 2006, as Russell T. Davies realized that it would render the goodbye between The Doctor and Rose at the end of season 2 meaningless and would be one spin-off too many, after "Torchwood" (2006) and "The Sarah Jane Adventures" (2007).

Caption Contest - To Celebrate 2nd Birthday of the thread

Okay. Since the thread has now been up for over two years, just missed it's second birthday. There will be a DW Caption Contest. As soon as I find a good picture. Not sure about prize. I have hardly any gold since I haven't been online for over a year.

It will not be publicized since I don't want people coming just for the prize.

As usual with Caption Contests the wittiest or funniest caption wins. I will be judging. And will leave it open for I dunno how long yet. Now to find a screenie.
