I take what you said as a very flattering compliment. I was hoping my thread wouldn't feel soo much as just a place for people to post and cross their fingers hoping for gold to fall on their lap. More so a place to let me know what you would like on Gaia, and just chat and make friends while I observe and donate to those who are genuinely trying to make friends. It seems weird, but when people chat among each other in this thread I feel really happy. I have donated to people who only applied and never posted though, so there's a chance for everybody to get something. But I have much more incentive to donate to the chatty people.

You bring a good point about the potential catastrophe of disproving a religion entirely for a fact. But what makes religion such a vast and easy thing to believe is the concept that it can never be disprove. Catholicism and Christianity gravitate around the idea that there exists an omnipotent being called God. And because God is all-powerful, we could hypothetically say that he has the power to make us believe that he doesn't exists for the sake of humoring us. And since only those who die get to reach the kingdom of heaven, we can't ask anybody if they've been there. I believe a philosopher named Descartes had a thought experiment about the evil demon that could implant any idea into our heads, and because the demon could implant said ideas, he could make us believe that he doesn't exist, but still mess with our heads, and we couldn't disprove it. I'm sure if there was any way to disprove religion, it'd already have been done. I agree with you as to the purpose of religion, to give an answer to the question that has been bugging us for millenniums. It was a hedonistic move for man to make up the answer to life, but it brought comfort and order to a whole race. At least for a while. It's sad that an idea created to keep men from stealing and murdering, has provoked those things, just like you mentioned holy wars. But seriously, any subjective topic can lead to a disagreement that could evolve into a bloody mess.

Oh! I know that video, the infamous "3 guys 1 hammer video". I remember those russian kids actually killed a s**t-ton of children, women, and men. That video helped bring them to justice. I still think I can top that wink . But I wouldn't want to just post the link to the video I have in mind willy nilly. I'd rather have your permission. There are alot of sick people out there with broken moral compasses, and they don't perceive what they're doing as cruel, but I'm sure there are people who know what they're doing is morbid, but they believe they have a justification to their actions. (Stupid pathetic ********) The holocaust has to be the most ******** up thing by far that I know of.
