@Griff: Well, the Weather Channel named it Juno, for ease of communication, and some news sources chose to go along with it. I saw another name on another website, something starting with a B. Other sites just called it "the blizzard of 2015" or something. There's no single naming authority for winter storms, unlike hurricanes.

I live towards the western edge of where the blizzard hit, so we got maybe 5 inches. But up until a couple hours before the storm, everyone was still saying we could get up to a couple feet, so the whole city was in emergency snow preparation mode, with people stocking up on food, all the power and gas companies sending out calls and emails on storm preparation, and of course there was the statewide travel ban. Then we got less snow than we did from a normal snowstorm a couple days before, and by the time I woke up the travel ban had been lifted from my county.

Oh wow! I don't think we had a travel ban? But we've been playing video games the whole time so no one in my house has checked the news haha.

The snow in our front yard is up to my knees. So we got a good bit of snow and then the back yard is a bit of a snow trap in places so we've got an almost five foot drift there haha.

It seems like most states effected by the snow had some kind of travel ban starting Monday evening, as in all non-emergency vehicles had to be off the road by that time. In CT it started at 9 pm, in NY it started at 11 pm, I think in MA it was at midnight. In CT the governor said it meant that for the duration of the storm there were only 11 accidents on the highway, instead of the hundreds we usually get per snow storm.
