（✪）HELL ON VANGARE

• Since the very first magical covens were founded, a struggle for power and balance perpetuated. The continent of Vangare is home to two of the oldest magical covens in the world of Lunista: House Fang and House Granate. For centuries the witches and warlocks of these covens fought for many things: power, magical weapons, ancient scrolls, resources, land, you name it. They've collaborated with just about any race/village/city/etc to get a leg up over the other. Ten years ago, under new leadership of High Priest Reginald and High Priestess Nilin within House Fang, a mission to unlock and summon Arianlord was initiated. Arianlord, a greater demon of darkness and despair has powers that can threaten the balance of the world. After catching wind of their devious goal, House Granate has scrambled to seek and destroy the ❝ k e y s ❞ needed to unleash Arianlord while engaging in fatal battles against the other. For ten years blood has been spilled in an all-out, secret war between the two magical covens. It appears House Granate is losing the war: House Fang currently posses 5 of the 6 keys. The keys are: Lungs of a slain dragon + The beating heart of a female elf virgin + King Salva's Cursed Dagger secretly forged from the horns of an ogre + The talisman of Gorda, stolen from the highest of monks in the Antiques Mountains + The Roman Scripture, an ancient spell book holding the proper incantations to summon demons + The blood of an infant Tigru. In recent events, another war has been declared, one that would drown the continent of Vangare in even more blood: The Civok Kingdom is under the impression that the Maizen Kingdom assassinated their Queen. The Maizen Kingdom (thanks to High Priest Reginald) is under the impression that the Civok Kingdom is responsible for the brutal massacre of Florah Village. Furthermore, the Zhu Kingdom is under the impression that mages from both Maizen and Civok are responsible for the Temani Village Massacre. How will fate roll the dice???

  xx "Thash" - is a continent wide holiday to celebrate peace and prosperity. Not many are aware of this (those aware would be the covens, older clans/packs/families, elves etc) but the origins of this holiday is actually derived from the day of Arianlord's first "and last" defeat many many many many generations, hundreds of years ago. Couples, families and friends write their names on a lantern and let it float up in the air at midnight to symbolize their wishes of staying together and gratefulness to the gods and goddesses above. Notable kingdoms and cities celebrate it differently with a variety of traditions. One constant tradition of Thash is that it is a day of "peace of mind", therefore any executions, murders is frowned down upon and most institutions give their workers a day off to be with family. Drinking, music, dancing and merriment are promoted. This year the holiday was ignored by the covens as House Granate lead a team to infiltrate House Fang for a rescue mission which in turn caused The Half Giant Rebellion. This rebellion cost the lives of a great number of coven men, women and children as well as damages to the physical structure of the coven. As a result, House Fang went under construction and hosted an emergency initiation ceremony to test out new possible members.
  『 April 13 - May 19
  Prince Alecion decided to focus his efforts for peace on Mazien after General Adara flew into a blind rage upon learning his companion was a member of one of the covens responsible for her family's death. Accompanied by a group of Granate mages he went to Mazien's capital to negotiate peace with the only surviving royal family member, Prince Seth. There he and Seth were going to combine their two halves of the maps that revealed Tigru's location in order to protect them, however Fang members had infiltrated the palace and stole half the map. Knight Virgil betrayed Fang to protect Simone and learned of the darkness that resided within. The conflict resulted in Svenja's life and knighthood coming to an early demise.Prince Alecion also informed Granate of Zhu's kidnapping of magical civilians, and a rescue team was sent to save the innocents from the atrocities of the camp. As they were helping the men, women, and children escape they encountered Mika. General Adara learned what her camps had grown into, and that they were using children as well. Realizing what her blind hatred had caused, she admitted her failings to her subordinates as well as a warning of Fang's plan. One general has gone to the capital to convince the King and Queen to seek peace, and they have sent their 2nd son towards Mazien in order to negotiate it. Nilin set out with Diana and Keket to find her son Cress and they have ventured into Zhu with the hopes to find him in Civok somewhere with Granate. The group with the Scriptures successfully separated Ash from his paper prison and were only too happy to leave him behind when Granate attacked, as well as set his entire library on fire. Due to a mistake with the teleporter's calibrations, they were dumped in the Wrixal River. Everyone and the book survived, though not everyone was particularly happy. With the scriptures in hand, all Fang needs now is the Tigrus.

Ashleigh was captured and received a trial that resulted in his death by the hands of the High Priestess. Meliai continued his reign of terror, subtly influencing not only the high priestess herself but also the council and members of the Granate Coven to further his agenda to take back the forest and eliminate the troublesome fangers.

• Even if there are no 'open character lots' and if my roster says 'full' , we are always open to seeing new faces and adding in new characters as long as new recruits are willing to pitch some cool ideas our way.

• - Number one rule - Follow Gaia T.O.S! That being said, always have fun and be creative! All races and sexual orientations are accepted. Keep in mind mages within the two covens can be of other races other than human. I, Koko the Boss, am the creator of Coven. I am one moderator of three, my other two moderators are Priestess of Athena and Satellite O Love. The three of us man "Coven Bot" which is used for announcements, anything coven related etc. Respect everyone in coven, especially the mods! Disputes between rpersmust be taken up first and foremost through the PMS. Whatever dispute or disagreement is going on, please be civil with one another. We are not little elementary kids who pull eachothers' hair when we're mad. Let's be more mature than that and talk things out. If things aren't solved through pms please notify the moderators for further mediation. Do not take out frustrations into the OOC or covenpad because it drags everyone down.

• - ABSOLUTELY NO GODMODDING, cybering or one-liners (please at a minimum have at least 1-2 well written paragraphs. Word count doesn't matter to me so long as you give others something to work with. And please, if I ask you to edit something, no complaining!). Plotting with others is highly encouraged. We plot via the CovenPad which you will receive a password for if you are accepted. AND we also plot via the OOC and pms so whichever floats your boat! Either way I can promise you that you will be included in plots! Post layouts at a minimum MUST HAVE 1) a picture of your character - only anime/drawn pictures please, 2) location of your character and 3) HP and either MP or EN. Every character will have an HP level. Only mages will have MP and non-mages EN.
  
  （✪）APPLICATION
  
• The reserve profile first and wait for approval before starting the main profile + stat sheet. You only have a maximum of five days to submit your main profile + stat sheet once your reserve is accepted. PM the profile after the reserve is accepted. Title the reserve pm, 'Coven Reserve'. Title the main profile 'Hell on Vangare' and only send in the link to your character thread. What is the character thread you say? Main Profiles must be posted in a separate Test Thread titled by the full name of your character. The Main Profile includes the finished main profile skeleton as well as the finished Stats Sheet for your character. Only material related to your character and the coven rp are to be posted within this thread. This thread link will be attatched to the character icons when they are submitted and accepted. STAT SHEET changes cannot be made until it is reviewed by the Mods ( i.e.: Adding abilities and powers ).
  
  （✪）POSTING ACTIVITY
  
• Your character will be killed off or puppet-ed if you do not respond to the first warning within 24 hours. We have an inactivity graveyard for those offenders.
  OPTION A//MARIONETTE In a nutshell, your character is godmodded by any applicable writer in the current rp group (meaning the writer of one of the characters yours is interacting with). This occurs if you are inactive for 6 days.
  OPTION B//LISTOMANIA Rather than surrendering control, you are allowed to post a placeholder in the IC containing a list of actions your character takes in response to what came before/to move the plot along. Though you're expected to flesh it out once you have time, I think that this option is far better than trying to tackle the writer's block monster after several attempts to put it back in its box (so to speak). This occurs if you are inactive for 7 days.
  
  
  （✪）LIMITATIONS
  
• We are only accepting characters that belong in this dimension. The characters are restricted to the lands of Vangare (there is one exception for a character for extraneous reasons) for purposes of keeping the main arc within the assigned continent and story flow. If current rpers with a character in Coven would like to make a new character - please notify Koko the Boss that you wish to do so and discuss the idea with Koko the Boss first. RESERVES are necessary to be sent to Koko the Boss when there is a new character idea before creating a profile. Do not take any information from coven that is not your own including lore and code without first contacting a moderator. Rpers are only allowed up to 3 characters - if a new character is wanted then they have must talk to the moderators to either store their character away or have them killed off. Moderators are allowed more than 3 characters.

They can be re-elected and must have been a Knight or Council member to be nominated into the core positions. The High Priest and High Priestess have the final say for the rules, regulations, construction, system changes and approval of new coven members. （✪）HOUSE FANG AND HOUSE GRANATE

• The Covens communicate with special purple gems called aliquams. Aliquams can only be activated by the user and can only hold one message for the user to listen to if they miss a 'call'. Both covens have three defense lines, the initial defense is a rift that encircles the coven. Rifts only come down during initiations once a year. The secondary defense is made up of physical walls and magical sensors along with a magical shield. The third and final defense is a magical sphere raised by give or more mages. This requires an incredible amount of force to break but on the downside requires multiple teams of mages to be rotated.   （✪）SETTING
  
• The three kingdoms of Vangare are made up of Civok, Maizen and Zhu. Technology wise, the continent of Vangare resembles European countries in the medieval era around the 1200's, though of course with twists due to their unique cultures. Zhu is slightly more advanced than the other countries and its technology is more similar to where China's technology was at the time. Keep in mind all technology is repeated under the corresponding country/coven entry, but everything can be found in depth here as well.   （✪）COVEN HIERARCHY
  
• Both covens are very traditional and stick to their culture of the hierarchy. Mages can go up or down the hierarchy depending on the position they obtain which is open to all. There are ' revered families ' . The covens care nothing for the noble titles used by the countries they secretly reside in. However, they do recognize those whose families have been dedicated to the coven for generations. These families are known as Revered families.
