Before answering Basil's question he went to a separate room, were all the medical stuff was stored, and put the mushrooms away, wear they wouldn't go bad, he then went back into the common room, " I've been here for a week since we found this place."
He said as he went to sit down, " Basil, Darius, and Thyme right, if any of you have any need for medical attention feel free to let me know."

"There's no escape, Astra!" the head Beast cackled. She was sounded by twenty of his strongest fighters, armed with nothing but a single blaster. "Your lucks finally run out."
She gazed unflinchingly into his cold, ruby eyes, the corners of her mouth turning up in the barest hint of a smirk. "Oh, has it?" Before they could react, she raised her blaster and. . . .

Zoe paused, pen hovering just above the paper. "What're you gonna do, Astra?" she asked, but of course there was no answer. She was completely alone, and had been ever since she escaped. "Has it really been a week?" she still couldn't believe it. In her ten years at the facility, she's tried running dozens of times. On her first attempt, she made it all the way to the fence, but got ensnared in the barbed wire around the top. As a result, she now has several small scars crisscrossing her abdomen, legs, and arms. As punishment, she spent a week in solitary confinement. By the times she was nine (at least, she thought she was nine. It was hard to keep track sometimes) she's was living there full times, far away from the other Experiments. The white coats called her a "Rabble-rouser." Zoe preferred the term "Firebrand."

It was in that dark isolation that Astra Zen--her brainy, snarky heroine--was born. Zoe'd spend hours on end coming up with all kinds of stories. Some days, Astra was a space pirate, exploring the endless wonders of the universe, or a spy, trapped behind enemy lines. And sometimes . . . sometimes when the cold and loneliness threatened to overwhelm her, Astra was just an ordinary girl, with a family, friends, and home. No matter what the scenario, one thing remained constant: Astra was blessed with extraordinary, superhuman luck.

"Sure could use some now," she hugged the notebook to her chest. It and the pen were the only things she managed to escape with, stolen from the woman escorting her back to her cage. Unlike a couple of the others, Zoe wasn't formally trained in combat, but she picked up a few things over the years--like how to use the element of surprise and put a white coat in a sleeper hold. Everything was chaos and confusion, whiling sirens and blaring lights. Zoe sprinted through the halls, blue eyes peeled for any possible exit. Unfortunately, the guards found her first.

To this day, Zoe had no idea how she got away. Everything was a burl of fists, feet, batons, and a sharp pain in her skull. Fueled by fear and adrenalin, she ran until she collapsed, too hurt and exhausted to go on. The next few days passed in a haze, hinged somewhere between dreams and reality. She remembers calling out at one point, but to who or what she couldn't say. When the fog in her head finally lifted, her mouth was dry, her lips were cracks, and there was a terrible throbbing behind her eyes. Anytime she sat up, or even moved too fast, she was overcome with dizziness. With agonizing slowness, she crawled to a nearby puddle, taking small sips until the wooziness faded and she could think again. The damage was just about what she excepted: goose egg on right side of her head, a handful of cracked ribs, and a various other cuts and bruises.

With no other chose, she found a place to hide (a hollow tree, blocked from view by brush and dead leaves) and that's where she'd been ever since; sustaining on puddles, roots, and even--in a moment of desperation--grubs. It wasn’t enough to ease the hunger pains or quench her thirst, but it kept her alive, and sometimes that's all you can ask for.

"What're we gonna do, Astra?" she asked again. Staying here was out of the question, they could find her any minute. "Maybe everyone else got out, too. The alarm went off for some reason. Yeah, I know it's a long shot, but it's the best we've got!" Mind made up, Zoe crawled stiffly from her hiding place and rose unsteadily to her feet. Closing her eyes, she clapped her hands; the sound waves bounced back, giving her a mental picture of the surrounding area. "That way," she decided, turning south. She walked for several hours, using a sturdy branch for support. Every couple yards she'd use her echolocation again, but the results were always the same: nothing, nothing, nothing, a cabin--wait!

By now her breathing was seriously labored, and a headache was building behind her eyes; she felt nauseated, parched, and her stomach gave a sharp pang, as if to remind her how empty it was. "Hey!" she called out horsey, "Hey, anybody there? I don't mean to intrude, but I'm about to pass out at your door so would you mind giving me a hand? Or at least some water? Oh, and aspirin would be nice, too! Lots and lots of aspirin . . ." she trailed off, waiting to see if her plea would be answered.

OOC: Okay, this turned out ridiculously long (sorry about that sweatdrop ). If I have to edit anything, let me now and I'll get to it ASAP. Since I can't remember who's in the cabin right now anyone feel free respond.

Ivan stood up quickly he smelt a slightly familiar scent, but it was masked by the scent of blood. His medical side instantly took over, and with out saying much to anyone else that was inside, he rushed towards the scent, When he heard the voice he instantly recognized it His eyes widened at the sight of the girl, " Zoe..." He said as he went to her side, and out her arm around his shoulders as as he put his other arm around her waste, He brought her into the house and took her to were all of his medical stuff was, " Here sit down." He said as he sat her down on a chair, and went to his bag, " Were have you been Zoe, I've been look for other subjects for days?"

"Ivan?" Zoe blinked. Was it really him, or had she finally stated hallucinating? It'd been years since she'd seen him--or any of the others, for that matter--not since she'd been moved to isolation. What are the odds they'd run into each here, of all places? Figment of her imagination or not, it felt awfully nice when he lead her out of the hot sun and into the cooler cabin. Even the simply act of sitting down set her cracked ribs on fire, and the dizziness had gotten so bad she didn't sit so much as slump to one side, cradling her head in one hand and clutching her notebook and pen with the other.

"I. . I was. . " she struggled to answer his question, but her thoughts were all muddled, and some of the events just didn't make sense. "I was. . at testing, when the sirens. . was that you? Tried to run, but the guards. . .think Astra fought them off. . .but my head. . .She got away, hiding, couldn't stay, gotta find. . others. . ."she'd started to slur, and hadn't even realized she'd replayed herself with Astra.
