Shadow Belmonte

Hello, this is Shadow Belmonte (obviously.)
I've sent this comment to let you know that I have removed you from my friend list for one of these reasons:
1. This is a mule account that I've forgotten to remove by the original owner's request
2. You've quit Gaia and I was not informed
3. It's just been a long time since you've been online

Nothing personal, just trying to clean up my friend list so I can figure out who is still online.
If you still want to be friends, just comment me back or send me a PM, I'll be glad to add you back right away.

Wow, that was a strange thing to happen, with that book.

Kind of reminds me of this one picture I accidentally managed to find and the history really creeped me out.
One day I went into a GoodWill store (place that people donate items and people buy them for really cheap) and was just walking around, and somehow, I manage to have this knack at finding something and it actually being worth something.

From the GoodWill store I first bought a small hand-crafted silver Christmas carousel, and looked it up online.
Nothing special about it, it holds a small glass container with a candle, but the glass jar and the candle are gone, but those can always be replaced.
I'm not really a fan of Christmas decor, but something just said 'grab it' and so I bought it for $3.
Apparently just one plain silver spoon from them starts out at the lowest price of $35, and I actually sent them an email asking if they had a listing price for what I bought, but they were like "We don't do such a thing, we don't give out that kind of information, and this isn't a price catalogue."
So I was like "Well, whatever year it was made for Christmas, probably not that easy to find like the other items are."
I'd definitely guess its price would be over $40, if not higher, and for such a small object it sure weighs a good bit.

Another time at the GoodWill store, I was walking around and came across a small egg on three legs, it was painted with gold and pearly-cream details, and it plays music as well as has a place to store rings inside of it, can have a small photo put on it as decoration.
I didn't own anything of an egg-base type before, have no need for jewelry, but just something stuck out and I bought it for $3 as well.
Looked it up online - a plain uncolored egg of the same exact thing started at the price of $75, and colored varieties were much more expensive depending on details and colors.

And then the picture I found at Goodwill - I was just walking along and I happened to see this ink drawing of a covered bridge, very small, the frame is only 6'' x 8'', the picture is 4.5'' x 5.5''.
But for some reason I just got the thought 'this reminds me of a covered bridge when I was little' and so I grabbed it and paid $6 for.

The creepiest thing about the picture that I had found: It actually was the bridge from my home town!
The drawing is black and white, with a small stream and some baby trees, based barely off of a street name.
When I was younger, under the bridge was a giant river with thousands of trees along the banks, and the street was later changed to a highway number after the drawing was made.
The guy who drew the picture lived a short distance from where I was born, and he died only a few years ago, which explains why his stuff was donated to Goodwill.
However, the bridge mostly washed away during a bad storm and half of it remained, and the town I grew up in tried to quickly gather funds to preserve the rest of the historic bridge, but with another storm the rest fully collapsed into the river, and people tried their best to salvage whatever they could find.

To find a hand-drawn image of an artist from my home town about a historic bridge that was washed away, I'm pretty sure that'd be quite the money.
But it's too special for me to get rid of, the only thing I get to remember the bridge I used to get to walk on before it washed away.
*hides it*

I've always been quite an unusual person for awkward / bad luck situations, and not to mention creepy accidental situations.
I've ran into my glass sliding door probably three times now, I've ran into the screen sliding door twice, and tripped over multiple chair legs at my work in the breakroom.
Bad luck situations, I managed to lock myself out of my own bathroom the night before college years ago, have had three Jesus-related glass pictures try to jump at me or try to land on my head, and managed to wear new tan pants and a new white Vegeta shirt only for a bird to poop on my shoulder and when running home, managed to trip in an unseen pothole and get a grass stain on my knee.
Also I can't tell how many times I've had birds poop on my head right after I showered, plus the incident that I had when my shoelace got caught in my bicycle chain and my bike pedal got stuck in a steep hill's railroad tracks.
My good luck I've had: I found loose change here and there, found a packet with under $20 in money someone left behind at a bus stop, and managed to get one winning lottery ticket for $20 - even though I was still behind by $40.

And I have had to walk under a ladder before at work, but no one was on it, and I had to reach through to grab some stuff off of a shelf because it was during the store remodel and the area was really cramped and small with all the packed up stuff, but it got me back for my stunt when I managed to slightly hit myself on the head but it wasn't even serious and didn't hurt, just surprised me.

The creepy part of it was when everything kept coming up the number 'ten' for over a month straight.
I'd buy something and it'd cost $10, I'd get 10 cents in change, I'd get dimes as change or find dimes on the ground, I'd buy something and it would be in a set of ten, plus a woman dropped ten dollars from a Subway store when she purchased a ten-dollar order and a shopping list, on the tenth of that month, ten days after I had found ten cents at the bus stop.
It was creepy and I told my manager all about it, and he was like "...I wonder what the number ten signifies now."

...
*runs to look it up*

Okay, how my bad luck started:
I woke up and had to do dishes, which somehow I managed to cut a small part of my hand between my thumb and pointer finger.
Friday morning our freight truck managed to show up over an hour late because it was having problems, but it was fixed and so we began unloading the truck when it was pretty much my lunch time.
While unloading the truck, I tried to toss an item into a bin, and it bounced out and landed on the floor, so I had to walk around and get it, and tried to toss it in again - and it bounced out a second time.
So I had to pick it up and drop it in, then tried to toss in another item to a different bin, and it bounced off the side of the bin and landed on the floor.
Usually I'm super at making shots all over the room, but I was falling short, over-shooting, things bouncing off rims and not going in, and stuff bouncing out and into the wrong bin.
But when the truck was over, I had my lunch - and almost choked on the soda by almost inhaling it, and almost choked on watermelon because I accidentally took too big of a bite and it was too cold for my teeth.
Then I managed to p***k my finger with a sensoring pin because it slipped out of a coat and got me, and then I managed to cut my knuckle with a bra hanger - which I didn't even notice until I saw my finger bleeding.
Once I finished hanging clothes for the time, I managed to trip over my floor mat when walking backwards, I walked backwards into my clothing table over three times in a row, and I backed up into my trash can and almost knocked it over.
So when I got off of work - I managed to cut my finger open trying to remove the lid from the watermelon canister, then I walked to the bus stop to catch the bus.
I went to get a drink of soda and almost choked by nearly inhaling it, managed to drop my lid on the ground and was forced to drink my soda quickly, and almost tripped backwards on the curb of the parking lot.
When I was at home and telling my mom what had happened, I went to step forward and almost tripped, because somehow a spare cooking skillet on the floor was pushed my direction when the dog sat down, and the handle managed to get snagged into both of the loops of my shoelaces.
Also I somehow hurt my pierced ear, because it was a little sore by night time and I took it out, to sleep without it in.

And then today I managed to run into my cousin, the one person I most despise on the face of the earth.

That's my luck.

No way, you're not one year older - you're one year awesomer.
Didn't you know that by now?
Here's the math:
Do whatever you want + Go anywhere you feel like + assume you know every kung fu move to become a master so you can take down the snot-nosed neighbor kid = strut your stuff.

Izualio

Izualio stopped himself from reaching a comforting hand for the poor man's shoulder. He had just met him, after all. Instead he frowned, and fixed a caring gaze on him.
"I'm sorry. But I do understand. You are dangerous, but it does not make you bad. Maybe she will still want to see you. Maybe she will try?" he offered.
Izualio took an instinctive step back when he saw the man's teeth bared at him, even if only for a moment, alarmed. "It is okay." The young Venetian smiled, to show his long fangs.
He was sure no explanation was needed after that, but continued anyway. "A different curse, but many things we suffer are similar."

(( Yes, exactly! I'm not looking for a Bestseller, just something moderately successful. Oh, god luck then. I'm currently writing for the university paper, so that's got something of the
publishing thrill attached. XD (not really..) But it's a start. I write mainly dark Victorian tales, but I also write fantasy with Woodelves, and the like. More the former, though. =w= ))

"You poor thing. You are very lucky to be alive, though, even if you are different now."
He nodded. "I have heard tales of people torn apart by them, not merely changed. Though it is
Still a terrible fate. Is Lilly your love?" Izualio asked, with a sympathetic look on his face. He knew how much the
Curses that changed people's bodies changed also their entire lives and relationships. He did not have a love to lose, but if he had he would have
Had to leave her in fear. He had left his family when they no longer wanted him, after all.
"I know your pain, sir." He said, simply.

((Ah~ I have the same dream, though I know it's a tough road. I don't intend to support myself through writing, but I doubt I'll be happy in life unless I'm published.
XD Ah. I ask because the vibe of it was very similar to her writing. She's my hero, so that's a big compliment!~ I'd never have the guts to put any of my serious writing up
for people to read on here. Just these rp's and such. XD))

"Oh..." Said Izualio gently, once he realized what the boy meant. "Yes...You poor thing.." Izualio spoke in a hushed voice, for the curse this boy suffered
was perhaps worse than even his own- definitely more painful. "How did it happen? When?"

(( Read his story in your journal, because the avi intrigued me. ;w; So beautifully written, might I say~ Are you a fan of Anne Rice by any chance? ))
