Authorities were there. Police have been really rough with protestors here. Even when they were protesting over George Floyd's tragic death.

It was such a hot mess...and very disturbing. They even welcomed people that came armed...so it was weird. I don't think it was peaceful...as you can tell I am still at a loss of words.

So...today at our state capitol...there was/is a rally AGAINST MASKS.
plz make sense of this. I raged pretty loudly when I saw that on my cell phone...
Oh my goodness that is such a bad idea, especially if someone is a light-weight like myself haha.

That's right. June 12 1898 was our official Independence Day from the Spaniards.
Interestingly, we became a colony of America for a time as well. The American colonization of our country ended back in July 4, 1946.

That's one thing I never understood! That we had restaurants open up but you have to wear a mask..just weird. Especially when waiters come and ask questions a lot.
Do you have to be a certain age/ show ID when you sign up? I am just curious how this all works lol
We were supposed to go with family because my Nana wanted to show us how she vacationed when she was young...I just hope that we can still do that one year!

ugh! I stopped at the store Sunday and my city has a mandate to wear masks. This old lady was complaining about it. I wanted to say "shut up" but I mumbled to myself lmao. And that's good you're able to be active! It's been too hot for me to want to try to be active.
I'm glad you were able to celebrate though! I honestly miss my routine of getting out of the house more.
I feel like a hermit, but like my introverted-ness loves it at the same time.
I just really hope after this is over, I will be able to go to The Smoky Mountains with my family! We were supposed to go this summer sad
