It’s been awhile! How have you been?
You know, just grinding for Plat.
So here they are, sorry about that. Yes, let's move this to my thread to avoid limits on profile comments; it uses a very old format.
LK updates
Let's chat here in my thread--All the Links....
Current run avi contest thread.
About Gaia; Lake Kindred changed while you were gone with better plat rewards and tons of new rigs and rewards see updates). People and game threads have come and gone. Babyboo is on hiatus as life got far too busy and her laptop is crashing; she's neither time nor money to repair nor replace it. We used to chat in her threads. To make it easier to chat now, lets do so over in my thread. Just quote all of this and bring it over there.
There is still one user run contest active and she starts a fresh thread each month. A new contest just started here and you can get on her quote list for each new one. Most have been quite unusual; this is the first one that is more prosaic, so I'm going to have to work to get interested and creative in it. I will play though. I'll just need to come up with some unusual twists to it. The nice thing is, even if you don't win that month, you still win some nice items. I never know if mine will; I've won most months, and even taken 1st place, but I've lost with some avies I really liked and got favored by many too. There is some amazing talent that enters her contests.
I did a long reply to this and it disappeared. How Gaian...
Thank you.
Congratulations on getting your degree; I know what an achievement that was for you, especially knowing your history. Are you planning on going on to get a 4 year degree? I'm sorry the job didn't work out and it put pressure on your mental health issues. I bet you learned tons though on what doesn't work for you, what a toxic workplace looks like and what to look out for to avoid at least that kind in the future. When you're ready to look for work again, I hope you find something much better. But even if it doesn't work out, you get unlimited tries to find something you will love, as long as you don't give up or settle.
I am more inclined to fully immerse in nature, than focus on getting pictures. Plus with one arm not working well, it's become very difficult if not impossible so just as well. My husband though does take tons of photos when we go. It's just hard to get him to share many; he tends to just store them on his computer and it takes a lot of bugging on my part to share them with me and a friend of ours who is a fantastic nature photographer who got him inspired and started. She joins us sometimes and she does share her photos fortunately. We've had lots of fun solving mysteries we've come across in nature too over the past 6 months, like butterflies that fly so fast they're just a blur zooming on by, large flocks of predatory birds (they turned out to be kites) that roosted in the trees near our house every winter night (formally endangered and usually only seen in pairs), and more.
