Blog/Future Vlog/Vegan/Art Thing
I run a blog/page about veganism in my community and paste my entries here for Gaia
The Dating Game/I Made Bread
It's practically been a whole month since I've posted! Not that I wanted to stop, but I've been busy, understandably. I have a lot to get through with this post, so I'll jump right in.

First and foremost, I have plans for this blog. Despite the small audience, I receive a lot of support and would very much like this to get off the ground, become a bit more organized, and feature more of what everyone really wants out of these: recipes. So I'm happy to announce that this will probably be my last post on 1) my iPad, and 2) the platforms I currently post on (local vegan group). I woke up today feeling like the time is right to finally buy a laptop, so that's going to happen soon. After I buy a laptop I am going to start an official blog. I'm not sure if I'll copy and paste my previous entries, or start fresh. But the laptop is also going to make it much easier to finally start bringing my recipes to YouTube, where you can see it be made without just pictures!

Am I financially in a place to buy a laptop? Probably not, but dammit if I've learned anything in the past month, it's that planning things out really sucks sometimes.

Bombshell: I'm not in Ohio anymore. After a month there, I realized it wasn't my home. Even though I transferred to a new painting studio, it wasn't enjoyable. They gave me far fewer classes than what I was promised, and there were no other job opportunities in the area. A lot of things stacked on top of each other and made me realize that I was wasting my time and my money. So I left work one day, threw everything into my car, and drove back to Indiana.

It probably makes me look like a fool, considering how longingly I talked about it in my previous posts. But I don't regret anything. I'm happy to be back. Above all, I really missed my job and my coworkers. It feels like I did the right thing, and I'm going to trust that.

But anyway, I'm leaving this very unpolished because I'm reformatting everything. I'm also very busy working on an illustration series. I'm quite the multitasker these days. But before I wrap this up I wanted to talk about this banana bread thing I made the other day that turned out surprisingly delicious.

Don't hate me, but I don't really have a full recipe for this yet. It was one of those nights where I really wanted to bake, and I had like three bananas that were about to go bad and I had to use them. So I made banana bread/cake. I'm not sure what to call it yet, and it still needs some tweaking. But here's what I did:

My dry ingredients mixed in one bowl were: about a cup of brown sugar, a cup of flour, a dash of salt, some cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and allspice, and baking powder. The wet ingredients were almond milk, vanilla, and melted coconut oil. Mix the two sets to create a batter, pour a little bit in a small pan to cover the bottom, add a layer of sliced banana, pour some more batter, another layer of bananas, and finally top off with the rest of the batter.

Now, this isn't a full recipe yet. That's to come. It's kind of in the planning stages. For one thing, I think the batter could have used some mashed banana for more flavor, and maybe more cinnamon. Next time I will definitely incorporate walnuts somehow, and maybe top it off with s streusel-like crumble? We'll see. You can either wait for the recipe, or just get in your kitchen and make something out of whatever you have lying around like I did! It's the reason I love cooking so much.

Okay so I'm going to go more in-depth when I get my laptop and have an actual keyboard to type my heart out...in the meantime just know I did not die! And more is coming!
