Log - May 24, 2010
Know that I had never forgotten, only neglected.
----
Reading back in this journal, I realise I knew nothing of my past. Why I came here or what I was sent to do, or even, if I belonged in Gaia at all.
All the while I've spent this time looking for answers, journal.
For four whole years, I never took up my pencil and wrote down in you what I found. But I believe I've found my answers. There's a whole world outside of Gaia. Past the reaches of Barton, Durem - the open sea. I simply needed to pass the boundaries.
I hope you can forgive me for my neglectance, you leather-clad collection of paper and rants. You've been a faithful companion during my stay in Gaia, but as a traveler with newfound information, I cannot stay and write much more.
My time is up, journal. I shall place you down and hope dearly that your pages will not fade before you're picked up and read again. Perhaps I will make return trips on occasion, but I'll be a passing traveler. You and I, journal, shall not meet again.
Thank you, journal. So long.
~K.Utagawa

PS. To who may read this:
Thank you. You are responsible for making Gaia for what it was and what it currently is. If we have met or my name sounds familiar, think of me with a smile.
I will have trouble remembering, but I will know you, too.
Thank you for any time we might have spent and shared together.
You and I are Gaian. This will never change.
