My Book
I've been writing in this since I was thirteen in 2007. I still am writing in it, and it will probably be my legacy till the day I die. (Don't start reading from the beginning as my writing was atrocious then.)
Bx19
------So this is a fresh entry. Fresh as in that what will be written on this entry literally just happened as I'm currently writing this. Normally I'd like to sit on my entries to figure out what I'm gonna write, to figure out phrasing and structure to see if the whole thing flows and what not. Some of my best entries here are because of that careful attention to detail on story telling, compared to ones where I just ramble whats on my mind.

------So its a busy Wednesday night for me. I just gotten out of an arranging session with Francis, Umru, and David. We're producing this song by a local artist Evans Lewis. It was a really productive session but that's not the main focus of the story. On a side note Umru is super famous, and if you google just his name his picture will show up. We normally finish around 11pm but we got a lot done today. I think its also the fact that we also started earlier at 2pm rather than our normal meet time of 5pm.

------In the past few weeks I've been taking the Bx19 home. The A/D train line doesn't run on 145th street at nights because they're doing construction. Normally my route home is to get on the D train and take the Bx36 to go home. its a faster and more efficient route that takes me only 20-30 mins to get home. The Bx19 on the other hand, takes me about 1 to 3 hours to get home depending on the traffic. If i take it in the afternoon or around rush hour, thats at most 3 hours. At nights its better because theres less cars on the roads. Compared to when I used to walk home, which is about 5 miles. It takes its an hour and a half to 45 mins at least depending on how lively I felt that day.

------So I'm on the bus. I'm tired. I don't listen to music during commutes because I work in a studio and all I do is music. Sometimes I write on the notepad app on my phone which later becomes future journal entries here. Sometimes I read a book or I nap. In this particular instance, I'm texting Kathleen. We met sometime at October but she never really remembered how. I remember meeting her and the "Beach" and she was with some of her friends. It's pretty insignificant because we just hung out. At the end of it I told her we should stay in touch more so, here we are. I'm deeply engraved in the conversation with her that I miss my stop. Of course once I realized this, I dropped the convo.

------The bus is empty and I'm at the last stop at the Botanical Garden. I ask the bus driver if he's going back and explained to him that I missed my stop. He laughs at me and, I laugh with him because its kinda funny. Then we just talk while he drives his route back. He reveals to me that he's 56 with two kids both in their thirties. He asked how old I was and, I told him I'm way younger than them. We start talking about bike rides because he says he bikes to work everyday. He lives by Mosholu Parkway by Lehman College. I told him that I used to bike there when I attended that school and its a nice scenic view because of the garden.

------Finally we reached my stop. I waved goodbye and I told him to have fun with his bike ride back home. He told me to get home safe. I wanted to write about this while its fresh in my mind because it made me happy. I believe its extremely wholesome to connect with a stranger who probably has a different human experience than me. It made me happy talking to the bus stop driver and, I wanna write more about things that makes me happy.

So, thanks for reading this slice of my life. I hope you enjoyed it. This is Anikacy, goodnight!
