Mononoke Hime 20th Anniversary 18 years ago I got to enough to watch Mononoke Hime in the theater and I was blown away. Tonight I was lucky enough to relive that experience again. The movie is amazing in so many levels. Outside of the amazing animation and music were the multi faceted characters, how strong female characters dominate the screen, but above all else is the meaningful plot that makes you want to make a difference. They're playing the dubbed version in the theaters next Monday, so it's not too late to watch this amazing film in theaters! Feeling a little under the weather. For the past two weeks I had been having trouble sleeping for more than 4 hours at a time. Took some night time cold medicine so I hope I can sleep through the night for once. xp The Gaia Favorites feature is almost ready, just need to make the searching function work right. Troubleshooting the search engine is a lot harder than I thought! sweatdrop LionHeart had been working on the notification system upgrade, I can't wait to show you all!

not having enough sleep sucks crying If you can, try doing some physical exercise. That always works for me!

Or you can try a hot bath and/or a massage. That also works for me too.

Barring that, there are studies that say you don't have to adhere to an 8-hour straight sleep pattern. smile The important thing is that you get enough rest!

Can't wait for the favorites features! With that, I can stop saving pictures of avatars I like heart

I hope the medicine helps to where you can get some sleep! I've never actually seen Princess Mononoke, but maybe one day my sister and I can sit down and see what all the hubbub is about. xd I look forward to the changes, and maybe some more news about Gelong Duske. rofl

Princess Mononoke was the very first anime film I had ever seen, and it was around a time when I didn't really realize I was watching "anime". It was on TV (I'd LOVE to see it in theatre) and was blown away. I had never seen anything like it in my life and it still remains one of my favorite films of all time <3

If you haven't done so yet, drink green tea before bed (or during dinner) so it can help relax your nerves. This way, you'll get better sleep and a readier mind when you wake up. It'll be good too if you go with the decaffeinated blend. :0

And woohoo! I can't wait for the favorite and the notification feature updates. >w<;

thanks for the heads up about the movie - i work right down the road from one of the theaters playing it and i would have never even known! looking foward to a Monday - who would have ever thought lol

yes! princess mononoke is the best! i cant wait to show it to my little boy. he already loves totoro, and dressed up at the lovable forest spirit last halloween. my current avatar is a mononoke hime celebration, heh.

hope you feel better soon and get some good sleep. i know that feeling when it comes to trouble sleeping lately, oh boy, no fun for sure.

I saw Princess Mononoke in theaters around the same time. It was the dub of course but i was mesmerized by its story and imagery. It remains one of my favorite Miyazaki films as well as one of my personal favorite anime's.

Cant wait to see the new feature! I'm so happy to see you guys back and working with the community again!

Hi Lanzer,

I work in a library and this Fall we had our first ever ComicCon. We named it the Great Geek Fest. People seemed to have fun and we are already planning for next year.
Anyway, because of the con, I wanted to do a special display of Miyazaki's works.So I read biographies of him and rewatched his movies.
I had never seen Princess Mononoke before and was absolutely blown away. I think all of his work has such beauty to it and I don't know how I had missed seeing this one before.

I'm so exicted to see what kind of surprises we get this year, I've never felt this excited cuz I feel closer with gaia somehow. I just hope we could add another new game(s) permanently so that it'll make Gaia much more interesting & lots of newcomers. Oh and also fixing the chat system would be nice too! along w/ inventory upgrades

Since you and the other old staffs are back not long ago (welcome back to gaia btw), we just need you guys to tyt and tc of yourselves wink no need to rush, keep calm and drink yo' tea or coffee. #teamgaia #unitedfamily X'D

I usually don't sleep but about 4 hours a day.. I sleep from about 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM..Then I'm up, but it seems if I do sleep more than 4 hours, I'm sleepy all day...
I'm excited about new things coming 2 Gaia... It would really be nice 2 have something at the bottom of the page 2 click on & it take U back 2 the TOP of the page... It would be faster than scrolling back up... Maybe a Arrow R words saying TOP R something like that... I've seen it other place & it was nice... Thank U... Hope U get UR sleep straightened out...
OH do U know why I can't arrange my inventory? I use 2 be able 2 but can't do it now... Is that something Gaia is working on?

You have tons of replies in that feedback thread mentioning that they DO NOT wish to take part in this and would very much appreciate an opt out ability. It isn't fair to force everybody to participate if they don't want to.

I went last night too, our theater was packed, which was so good to see whee It's amazing how well the animation has held up over the past 20 years. I'll admit half of the reason I went to go see it was for On Your Mark, I love the amount of story they manage to put in that music video heart

For sleeping, try to blank out all those thoughts of what you have or want to do the next day, maybe read something totally non-related in bed with a cup of ginger tea. People always say camomile, but ginger is better. Don't eat at bedtime except for a little protein, which helps keep sugar levels balanced during sleep, and the world won't fall apart if you take regular days off. Whole days, away from the keyboard.
