The Book of JB
This is dedicated to the relationship between God and me, as I am able to comprehend it. Ideas may change, and feeling come out, but in faith, the heart of this Journal will remain pure and dedicated to the Lord.
Purpose
Think of life, as to the meaning of it, and why we are here; in a world without God, no creator, no direction or guiding force to the hearts of men. What a sorry state it is that such men are left in.
A world with no creator is a lie and does not exist. To tell oneself that nothing created everything is to deny our own thoughts and heart. Can nothing create anything at all? From where does it get the something it would create? Nothing is just what it is, nothing.
Now we know that we were created by something, does the something not have a will? Surely it has a will, for how can a thing without a will create a thing with a will unless it itself has a will? What man makes a machine greater than himself? Or what man begets a child that without the help of a greater force becomes greater than the one who begat him? These things do not happen. The Creating Force has a will, yes.
Now we know a Creating Will has made all that we see and ourselves also, but to what end? How do we find this end? Is this Creating Will personal? Of course it must be personal, even a machine cannot make a car if it does not assemble it. So, by this we know that the Creator is.
Does the Creator have a purpose? It must have a purpose, nothing is created that is created without reason. Being less than that which has made us, do we create for nothing? To see the work destroyed? No man draws a picture or builds a fence, or waters a lawn for nothing. Therefor we know that the Creator has a purpose in mind.
How do we find out this purpose? Seeing the Creator is a greater thing than we are, and having a purpose has still found it reasonable (or needful) to create us with a will of our own; it also becomes necessary for the Creating person to reveal to us, in some way, its expectation or planned purpose for us as well as all we relate with (the creation around us).
We need to seek the Creator, but how does one inferior to the Creator commune with Him to receive insight as to our purpose? Thus it becomes most needful to seek out a revelation of the Creators will. How many wills does the Creator have for what He has made? One will, not the same will for all, but one will all together. Therein we discover that whatever revelations of the creators will we find will agree with one and other.
Why is it we see a world in which things rarely completely agree with one and other? There must be something disrupting things. Well obviously people disrupt things, we just kinda do whatever we want, and the creation bares the consequnces. But why would that which was created by a higher being, be made into such a way that would disrupt everthing around it? It is foolish to think the Creator wanted to create a destroyer. Something, therefor, is wrong with man. Therefor any theory that man is alright as we are is by logic, and real evidence, unthesable.
Well you may say, "it's not MY fault the Creator hasn't told me what He expects of me!" How much searching for the Creator's purpose for you and the creation, have you done? Honestly.
So why don't we change ourselves and will ourselves to do better? That would mean to stop doing what we want to do and start doing what we are supposed to do. "But I don't want to." Again we begin to see the depth of our corruption. We don't just mess up things, we have a force driving us to mess up things. If a man at this point chooses to resign himself to this failed condition, than he acknowledges that every evil that befalls because of his condition is justified, even to ones own destruction.
Will the Creator tolerate a creation that causes continual damage to remain in that state? Will He not either fix it, or destroy it as defective? But what do we do then? Because I find that no matter how hard I try, I still seem to mess up (this is assuming you know the purpose you were created for)Do I stop trying not to mess up? You're getting warmer. Oh who shall deliver me from the body of this death?! I thank MY God through Jesus Christ... and I turn in mind and heart from serving sin in myself. By the power of His might I rebel against the old nature that binds me, and I know that by His death, I am set free.
