Who am I?

I am a disciple of the Lord, Jesus. I love truth. And I believe in the power of his name. I don't like ignorant opinions and I am very proud of the Living God. If you think I talk alot about Jesus, I say who is worth more attention than God's Son? Who has done more for any one of us than He has. He is first in my life. He teaches all things and through him we can do all things well. I also believe all truth, pursued to it's logical conclusions will lead back to Him.
I am also an apprentice electrician with the IBEW, and enjoy and appreciate many good things.

Well, I just remembered I seem to enjoy those ridiculous romantic comedies... I just watched Just Like Heaven, and it made me cry just a little, but it ended well. I saw Walk the Line, the Johnny Cash movie previously and although that wasn't a comedy, they both had a good focus on the joy found in selfless love. It is always warming to see people have the courage to put themselves aside for their love of someone else... even when the risk is great. I think that is residual of the imageness of God in man.

Nice post in the 'Spirits' thread in ED. I admire those who are dedicated and don't buckle under pressure. Brave too here on Gaia where 'Those who stand for nothing fall for everything'!

You Riyo? A problem? I don't think you have a special problem apart from others, but we all have problems. I was explaining the significance of my signature about the smartass being a dumass.

And yes it is a very large "knife." I would hope to do what David did after he knocked Goliath out flat with the sling. He took Goliath's own sword and used it to cut Goliath's head off. Jesus calls David a man after God's own heart. However, it wasn't because he killed Philistines. It was because when David faced a challenge bigger than him, rather than try to find a way to deliver himself, he turned to God over and over again for deliverance and after the deliverance he was more inclined to do the will of his saviour. But if you've never felt the need to be delivered, you might not have a feeling for what I mean.

Riyo, haven't you ever heard? "There are no new truths because the ancients have stolen them all." I wish I could give credit for that quote, but I can't remember where it originated... I heard it from Dr. Gene Scott.

I feel that facing the fact that you have a problem is the first step to overcoming the evil with good. It's displacement. When you measure what we do know with what can be known, you realize that no matter how smart we think we are, we are really still pretty dumb. But I accept your salute and return it.
