English Susan Price - another of my fav authors.
She writes very well and seems to like writing about mythology.
The cover is by Liz Pyle - have seen her work before, brilliant stuff.
Oh, and although the copy I read is in JF, it should be in YF or even Adult.
Hmmm.
Am gonna send it to CYS and they can have a look...

What can I say about it but - heart
It's the fifth book in the series... or the second in the Deep books.

I want to read the next book right now.
But it'll prob be a year or so before being published.
Damn good author is Gliori.
Oh yeah, she also illustrates her own books.
Okay.
They can be excellent to just okay - the illustrations in these books that is.
She has picture books out.
I haven't seen them to check out the illustrations.
Or even if Gliori herself did them.
I would have used this for yesterdays or todays entry... but there isn't a blurb.
Let me try to describe the books.
Family lives in a big old castle in Scotland.
Mum is a wannabe witch, Dad can do magic to some extent.
Three children : Titus, Pandora and Damp.
Damp is a blossoming witch, she's only two or so.
An ancient ancestor who has put herself into the freezer to preserve herself, until scientists find a cure for death.
Nanny - Flora, is an imortal - and a magic user.
Marie Bain - a very bad cook.
Latch - butler - loyal, falls in love with... uh, not saying.
A bunch of Titus and Pandora clones (small) - don't come in till the 4th? book.
Family has a group of beasts.
A gargoyle, crocodile, yeti, young female dragon.
A talking rat named Multitudia.
A talking spider that puts lipstick on her mouth parts.
As there's a loch nearbye - there is the Sleeper (think Loch Ness monster).
Father, who is from Italian origins has a brother, Luciano, who is out to kill the family.
S'tan - satan - is also out to get the family.
God's called the Chef.
Lots more characters and it's all pretty funny.
I get tomorrow off.
Guess who's gonna sleep in?
