Anything and everything, won't be daily, could be a load of rubbish...
100
Still have Millie.
Rescue is full.
Her babies - 3 boys went back (all adopted) when they reached their surgery weight.
We gained a very needy ginger boy in exchange.
Called him George. Very skinny and scared of other animals. Obsessed with food. Took a week for him to settle with Millie's 2 girls. Then another week for him to realise the adult cats were not going to harm him.
Took him and the girls back yesterday.
In exchange we got a very young mum cat with 4 of her own plus 2 big cuckoo babies. Twice the size of her little ones. She had accepted them... I really wish the staff had paid attention!
Mum cat has hardly any milk. One of her own babies weighs 109g less than the other 3 and another has urine scald.
And the cuckoo babies - glue on their tails and back paws... and in spots on their heads.
Oh. And the little runt - her eyes are infected.
Have been bottle feeding the two that need it.
Have started the cuckoo babies on wet food. They get the "meat shakes" (wobbly heads etc) but are enthusiastic when they taste the food. Messy eating as usual. It'll take a few days to get them eating by themselves.
I am afraid we will loose some. We have contacted the pound for eye medication and ointment for the scald.
All had a wash. Scrubbed up nicely, but scald girl may have to make a trip to the vet. Debridement?
We are having fun with floods affecting travel. Have had to use annual leave for days when I can't get to work.
Trains - most services in my area are cancelled or even show up as unscheduled services.
Messages from the train mob - avoid non essential travel..
Sigh.
