those last few days ...



the world had changed so much over the span of Mina's life empires had come and gone , cars had replaced horse back . and through out it all Mina had Love , through out it all she had saved her soul and kept her self because of one person , because of her Rose. and as time went on because of her family , her daughter , daughter in law and the baby Violet the small quiet bookish werewolf who always hid her strength . her smallest flower and nearly as priceless as her wife .

a knock of the door brought Mina out of her thoughts and a moment later the slim figure of her grand daughter slipped in looking at Mina with a soft smile that made her hazel green eyes sparkle . " Violet " Mina spoke softly looking the girl up and down at her white dress and the fact she did not look pleased " That dress not suit you my dear little flower . whom made you wear it ? " She asked trying to hide smile forming on her lips watching her grand daughter squirm a little before the girl finally let out a puff of air " Mama " she finally said shrugging " she thinks it will help me find a mate , I am eighteen years old now and yet I am still single . and she thinks these petals will help " Mina held a hand up and V iolet was quiet " Did you know your mothers met because of me ? Kat was my dearest student at one time , I Worked at a library for a lifetime I watched her grow like I watched you do the same , when time came for your grandmamma Rosie to come back I sent your mum to find your mom and watch over her .... it was love at first sight before that moment I was worried that your mother who was twenty three by the way would not find love . now go to the closet and find the surprise I had made for you . " Mina said watching the girl with half closed eyes as she opened the closet letting out a oath that mina tisked tisked before laughing softly at the girls reaction to the gray suit and hand made shoes " Grand mother ? " Violet said softly " Yes I know your tastes little flower , if this makes you happier to wear men's clothing than do so , if you love men or woman or neither or all whom are we to judge you . " Violet took the clothing and went behind the changing screen " I am not trans grandmother " Violet said grunting to get the dress off " But I am more at home in these clothing . " Mina got to her feet and walked to the screen " Your mum was like that little flower until she settled down , besides you look wonderful in a suit now come I am sure our guests are waiting . " violet stepped out from behind the screen smiling standing up straight her long hair tied back with a matching gray ribbon " shall we grand mother ?" Mina nodded and took the young woman's hand not telling her this would be her final ball ...
