So I'm back home and I'm happy to see my family. Everyone's getting along and that's always nice. My two younger brothers are home, but they're forced into being lethargic. One got injured in basketball for the umpteenth time and needed leg surgery, the other injured himself at work and needed shoulder surgery. But they're not being too negative about it, even though I can tell they're getting bored of TV and video games, which are usually their lives, but it's getting too excessive.
My youngest sister is out with friends, so I'm waiting for her to get back. And my other sister was home last night when I got here with her boyfriend and son.
Now I like my nephew. He's not quite two and a rambunctious little fellow. Cute as hell. But I'm a little ticked. Of course, I know it's not his fault, as he is just a baby, but it still sucks. Like last night I was sitting on the floor eating strawberries and he thinks it would be a great idea to come up behind me, wrap his little arms around my neck, and hang there. It's not like he's heavy, but that didn't stop a chunk of strawberry from trying to go down the wrong pipe.
Then, early this morning, about 3am, I wake up to him yelling. He doesn't really cry anymore, he just yells when he wants attention. Whatever, I expected that, because my bed is back at my apartment and I'm stuck sleeping on the floor. I figured I'd get woken up. But my mother decided to take him out of his crib instead of ignoring him until he goes back to sleep. So he's running around the living room. I woke up this morning and my glasses were on the floor, snapped in half. He must have knocked them down and stepped on them. So now I'm stuck wearing a prescription from '05 that is just dreadful, but I can't see without glasses. I am damn near blind without them. So I'm stuck with wobbly vision until I get a new pair.
Which reminds me, I need to make an eye appointment.
