Where flowers bloom, so does hope.
Flowers are the only thing God forgot to put a soul into.
My recent experiences with zOMG.
One thing that I loved about Heralds of Chaos is that the only person I really had to depend on was myself. I could play against the computer over and over again, and that was fun for me. As much as I love zOMG, you have to depend on other people and that's now always easy to do.

I've been leveling my husband's account, and I've realized how cliquey zOMG is. I've known it for a while, because I somewhat experienced it last year when I leveled this account. It wasn't a crazy amount, because my username isn't much different than Tannsy, just one letter off, so people pretty much knew it was me, ya know? This time I've been playing on Ja's account, and only a select few know it's me. James doesn't have any zOMG friends, or anything like that, and I've been leveling his account via a crazy amount of Papa Saw (I actually DREAMED about saws the other night - that's really saying something) but when I got a substantial amount of buffs and the main set I use when I smeb/smob, I decided, why not smob with a few friends. I smobbed with Akai a couple times, it was great. I saw a friend recrewing for smeb, and I thought, why not? I joined in, and noticed in the crew (which was full) I'd crewed with everyone in the past and 4/6 were on my friends list on this account. I was really excited and going to mention that I was Tanns(i/y) but got distracted, and never got to it. Things were okay in the crew until I lured clams after killing queen. I know that when I'd amp smeb with other crews (granted, this was back in November, right before I got my Masters) we'd leave the clams, but no one else was amping, and the leader actually said get clams, so I lured them. It pissed a couple people off. I was told that since it was smeb, you don't lure clams. News to me? Especially considering I had done one earlier, and we got clams. It was no big deal. It got to the point where it got to slight name calling.

Had I been a new zOMGer, had this been 3-4 years ago, and I was brand new, I would have been like, "Okay, this is how zOMG'ers are? I'll just quit now, especially if they jump all over you over one simple mistake that really isn't a mistake, I mean, everyone smebs and smobs differently...oooh, you have to kill for an extra 10 seconds if that." - I know that there are a lot of great zOMGers out there, but it's people like I experienced that make me wonder if those kind of attitudes (and I do experience that a lot!) is the reason why only a few people out of ALL of Gaia actually actively play zOMG. The goal all along has been to bring in active members into the game, to boost the numbers up. But let me tell you, actions like that don't really help the game out, nor does it make you look good. I am really disappointed to say that this is someone on my friends list, someone who I really enjoyed crewing with. Maybe they're having a bad day, and I will keep that in mind, because I've always had a bad day (lets just say I'm having a bad year), but still. Acting like the world is going to end because you have to kill for an extra 10 seconds, and then trying to belittle someone? That's not really cool. I just think it's really rude. When I randomly wrote that over half the crew was on my friends list on my main, and that I was leveling my husband's account they were all quite interested in figuring out who I was, and then people stopped running their mouths. Quite interesting.

Just my experiences. smile
