The Darkness.
An overhanging shadow to us all.
Even the strong can be overcome by
It's Dark Presence.
A shining beacon of light is needed
To combat it's force.
Can I be that beacon?
Or is my own Darkness too powerful?
Sometimes I wonder
What's out there in this world.
For me and my inner circle
Of Friends.
I can't seem to find an answer
To that question.
But I plug on, always aware
Of the Journey, the path I have taken.
The Cracks.
The Earth is littered with them.
Evil pours through them
Forever more.
Many have tried to seal them,
To no avail, and die.
Always with the one last thought:
"Maybe Next Time."
A hero is needed.
One who can seal the cracks
With a mighty blow of his sword
Forever more.
But the fumes of this world
Cloud the judgment of the Hero
And he can't find his sword.
To Close the Cracks.
A temptress.
Always omnipresent in the fairy tale
That makes up this world.
Lusting.
She temps the golden heart of the Hero
And earns her name.
Distracting, always distracting him from
His quest for a great Peace.
An Abyss.
Her heart exemplifies this word
And shows her true intentions.
Destruction.
And the Hero falls down into her heart
Tumbling ever on
Until he realizes there is no escape
From Hell and Damnation.
The Sword.
The Sword shines for the Hero,
And he realizes that it is not he
That must shine.
But it was the Sword that must shine
Forever more.
And I was only it's vessel
For the next Hero to claim it's glow.
The Hero is free!
The abyss that is the woman's heart
Has been scaled by a stairway of light
To Freedom.
And now I continue on my Journey
of Slaying Evil
Carrying the light of my Sword
Now willing to give up anything for it.
