World of Mistake Faerie/Fay K Stringer
RP Interview
Blaine sat down opposite the young, blonde, female reporter and smiled softly as he shook her hand. He had a confident, casual expression on his face and a knowingness in his eyes. His movements were smooth, professional, and....very sexy without his attempting to be that way. His posture was near perfect and his energy level was what any reporter would want as if he knew how it would be captured by the cameras exactly.

Blaine was wearing a very fashionable and creatively designed red jacket, white shirt, and a pair of black suit pants that really seemed to show off his body without anything too perverted. His hair was as it normal was, curly for sure but well taken care of. His smile was dreamy and his eyes, that were usually expressive, had a depth to them of kindness, calm, and trust.

“Blaine,” the woman, Diana laughed as she seemed to display a kind of cute nervousness, “It's always good to have you on our show. Might I say,” she touched his arm and Blaine just allowed himself to smile more. He was so open and genuine, so honest and just, as Kurt had said, amazing, “that that is one extraordinary jacket. I haven't seen anything like it, tell me do you think that there is a woman's version of that jacket. I mean who designs a thing that beautiful and yet powerful?”

Blaine closed his eyes, he laughed and shook his head gently, “I'd have to ask the designer myself if he can make more than one, and of course it's my husband's design. I believe he even worked on the details himself by hand.” He stuck out the sleeve of the leather jacket and gestured to some work around the sleeve including the button which had a B on it. “I think Kurt's got some really impressive surprises in his fall fashion line. I can't see how anyone would not want to buy something for themselves, I've personally stolen a few items for myself,” he joked.

“And is this one of them?”

With a cute smile Blaine rolled his eyes playfully, “This particular jacket, I think he made for me so that I wouldn't steal any more of his work before he got a chance to really make sure that everything was perfect for the magazines and industry guests he has at his shows. He really is the talented one in our marriage.” This was a common thing, whenever Blaine would go to an interview he would compliment Kurt in some way, it was the same the other way around though, Kurt had said quite often that Blaine was a big part of his inspiration, the one with the opinion he cared most about, and the person who could truly fit the clothes and style of his work.

“So, talking about work,” Diana continued, “Is it true that you're leaving Broadway this year until the end of August? What are us New Yorkers going to do with ourselves without you?”

“Thank you,” the curly haired actor replied, “Broadway is of course my main passion and it means a lot that fans like you come out and support me. I'm often worried that I might disappoint the people who actually do come out to see me, it's very surprising when I leave the theatre how the fans react and if it wasn't for my husband being there I'm sure that at times I would never be able to go home for days. However, there are some better, more brilliant, new actors that are going to take my place. Jason Lynn for example has a voice that I wish I could match and the acting style of Fabio Martinez, pretty much flawless.”

“And is your husband okay with you being away for five months to work on the show?”

Blaine sighed but it wasn't so much as a dismissive sigh as a reflective one, “I think I'm more worried than he is about the separation, it's been about a year and a half since the filming for “Singing in the Dead of Night” ended so...”

“This is the Broadway show you created yourself which was then turned into a movie, the one where you received both a Tony and a Golden Globe nomination,” Diana interrupted, “It was a bold move starring in your own award winning show.”

Blaine laughed again and shook his head, “That was all last minute. I never intended to be the one in that show but two weeks before our first performance the actor we had hired told me he was leaving for a show that fit his style more, we had already sold tickets and I just decided to take the lead role so that we didn't disappoint those who had already paid. Of course, I was expecting that with me as the lead it would be a good show but the reception it received was...nothing I could have dreamed of.”

“And as everyone knows that title was inspired by the song “Blackbird” which is the first moment you realized how in love you were with the man who would become your husband,” Blaine laughed as he reflected on that moment and the depressed but still beautiful and amazing fellow Warbler who was singing. One might think the moment was an odd one to pick, how could you discover someone was truly your soul mate whilst he was grieving a bird, but this was how it had happened. “So back to the show, “Teenage Dreams” that you'll be filming this upcoming year where you will be turning twenty six. Can you tell us anything about this?”

Blaine nodded as he stopped reflecting on that memory that meant so much to him, “Well the show which name draws from Katy Perry's work is about a high school. The main characters are myself, Selena Lanner, Tyler Scott, and the very impressive Clara Willings who has the part of the school principal. We also have some special guests lined up for the first seven episodes we're doing and then if the network likes it the show will continue. The character I play, is called Sean Darren Archer, but it's shortened to Sean or Archer depending on who I'm interacting with.”

“And what can you tell us about this role?” Diana asked.

“Sean is, a very flawed character which suits me perfectly,” he joked, “He has this very complicated backstory which I am not allowed to disclose so you'll have to watch the show. What I can tell you is that he's a junior in high school who is still in the closet, he's starting to discover himself and with the focus around a group of teenagers who create their own glee club and musical program, there are many times when what he's thinking or feeling can only be expressed in the songs that he sings. Later in the series Sean is actually found out to be quite athletic and joins the football team in one episode only to find out later that his passion actually is in something quite different.”

“And this is a reflection of your own life?”

“Yes and no, but I'd say that you'd have to see for yourself. I was in my high school glee clubs and did perform in two school musicals, I took a smaller role in senior year because of how I got depressed with the long distance relationship that I was in, but it has always been that relationship which is the most important thing to me. I also have some boxing experience, and even though the circumstances were a little....puzzling, I was one of the captains of the cheerleading squad in my senior year which helps me show some of the athleticism.”

“So, we're almost out of time, but Blaine, before we send you off for the night I have two final questions. First of all, what are your plans for the holidays, Thanksgiving is coming up on the twenty sixth which is Thursday and Christmas is right after. We rarely see the fantastic and gorgeous Anderson-Hummels around during the holiday season.”

Blaine nodded, “I'm afraid that'll be the same this year, but not too afraid. My husband and I like spending Thanksgiving with friends. We've got some plans with our friends in the city and as for Christmas, we still have to do some of our shopping, it may sound silly but we really disguise ourselves and participate in Black Friday if only for my husband to get his hands on as many freebies as he can, scarily it's one of his favorite things about November along with cyber Monday. Well for Christmas, it's traditional for us to spend it with loved ones, my Kurt's, my husband's late mother had a desire each year to spend it with those she loved and I fully support my husband in that. It started out with me, for lack of a better word, giving him Christmas and following his lead but it ended up being as important to me as it is to him. On New Years we are back in New York but,” he had a playful look in his eyes, “Just how we celebrate that is between us and our guests if there are any.”

Diana nodded as she took in all of that information, “It's always cute how much you two really do care about one another. So final question, tomorrow is Saturday, the famous date night between you two, have you got any plans? Is it his turn or yours?”

Blaine looked away and then closed his eyes, “We always have plans, tomorrow night we have reservations at an exclusive Italian restaurant that when I was younger I never dreamed I could afford to actually eat at. As I am aware most people in New York know, my husband loves scarves and he wanted to go somewhere exclusive and upscale to show this particular scarf off. He's cute like that. After the restaurant though I've planned something as a surprise for him, but I know he's backstage and I am not going to ruin it for him. I believe he has an interview on Tuesday next week about his work and I'll leave it to him to tell you how it goes.”

“I'm sure we'll be hearing about it then. Anyway Blaine, thank you again for coming and talking to us about your work and I am definitely going to need a review on the food at that restaurant. Italian is one of my favorites.”
