This is a re-read.
Last time read when I was studying Library Practice at good old TAFE.
The fond memories...
Hang on!
This book was rather traumatic.
Why?
Because I sort of lost it.
TAFE in those days charged over 100 dollars for lost books - and this is a paperback - JF/YF.
But it turned up again.
Phew.
(I had left the book at a friends house.)
Homosexuality.
Confusion of... what you are/want to be.
Coming of age.
All that mixed together.
Brilliant book.
Well, I think so anyway.
Oh, and poof means gay or queer.

I'm not scared of sex. I want it like crazy. But not
like that, with someonw I don't even like.

Peter is fifteen, an ordinary kid who enjoys
riding his dirt bike and wants to be a photo-
grapher. In his world, a boy is considered a man
only if he obeys an unwritten set of rules: he
must seek out danger, talk rough, get girls -
any girl. If he's different, he's labelled a poof.

Pressured by his peers and by society to
conform to this stereotyped male image, Peter
finds himself both confused and repelled. His
confusion, and his horror, increase when he
finds that he is attracted to David, a friend of his
older brother, and gay.

I missed Japanime again.
Aaagh.
Interview news first...
I survived the interview!
I'm amazed that my head didn't explode or something!
I felt better than I have before.
Won't find out for a few weeks.
I got home from work last night, and spent hours avoiding the idea of going over my interview responses and looking for my suit (which I found after much searching).
Talked to foul mouthed Jozilla - she helped to calm me down because we just talked nonsense.
Also got paid today.
After I paid bills I went to the DVD store!
You wanna know what I got?
Well too bad!

S-cry-ed 4, Dead leaves (have been waiting for this one), Last exile 6 (last one??), The twelve kingdoms 2 (hopefully I'll be able to understand this one!), I, robot, Rurouni Kenshin 14 (finally!), Heat guy J 4 and Vandread second stage 1.
I forgot to mention that I picked up Ran (Kurosawa rules!!... uh ruled...) last pay.
Have ordered Sanjuro.
I know it's not as good as Yojimbo, but it's still good.
Dion at the store gave me a Studio Ghibli cardboard advertisment for Kiki's delivery service.
(Such a funny movie!)
I may give it to Brooke, or I may keep it for myself.
It'll go with my hobbits.
Yeah, I got a big hobbit size cardboard thingy with the four hobbits on it.
Wanna make something out of it?
Heh heh.
I want to see Innocence - Ghost in the shell 2!
But tickets at Japanime are sold out!
I am so unhappy.
Well, not literally.
Just peeved.
I always forget that Japanime comes once a year and find out too late.
Bugger!
Finished Seasaw girl by Linda Sue Park.
It was interesting and well written, even if it was a little short.
Michelle's quote.

(Writes on piece of paper and hands it over.)

Anna banana's 2nd quote.

A song obviously, but who is the artist and what is the title.
(She shrugs.)
Scott's 2nd.
"I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it."
Does this mean Scott is insane?
Rachel's 2nd.
"It's not enough to be busy, the question is : what are you busy about!"
