Today is the day. The day I ask my boss to let me live with the love of my life down on Earth. I’m so nervous. He’ll probably say no. Do you know how hard it is to create a human life that hasn’t existed before? It’s extremely exhausting and I know it tires Him out. But, it doesn’t hurt to try. After all, I’m in love with her. What cause can be nobler than true love? What if He doesn’t believe that it’s true love? What am I thinking? Of course He’ll believe that it’s true love. He knew the minute I fell in love with her. She was just 16 years old, but I knew I couldn’t be content to just hide in the background of her life anymore. I’d been there for 16 years and I had been getting tired of not being able to comfort her when she was sad or heartbroken. I mean, I did all a guardian angel can do. I sat and watched and made sure she didn’t get into too much trouble. I have to let her make her own mistakes, though. And I did, but I’m not saying I enjoyed them. I waited 4 more years to build up the courage to ask the Man in Charge for something completely unprecedented.
